The Shadow
Plot ideas to hash out;
1) thought about an interesting concept where a jedi was captured by the Dark Empire, and after a session of torture or two by the Sith they implanted false information into said jedi’s mind. But to essentially cover their actions, Rath was tasked to secretly break the jedi out of prison and help him/her escape without revealing the truth behind it. Yes it’s taking a quest thing from the Old Republic game, but figured it could be a reenactment or maybe even write how it’d gone differently for the character. The captive doesn’t have to be a jedi per say as it could be anyone really.
2) during one of Rath’s trips to Tython, he had unknowingly at the time got latched by a force ghost who serves as something of a moral compass, and consequently seems to be teaming up with Rath’s former beloved who also tries to convince him to abandon the dark arts. I’m thinking that the force ghost could be someone’s distant relative and essentially requests Rath to recover the ghost’s desecrated bones and return them to the current living descendant for a proper burial. He’d reluctantly agree with this, and it wouldn’t be a fight or anything involved unless you wanted it to be.
3) Rath gets tasked as the Dark Elite to infiltrate and capture a noble of [insert opposing faction name] or even a neutral noble. The reason behind it could be simply that the noble had been openly opposing the Dark Empire and had gained substantial ground amongst the masses, which could prompt the Elite to shatter that trust by capturing the source of their hope. Naturally, aside from the noble themselves and their own armaments, this could be opposed by Jedi or whoever happens to be in the area to prevent the capture.
Lastly, though this is just my personal thing, eventually Rath intends to construct a lightsaber using the crystal that used to be his former lover’s, but as it is Light aligned i’m thinking that Rath might have to do so in secret or else he’d draw the attention from the others in the Dark Empire. This could be that people (Sith) suspect that Rath might be turning against the Empire, and maybe plot to remove Rath from the picture so to speak. It wouldn’t be the first time that a Sith has tried to claim his life or banish him, but it most certainly wouldn’t be the last time either. Could end up as a duel, but it’d definitely be a pivotal point for his growth as a character.
If any of these interests you, let me know or if you have questions I'm always happy to hash things out. Ultimately I am wanting to give Rath a proper redemption arc that'd be a slow, gradual process as he's already had a failed redemption arc in the past.
