Sith Philosophy 101 (Open to anyone)

Vastatio sat at a grand, round table with many books on it. He was looking into the different forms of Sith Philosphy and the many lords and darths and their beliefs. The Sith were seen as barbaric to the Jedi, but when you delve into their thoughts and beliefs you could find more than just blood thirsty killers, but brilliant minds.

It was this kind of thinking that led Vastatio, a Knight of the Sith Empire, to invite his fellow brothers and sisters, despite their ranks, to come and discuss their beliefs and beliefs of the Sith before them. By doing this they would better understand each other, but also better understand what it was to be Sith, but not just Sith in stone, but Sith by heart.

Booooriiing. Asajj had first said when seeing the session available, and immediately dismissed it. Sith Philosophy? What was there to know? She just wanted to cause chaos and become powerful, not read fairy tales and study books. However, upon a second glance, she noticed the name of the person holding the session. Vastatio... It seemed familiar, yet she had never really encountered many Sith outside of the Assassins so it was hard to tell. Against her better judgement she looked into it more and found the title; Darth Valdra.

"Oooh!" Now she knew him. Well, less knew him and more heard of him. His real name was Hakor... or Hakori... she didn't remember, but he was once friends with her mother before she was a Sith, and before her death. In an effort to learn more about her mother she had always wanted to meet the people she knew, and in this occasion even if it meant sitting through a lesson about philosophy.

And so Asajj found herself the first to arrive, if anyone else were even coming. "This where the lesson is?" She asked, looking to the white-haired man by the table, a few seconds of her attention diverting to the books.

I hope he doesn't read them all... A quick thought to herself, but she kept quiet for the good of meeting the man.

T'zanith had spent his time either training his martial skills, force skills or delving into alchemy, sorcery and sith knowledge and lore. When he saw that there would a lesson on actual philosophy rather than simply some lord teaching his view of how a sith should be, piqued his interest.
'Who is this Vastatio?' He thought as he walked towards the room only grow a little amused as he saw his mentor as the teacher, though he was a little puzzled over his name change but it was his choice after all. Entering the room he looked towards the first arrival to the lesson, [member="Asajj"] if he had heard right, an attractive but unhinged acolyte according to her peers at least. He moved his head to show he acknowledged her at least before he moved to sit on one of the chair's against the table. "So Lord Vastatio what will be the focus of this lesson?" He then said with a smile as he leaned back into his chair and felt a little relived to get a small rest after his training with Darth Ferus earlier that day.

"Lord Sabastian, my name is no longer Hakora or Valdra, the Dark Lord has renamed me and given me new purpose, but this is a story for another time." He said speaking to his apprentice as he entered. Sabastian looked at the blue skinned girl who entered and nodded to being asked if this was the room. He looked at her and saw nothing that was familiar so he did not react to her appearance.

He then took a book from the table and opened it, searching for a page. "Let's begin with the beginning of the Sith, anyone know anything about the first Sith?"

Vengeance had slipped into the back of the room just before the question was posed. Originally he had been curious about the subject matter. That was until her actually got into the room and saw and felt exactly who it was running things.

Vengeance had to close his eyes and take a deep breath. It was neither the time nor the place to bring up the past. Simply not knowing the answer to the question he simply remained quiet.

Animus walked into the Classroom while answering.
"was it not King Adas? " Animus said noticing the classrooms attendees [member="Lord Sabastian"] among them two fellow acolytes.

Asajj had nearly fallen asleep straight away, awoken only by the semi-familiar voice of [member="Animus Malgus"]. Whether his answer was right or not she didn't know. Sith history was nowhere near her speciality, and her upbringing had been focused on Iridonian culture.

She gave a smirk to Animus, remembering their last encounter, before turning towards Sabastian to see whether his answer was correct.

Ah what was this?! From the look of things a good "conversation" had been brought up. Nulgath smirked seated at a table in the corner of the room as he heard the question clearly. The other Sith looked completely dumb founded, was a shame the Oafs did not know. If they spent more time with the mental instead of killing for "fun" then perhaphs One Sith would of been slightly different.

"was it not King Adas? "

Nulgath rolled his eyes slightly. " The Sith as a species have always been close to the Darkside. Adas was the first recorded to a historic degree, The Sith libraries hold much on the man but going before Adas there were more Sith. My studies over the years have shown me.. much." Nulgath paused slightly. " The specific answer is lost to history whether historians, like myself like it or not. But to believe King Adas was the very first Sith is sheer impudence towards the Sith culture, society and religion."

The Epicanthix cast his gaze at the bodies that filled the room as if they were children before him.

