Since Everbody's on the topic......

So since rules, and PG-13 and what not is being discussed I thought I'd bring this up now too. Crossover RP'S and characters. It's in the rules don't do it. (Link For The Lazy) http://starwarsrp.net/page/articles.html/_/role-play-rules/role-play-rules-r26

So we've had a king of cameo's, I think three? Harley Quinn characters, One Robin, One batman character and my question is this. Isn't that a breach of the rules? I mean we've got the equivalent of Arkham Asylum chillin' on Coruscant with the name Valorum's house for the criminally insane or some such. Isn't that against rules based on "Cross-over Roleplays are not allowed" Rule 2 I believe. I just thought since rules were being brought up that this should be examined again. Fair for everyone yes?

BTW I'm going back to the way I wrote before getting pegged. There's a story and I'm going to fade to black...

It is.

We have sent notices to writers in the past to change their names and stories. Using the images itself is not a breach of the rules, but if there are any which you feel are direct crossovers, then report them.

Well that Valorum place was more based on my home town Asylum then Arkham but I did incorporate a bit of it. When they just let all the inmates loose on my home city we used to joke and call them super-criminals

There's a difference between blatantly including characters from different settings and lore to interact with the characters on the board and using other media for inspiration. For example if the Asylum was called Arkham set in Gotham City on Coruscant, the Warden would have the same name as he did in DC universe, Joker, Bane, Diddler, all the other guys were in there, then that would be too much, but same as with Jack, since things are changed, including their background, to fit with Chaos and Star Wars canon, then it's fine. They are walking a fine line, sure, but they are still characters from our own setting that just happen to be influenced by that media from other lore in order to portray them better.

And please, since you're bringing up that rule-related discussion again, can you stop saying "pegged"? All things considered, your part in that discussion included, that and the imagery with it is still making me uncomfortable :p

Looks at Pre-Codex word document for planet. Silently begins extreme checkover. To make sure there is a minimal amount of LOTR references.

His jimmies are rustled and I don't think we can ever fix them.
