Skill of a Master

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Kha'ro sees that his master is mirroring him and listens to her words. He feels his feet swiped by the parasol and he falls, grabbing the branch he was nearest to. Hmm, yes! He gets an idea. He lets out a grunt of effort as he focuses on his arms - using his strength and the force - to pull up on top of the branch. He focuses on his masters movements, and tries to jump off of the parasol when she tried to use it to hinder him.

"Up and away!"

he yells, giving himself a burst of determination. He tries to slow his fall with the force, but only manages for a few seconds before dropping to a lower branch. Chances are, his master would be right there to meet him, but if not he would drop and make a soft landing, rolling over.

She stayed at it and was focused, watching him use her parasol to jump higher while she accelerated and kicked off with the force energies to let herself move after and follow but also around. More skill in moving with the force before she was letting the force energies come out and waited for him ont he lower branch with a nod of her head behind him as she moved to tap him on the shoulder with it before she offered raised eyebrows. "Impressive, now keep it up." She didn't want him to use all of his energy but being able to preform and use the force for complicated and careful movements over just jumping around randomly like many of the others would.

Kha'ro took a moment to memorize his environment. Alright... he steps forwards off of the branch and spins as fast as he can, grabbing on. He uses the momentum he has going so he can swing to a lower branch, before quickly scrambling up the tree to a higher one. No doubt his master would be there to meet him too.

She stayed with him while throughout and across the planet there was the works being done, most of it to set up and make them some of the better places when she was moving and keeping up with her padawan giving it a better look with a bow of her head still holding the parasol in one hand over having to deal with all of her sabers getting in the way. He was moving carefully and fast but still in the tree which meant there was only so many places he could go and all she had to do was moving around to stay within view of it. "You are doing well, not alternate and use more of the environment to your advantage with the force and with your own skills." She moved remaining on the one branch.

Kha'ro thought about his masters words. Alright. He jumps away from the tree, kicking it to give himself more momentum. Checking back to see if his master was on his tail, he would focus on the pieces of branches he cut earlier. If Matsu was behind him, he would telekinetically use the half-branches as stepping stones.

"One, two, three, four!"

he thinks out loud as he steps on the now floating branches (which drop as he steps on them). He jumps down, trying to reach the open space Matsu had cleared for him earlier. From there, he could scan his options. Of course, Matsu could find a way to intercept him on his branches, stopping him from reaching his destination in the first place. Well, there was no harm in trying!

Matsu watched him with a look on her face while he was going and she had a small grin a small one to herself holding the parasol while she twisted the handle ready for anthing while she was moving from the branch to watch her padawan as he let himself go and move around the cleared area. She didn't need to catch up with him but she was moving around with some purpose staying on the perimeter with a nod of her head before she was moving with some attention to the better details. "Now lets see how you can do, use everything and come at me." Matsu was ready for it and had her sabers but she could use the beskar blade hidden in the parasols sheat to better effect with a small grin.

Kha'ro, breathing heavily after how much effort that took, turns to look at his master and nods. Alright, here we go. He grabbed both his sabers and entered his saber style. His eyes darted around his master, looking for somewhere to strike. He charges, throwing one saber past [member="Matsu Ike"] and attacking with the other. He feints a horizontal swing at his masters torso before spinning around and aiming for a low swipe. His other saber would then loop around and return to him. He was aiming for it to surprise Matsu, as it was coming from behind.

She watched him as he was coming at her tossing a saber behind her while she brought the beskar blade out of the sheath. The force empowered parasol providing a second blade for defense while she was moving with it to defend and protect herself from the low swipe and had the blade sheath behind her back with a nod of her head. "Good." She kept with it and pushed off while the beskar blade was smaller and more focused at a medium length between a katana and tanto before she was moving over to give some of her attention to the bigger things. Namely as she slashed with the sword twisting it so the blade wouldn't cut him but he could still block it and wouldn't slice the beskar easily.

Kha'ro is not surprised that his master was able to easily parry his attacks. He grabs both sabers tightly as he takes a jump backwards. He almost immediately leaps forwards once again, aiming with both sabers for a dual attack. He leaps into the air with the force and comes down aiming one saber towards the right shoulder of Matsu. As he falls, he swings his other saber from the other side, aiming for a diagonal slash.