Animus walking in at first did not notice her, still drowsy from all the Medical drugs he had been taking since their last encounter Animus was half here and half in lalaland. Technically Animus was still in recovery, but her smirk was met by animus' smirk back.
In the Academy Animus did not wear the cloak or the face cloth just a traditional Apprentice robes.
He picked a seat next to her and winked looking back at the teacher to see if his response was correct. He was sure he was... He knew he would meet Adas one day too.

T'zanith smirked a little at [member="Nulgath Zardai"]'s answer and posed one of his own to the man. "Then were the Rakata not sith? They owned this galaxy and the sith as a species long before the republic of old was even thought of. King Adas was merely the sith who managed to free the sith species from the Rakata after decades if not centuries of slavery. They also used the dark side of the force almost exclusively in their efforts and managed to blend the force with technology. In My eyes they were the first sith or is the question simply on the sith teachings [member="Lord Sabastian"] and not the beings we could classify as sith? For if that is the case my answer is still the same as the Views of the ancient rakata were very similar to sith in only one exception which was instead of converting force sensitives they killed them so no one would threaten their power and those they didn't kill they converted into force hounds, slaves given only a taste of their powers to do their bidding." He then answered as he looked around for those around him, A sith should know all thinks that could help him gain more power and what was a better gateway to power than history as through that one could possibly get to a place of power or a tome of knowledge which could be used.

Animus listened to @T'zanith Zebron but as soon as he finished Animus cut him off "But The Holocron of Adas was what lead to the Dark Jedi Exiles to found the Sith order we know today, anything prior to King Adas is Lost, he made sure that we could continue his teachings, so Technically the first Sith was not Adas, but the Founder of bases the Sith Order we know today was King Adas. "
Animus was very passionate about sith history, Especially that of King Adas. He had the notion.. That the Ancient King knew things we could not imagine, Techniques lost to time. Animus wanted more than anything else to Find the Holocron of Adas, and bring it here to the Academy where it belongs... Some day Animus mused...

Had been in the room quietly with the others for now the black masked figure listening quietly at first.

"I suppose it depends the first sith being what? The first Sith we we think of Sith or first one to be noted as using the Dark side of the force? The first to adapt an idealology?" She asked. "My own people have known of the Dark Side long ago do you think our gods of the Force came just from the light? Ashla and Bogan each represented the two sides. Going back Followers of Bogan were just as much practitioners of use of the Dark Side as the Sith back on Korriban. The differences being the Sith seemed to exceed them fast and are where we all draw our original identity as an organization or am I wrong?" She asked the last part. The one strange thing about living always knowing of the force meant one had an odd outlook comparatively on how one looked at people. To her the Sith were strange and yet felt almost like an odd kin. People who grew up knowing the force much as her people did. perhaps to some her questions would be annoying the point of them however was to ask ok first sith? Well how did one define a first sith.

As the Acolytes talked and discussed about ancient sith history Nulgath continued to read past several pages in his book on Sith Illusions and Magic. Without looking up he spoke again. " Like I said... the exact answer is lost to history. Debating whether the chickens or the Egg came first will go no where. If you Acolytes spent more time training your mind over your blade you would know this... BUT you dont and thus this is part of the cause the Jedi and orders of the like do not respect the Sith as an enemy." The epicanthix looked up at them as he spoke rather harshly.

A small glint of pleasure shined in Nulgaths green eyes as he ended his judgement on this SIth before him. He would not repeat himself. Glancing briefly at @T'zanith Zebron, Nulgath shook his head at the man. In his mind all of the words spoken were a mere repeat of what Nulgath stated previously but with more specific names. This was the reason Nulgath did not respond back and continued to study instead of argue over a game of who.

"I did not specify the beginning, it is open for interruption." He then sat back and fell silent for a while listening to his fellow Sith. They all had a different thought of the beginning. As he listened he saw Vengence enter and his thoughts turned to what he had done to the student when he was younger. When he was younger he had a theory that if you gave a new student someone to hate they would work harder to become stronger. Age and wisdom had thought him this was a foolish idea, but an apology would never be given, not from a Sith.

He turned his attention to his own student who spoke of the Rakata which he assumed he was referring to the Infinite Empire. He nodded in agreement at the assumption that they were the first. Then a few new people, one being the Acolyte Sabastian was putting through trail to become his second apprentice spoke about King Adas. Another good point made.

"Quite frankly I am more knowledgeable about the Old Republic Era, but your words speak wisdom and a great starting point. Let's dive deeper into their beliefs, their philosophy. Why? Our strongest power is our mind and to grow and cultivate or minds along with our powers with make us true warriors."

