Silver Jedi 101: Introduction to Us

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
[member="Nima Tann"]

Matsu looked at the twi'lek and raised an eyebrow as she saw the others choosing and had been surprised... Mostly she had to have a little pride at not being picked last after all that was nature. "Very well Nima." She bowed her head and looked up at her while offering to go off a little to the side so they could both see Aika for the next part of the lesson. Her hand grabbing the hat and holding it for a moment as she spoke. "There is no need to be nervous, we are all here to learn about the force, ourselves and each other."

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Her eyes dance over the others as they began to move about, each needing to take a partner of her own. In truth, she hadn't thought about the possibility of there not being enough people. Actually, she hadn't even counted, but someone else had..

Her eyes moved to Niamh as she approached, the awkward feeling deep within her stomach returning, The same sensation she felt whenever something caught her off guard or embarrassed her, and that was exactly what happened, mouth opening but no words coming as her mind processed the girl's choice to pick her. Then again, perhaps she over thought it. After all, it wasn't as if she picked her for any particular reason. It was just because they all needed a partner. Right? Right?...

"O...okay." That was her only word muttered as her gaze began to trail over the girl, her face instantly becoming a crimson red. Her eyes remained on the girl, as she awaited the others to finish taking a partner and give her their attention once more. Until then, stare away she did...

Mimicking a broad grin the Gand focused on [member="Ricardt Darkmourne"] as he approached, Siather was pleased that he was chosen so quickly in the grand scheme of things. He stepped towards the other man giving a small nod of affirmation that he was ok with the selection. It didn’t really matter to him as long as he had someone to pair with for this exercise. He had a little experience with telepathy but there was so much he could still learn. “That would be acceptable certainly, this one hopes you do not have too much trouble understanding his mind it is much different than your own.”

Looking at the rest of the group it seemed they were still waiting for people to pair off, so he waited patiently for more instructions from the master leading the class. The woman seemed nervous, he didn’t know what she could possibly be nervous about she was teaching them skills she had presumably long since mastered that should in theory give her more confidence.

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
As she agreed to be partners in this training, Nima smiled in happiness. Tone of [member="Matsu Ike"]'s voice made her calm down a bit, she really had the wisdom of a Master in her voice. She nodded and sat near to her. "I am sorry. I... can be a little nervous when speaking to people." she said with a big smile on her face. Then, she heard [member="Aika Kawakami"]'s voice, she could understand that she was shy like Nima, that could be read from her voice. Then she looked at the woman beside her, she was excited to learn about her because her story could be interesting. "I am excited to learn!" About you... She didn't say the last words, thinking it would be rude to say. As the Master said, she would get to know her pretty soon.

A grin touched the Echani's lips. Ever a bold one, she was. There was no playing games when it came to Niamh. In fact, she was really enjoying all of this. The awkwardness displayed on the Master's face only made everything better for her. Of course there was more to her choosing the woman than simple desires. There was something about her that Niamh could feel.

Relax, Master Kawakami. You're very beautiful, but I won't make a move on you right now.

She winked at the woman, after projecting her thoughts to the Master's mind. Oh yes, this was going to be fun.

Matsu looked at her and gave a nod of her head. "Learning is always a good thing to do, your questions are welcomed. We'll go back and forth to learn all that we can about each other." Matsu was taking in the girl more with curiosity and intrigue, she seemed anxious and wantign to ask more or maybe it was the jedi's imagination getting the best of her while she sat there. "To start I am Matsu Ike formerly of the jedi order... and you Nima, how are you?"

[member="Chi'Yara"]

everyone had paired off except for Dagos and another Padawaan that he had seen around a few times before at the other various training sessions. he seemed like a good young man who would make a strong Jedi and a solid friend. Dagos made his way over to [member="Chi'Yara"] careful not to bump into any of the others that were moving about find their own partners.

"You and me eh? should be fun."

[member="Aika Kawakami"]

Chi’Yara blinked and looked to [member="Dagos Terrek"], recognizing him from the other group training sessions that he’d taken part in. He offered a small smile and nodded, glancing to the others that had paired up and the one new arrival, raising an eyebrow at his sudden appearance. That one he hadn’t seen around before, but he supposed they would become better acquainted in time.
He looked back to Dagos and finally spoke, “I’m looking forward to it, certainly.”

Oh, how she wishes she could just die right about now...

By this point, the face of the Jedi master was as red as the blood in her body. The fact that this young girl had slipped into her mind, and said such things, only moved to send Aika over board.

M-make a move... On me?! What did she mean by not right now?! Oh, Force help me...

Her thoughts were as ragged as her breathing was becoming. Finally, after staring at Niamh like a lost puppy for long enough, she pivoted quickly and suddenly, facing the others in the class once again as she fought to regains the slightest bit of her composure.

"Ah...okay! Since it seems like everyone has a partner, we'll get started!" Aika took a few steps to the side, simply aiming to put a bit of distance between herself and the incredibly forward Echani. "The biggest thing we all have to learn is to work as a team. That means trusting each others choices, abilities, and motives. Without that trust, none of what we do is possible. That said, face your partners.. Your all about to get a lesson in both trust, and one of my own specialties; telepathy."

