He might still have gaps in his understanding of the Jedi Path, but he got what Arenais was saying, which elicited a two-note, low tone laugh, even if he didn't know which
one the master spoke of. You didn't spend eight years in and out of the underbelly of the galaxy, becoming a fixture in the grimiest locales, and come out without a keen grasp of
humour. Sid returned the grin, sharp canines and all, received the plate from
Caedyn Arenais, grunting
"Thanks," and wasted no time proceeding to stuff his face... while keeping an eye out for any
trouble.
That was another thing life in the hotbeds of crime did: instilled a healthy, sometimes situational paranoia. He ate faster, out of concern for the potential future of
wet food, but not too much concern. He ate raw and as fresh as possible as often as he could get, hunting being the way of it, but integrating into a new pack had so many facets and sharing food was one of them. It was always a key component; so many cultures gathered around food, and he
liked that.
"Good burgers," he said, licking his clawed fingers, but keeping an eye on the scene - watching
Kyra Perl
and all at play, he wouldn't have been able to tell just how much each of them might have been through, but he had already been armoured and packing heat by the same age. For the most part, you couldn't read a book by its cover, but peel that back and the scars told tales,
"they would do well in grav-ball."
A little off the wall, not even a suggestion. Just commentary on their sheer energy, and the athleticism of some of them, as Force sensitivity was considered an unfair advantage in virtually every league. He recalled a female high-school league player, who was an up-and-coming young star a number of years ago, until she was found out to be endowed with the Force... the final straw on top of her overly aggressive play style that had her ejected from the Corellian all-star team, and stripped of scholarships. It had been all over the HoloNet Sports news, a blow for any university that might've had her. He had watched a lot of grav-ball in the downtime between bounties. Drinking himself to sleep wasn't his style.
"Them," he clarified, gesturing out to the other padawans. "There..." Sid looked back towards the Knight,
"...isn't an inter-Order sports league, is there?"
Well, it made sense to
him for there to be one
. Did Jedi play sports? Why
not? Good teamwork, good workout!