His attention was then sharply taken away from the lively discussion by the Sith Knight present. He could respect a man who had spent time studying a vast subject as this and being passionate about it, but berating the Acolytes present he would not stand for. "His eyes turned towards the Knight before him and his voice became void of emotion and cold as a grave, "You are welcome to your thoughts and opinions, but with all due respect if you berate anyone else here again I will come over there and I will personally feed you your heart, do I make myself clear?" Lord Sebastian's eyes were an icy blue that could pierce any soul and whispered the the pain he would give anyone who made this discussion an opportunity to belittle any idea.

Nulgath sighed and shook his head. The Old republic era of "Sith" he referred to where the Dark Jedi seeking greater power. It was true Dark Jedi were the original sith but the Epicanthix found it funny [member="Lord Sabastian"] did not refer to specific time in his original question. Returning at stare back at the former Sith Lord as he made his rather brooding threat, Nulgath did his best to maintain a "poker face" but his mouth cracked the slightest grin as his mind thought about the threat word by word. Letting a short amount of time pass Nulgath titled his head.

" Lord Sabastian, Your collective knowledge and known reputation are a sheer delightful waste. I enjoy you in your own right. For someone so equivocal. You are quite the awe-inspiring individual when not being a steward of sorts." A sinister smile grew as Nulgaths comment and opinion of Sabastian escaped his mouth. The Epicanthix took a sort breath in and covered his mouth in a jeering fashion. The former Lord's remark and threat were not taken illy but was perceived into something so minuscule a direct threat was not needed.

The right side of Sabasyain's lip curled ever so slightly like a whisper of an action. As the Knight continue his attempt to flower his words the curl grew in a smirk. Many titles and brown nosing words have been used to describe Sabastain and his deeds. Today, however, he was nothing more than a teacher and partaker of wisdom.

As the Knight finished a sound so faint that one might almost miss it began to emanate from the shadows behind Nulgath. The sound not only grew in volume, but also numbers of points of origin. The sound was comparable to a rattle of a baby, but this rattling sound was no human or even living being in the traditional sense Still one with the shadows and unrevealing of the source the rattling continued.

It served as a warning, a warning that Lord Sabastian's threats were not hollow and to keep things on track he would execute his threat on the Knight. His cold, determined stare did not let up, but his eyes did pose a question. A question that was this Knight going to continue to be a problem or start acting like the teacher he was there to be?

With a snap of his fingers, sending a small electric charge around his fingers, T'zanith made Force Lightning erupt from the ground between [member="Lord Sabastian"] and [member="Nulgath Zardai"], it was a sith barrage something he hadn't seen anyone among the sith order do since his arrival to the temple, it was something of an "enough!" gesture. "My lords please let's keep on track at the task at hand this is a class after all." He then moved his face to look at Nulgath. "My lord you are entitled to your own opinions but if your not going to be a constructive influence I won't even try to stop Lord Sebastian from doing anything to you, in fact I just might help him." He paused to let his words sink in a little before he continued. "WE are here to learn and cultivate our minds, that however is hard when there are individuals like you who immediately belittle us for our knowledge and tell us to do exactly what we are here for and then don't even try to help. This my lord show a minute mind trying to make everyone around him think he or she is smarter than everyone else while in fact they are simply being a schlepper. Now I doubt that you are such a person so I suggest either participate in the discussion like a rational being, leave or simply hold your tongue." He spoke in a calm and collected tone and didn't belay any unnecessary emotion before he turned to look over the group and then smiled as he breathed in and breathed out, after all they had better things to do than to listen to than the measuring competition between two lords. "So then where were we?" He then said in a friendly manner with a smile to the other acolytes.

Watching the Blast @T'zanith Zebron Emitted between the two Knights who were Teaching the class and raised his eyebrow. Animus whispered to [member="Asajj"] Who sat beside him "Not even class can go by without someone trying to rip eachothers throat out "

Animus bit his lower lip before settling back in his seat stretching. he was not planning to interfere. Is the Sith Knights wanted to kill each other, Animus thought it a great chance to witness these Masters Abilities.

Vengeance sat back watching the display with crossed arms and a bit of an unamused look on his face. He had been around a half dozen or so Sith since he had first arrived at the academy and this is the first time he had ever seen such a despicable stick measuring contest. Even worse there was nothing to gain in this instance by having the bigger stick. If however somebody had asked him if he was surprised he would of course have to say no.

While he would never say it out loud Lord Sabastian after all had pretty much tried to kill him once for nothing more than doing a little saber practice. Vengeance shook his head even more when T'zanith performed his little light show. It seems everyone had lost their ever loving minds.