Matsu stayed in tune and movement as she watched her padawan, the moments and perception going across her mind but her face remained neutral not displaying anything. Eyes flicking to watch his movements with the force slowing down her perceptions that would allow her to watch in slower motion his strikes coming at her when se moved one hand with the blade to block and kick off witht he force energies behind her before the other one was moving her parasol to block and defend her arm and shoulder to block. "You are doing better, keep it up." Her eyes watched him when her voice came out neutral. She moved quickly with her speed to slash at her padawan while she swiped with the parasol.

Kha'ro rolls backwards, dodging his masters slice by centimeters. He focuses for a second, then charges! He swings, slower than before, horizontally, as he is tiring. Realizing this, he lets out a loud,

"Kiah!

Shouting out loud gives far more determination than you would think, and he spins around, swinging diagonally with his other saber.

She was watching him and prepared, well less for his shout and more for his strikes while holding the parasol in one hand and the beskar sword in the other. The jedi master could easily make it work but this wasn't a lesson in where he was failing this was to see his skills and abilities instead. She remained where she was planting her feet and looking up at him prepared to block when she brought her blade up to block the slicing blade while her parasol swinging around to defend against the one coming from the side with herself standing there to hold him back while the muscles tensed a little. "Does the shouting help you padawa?"

Kha'ro, smiles at her question. As simple as it is, it is a good one.

"Not by itself, but it feels like it should, so it does."

It wasn't exactly easy to explain. The moment of speech gave him a moment to focus and think, as well as a quick breather. Afterwards, however, he attacks again. He makes a horizontal slice with one saber. It would be easy to block, and he would use the force of his master pushing against it to spin, slicing with both sabers. He knew he was low in strength compared to his master, so why not use her own against her?

She was staying with him at attention and focused on the force energies before she moved with her attention to his blades. Rolling back a little to dodge his blade and kick along the ground with the force energies to trip up her padawan as he was proving effective to the moment and works being done. "You are doing well but remember to think more on your feet and see what skills you can use in the duels."

Kha'ro thinks about how to do what his Master recommended. Hmm... He shuts his eyes. It takes him a moment, but he feels around him with the force. Similar to, but not quite as refined as, a Miraluka. He opens his eyes, having thought of and memorized his area and leaps forwards. He looks like he is going to swing with both sabers, but instead lands on one foot and spins, swinging his foot for a kick. He had learned some basics of unarmed combat before, and figured it could help.

Immediately after his kick, as long as it was not grabbed, he would throw his saber upwards and slice at Matsu. The other saber would come down and aim for a slice down her back. If his foot was grabbed, he would let himself go upside down and swing with both sabers at Matsu's legs.

Matsu stayed with her padawan as he was getting a better view and she moved, disengaging and going to the side while she raised an eyebrow. Attacking didn't always need to come directly and she knew a few tricks when it came to getting the surprise on others as she spoke. "Enough." Remaining there while the sounds of construction continued around them the jedi master clasped her hands behind her back returnign the blade into the parasol with a bow. "You have been learning and that is good." Matsu remained ready and strong before tasking a few more droids and holding up her hand. "There is a surprise for you, after you go and get cleaned up."

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Kha'ro backs off and settles down, very winded at this point. So the 'surprise' was coming. He nods while his master speaks and does as she asked. He noted a few bruises forming, though not many. A sign that he could make more controlled and precise movements. When ready, he would see what it was his master was talking about.

Matsu looked at the boy with a small grin on her face motioning him over while she was watching it and the construction efforts were going well for them as she could see some fo the facilities being loaded up. Prefabricated walls and sections they could start filling in with converters and droids to produce was an important step in the major process. Matsu herself was leading the way while she went over it and there were others working on the walls of the academy with a bow of her head. "You are doing well and it is almost time for something." Sticking with it before she stopped in a small section watching the construction efforts and there were workers showing the mesh robes they were wearing to test out the mesh itself.

(Sorry for not posting. I lost internet for a week)

Kha'ro does not ask what that 'something' is. May as well let secrets be secrets. Noticing his master had stopped, so did he. He took a look ahead. Seemed like construction was running smoothly. The workers were wearing a mesh, Kha'ro noted. Seemed like they were testing it? Either way, they were working well, it seemed.

Matsu watched him with a nod of her head while they were continuing to go through the area showing the testing as well as the construction efforts of the temples or reconstruction efforts as it was for them while the jedi master led the way into the area between the facilities with a small look on her face while the testing and training was going on. "You have done a lot of hard work and learned a great deal. I am proud to be your master padawan and there might be a surprise or two for you in the future."