"Well this sounds fun."

She grinned at Aika. Making the poor woman uncomfortable was overly easy. Seriously, Niamh shouldn't be having this much fun, and no one should ever give her this much control over their emotions because she was going to play with them almost as much as a Zeltron would. Only thing was, she didn't have pheromones that could manipulate people's brains like Zeltrons did. No matter.

"Teach me about telepathy, Master Kawakami. It could make things fun later on!"

Matsu heard what the next step was as she looked at Nima and spoke softly projecting her thought with mindspeak. "Do you know how to speak telepathically padawan Tann?" She held raised eyebrows as she sat there and let her hands slip into her long coat while blowing a strand of hair from her face.

The instructions were pretty clear so far, Siather had some experience with telepathy but he was by no means a master of it. He could establish a connection with others and knew how to look for impressions pressed towards him as well as how to push his own into the connection. Actually delving into another’s mind fully was not anything he had ever attempted, this would certainly be interesting. He turned his attention to his partner facing him as directed mostly to make it more familiar for the other man, in reality for the Gand there wasn’t really an orientation forward. As an insectoid species with a compound eye structure he could see as well behind himself as he could in front for orientation only affected which direction he walked comfortably or engaged someone in hand to hand combat.

Opening his own mind up the Gand kept some parts of his mind closed off instinctually it was a pretty big taboo in his culture to overshare details with outsiders and opening up as much as he was, though it may not be construed as such, was actually him demonstrating a great deal of trust. His fellow padawan would not learn anything if they did not have the benefit of unrestricted access to parts of Siather’s mind. At the same time he reached telepathically towards the other man, he didn’t push he waited for the other padawan to essentially complete the mental handshake.

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
"I am Padawan Nima and my stepfather was a Silver Jedi too before he... he died. I am trying to make him proud." she smiled sincerely, she was starting to feel relaxed near to her. Her tone was very familiar, giving her confidence and happiness. "Actually I have some... umm nevermind." she said as she heard Master Kawakami's voice again. It was a bad idea, telling her about her worries for Knight Harrison. But she thought that she could understand anyway, because she was a master before. "I don't know anything about speaking telephatically, but I am excited to learn with you... uhh... Master Ike."

Matsu offered a smile to that and it was warm, Nima was so nervous? Unsure? She wasn't certain it seemed like she had questions on the edge of her tongue and wanted to speak or learn more but couldn't or wouldn't. "I have not been called Master Ike for a long time, most just call me Matsu and it is a strange feeling." Now how to work on the lesson and telepathy was decent enough she had been practicing projective and receptive techniques. "For telepathy there is two forms, projective where you send out your thoughts and receptive where you can hear the others around you. Both should be used to make conversations easier. Try projecting your thoughts outwards."

((OOC: Yay! Life kicked me a little! Sorry for the long response time!))

In. Out. In. Out... Just keep breathing.. Relax, and...go..

"Okay! Telepathy is easier than most think. Though, for some, such abilities is naturally be more powerful. It can be broken down into two parts. The first, is when you project your thoughts out, ultimately letting others hear them. Now, while this can be forced, that is never a route we want to take. So, one partner will relax, clear your mind and relax. It will feel like something prodding at your mind, at first. Don't push back against. Don't resist it.If you keep your mind clear, and at ease, you'll be able to hear your partner. The person, needs to project your thoughts. I found, it's most easy if you close your eyes, and imagine you and your partner are close. So close that..." Aika gulped silently as her eyes continued to linger on Nima. "...that even a whisper would seem like a loud scream. So..everyone decide who will go first and give it a try.."

A heavy exhale slipped from her lips as she bit her lip in nervous fashion. "Ah...Nima.. You can try first.."

She must be nuts...either that or this is a dream..

You mean like this then? I did it earlier. Been good at this for a long time!

She couldn't help but grin to herself. Of course she knew she was kind of being a little bit mean to the woman. Torturing her was a bit fun, though. Niamh had been comfortable with her sexuality for ages, and didn't really care who knew. She was flamboyant and out there. She told it how it was, too. Truth be told, she just liked to have fun and be a good guy. It was easier to do that when the other person was good looking.

I've been admiring you, you know? You're a beautiful woman, and I like beautiful women. Why do you get so nervous and flustered? Are you afraid you might like the attention?

Of course she was projecting her voice only to Aika. This wasn't a topic for public conversation.

Akaito was running as fast as he could without dropping his treasure as a cook was chasing after him and yelling his name. He made a lot of turns, but she was keeping up for the most part. Akaito was hungry and a growing boy so he had stolen some food from the kitchen and was now trying to keep it, but one lady didn't want him to and rightfully so as this was his sixth time this week he had stolen from the kitchen. He kept running and laughing and then saw a group of people and one lady he knew kinda. He bolted to her and hid behind her. "Aika, hide me and we will split the loot together." It was quite apparent Akaito had grown up with a smuggler named [member="Hawk Solo"] as he had the natural charm and acted much like a charming pirate.
