The Sith-Imperial Courier is a small light freighter built around an archaic design that was the workhouse of the ancient Sith Empire. At 28 meters length, the courier is intended to be a high mobile transport for a select group of individuals or light cargo. Operated as a light freighter, the courier could accommodate up to 5 passengers with room for 70 tons of cargo. Operated as a transport shuttle, the passenger and cargo areas would be swapped so that the courier could accommodate up to 10 passengers -- double the capacity -- but with its cargo capacity reduced to no more than 15 tons.
Designed around speed, the courier eschewed offensive weaponry with an engine design that encourage the pilot to run rather than to fight. Operated in combat, the courier performed like a Z-95 headhunter, with its laser cannons in fixed forward firing positions on the wingtips.
