"Suit yourself," sighed Saram in response over the comms before switching over to the frequency she and Rav were connected on. "Galaar 1-1, Davaab 6, we tried. Tra'cyar mav!"

"Elek, engaging," chimed back Rav. The two Tra'beviin-Is appeared on her HUD for mere moments before they streaked seemingly unerringly toward their target. Rav followed that up with a torrent of ion-sheathed ion detonator rounds from the gunship's two fore quad AC-04X turrets.

Saram waited for effect on target, stowing her rifle and preparing to depart her perch to make entry onto the ship herself. If he wasn't going to come out and cooperate, she was going to have to go in and get him herself.

This had the added bonus of allowing her to be able to potentially free some of the prisoners they'd already taken. She doubted they'd part with them without a sight, but given the others had been thinning the numbers of those outside, she doubted too many had made it back to the ship. Probably a good idea to play it safe on board as well, she very much doubted the vessel was even close to factory spec, that only made things more interesting.

Detonations nearly threw Dash from the pilot's chair as the ship rocked and rattled.
"...WHAT in the hell was that?!" he leaned over the consoles flaring like a Life Day tree. "Chit, R3, one of the engines is out! Shields and power is quickly depleting--"

"Boowweep."

"Yeah, go check that reactor, stat." the scoundrel said, "I'm getting us outta here. Mando's gotta figure it out by himself." he jumped from his seat, locked the doors to the bridge and returned to helm. The Corellian had been around the galaxy long enough to distinguish between pirates and military naval armaments. This was the latter.

<<You're screwing up an Alliance Marshal's operation here, friendo!>> Dash called out through the comms, the sealed doors keeping his voice from reaching the ears of any of Sakko's goons that may still have been aboard. He yanked back the helm and the ship shuddered as its repulsors flared to a sorry state of life, lifting the Gozanti from the surface. The smuggler fought the cruiser's damages, trying to get altitude quicker and directing its bow skyward.

The Gozanti floundered in the air like a bantha hit by an electro-prod as it slowly began its vertical ascent.

<<You're screwing up an Alliance Marshal's operation here, friendo!>> Dash called out through the comms, the sealed doors keeping his voice from reaching the ears of any of Sakko's goons that may still have been aboard.

Saram bit back a few choice words. An Alliance Marshall on an undercover operation. Just her shabla luck. Provided he was telling the truth of course. Tone wasn't enough to be able to tell for sure. If he was, then torpedoing his operation was going to have the opposite effect of what they'd hoped to have done, which was make nice with the Alliance.

"There's just one simple solution to all this, Marshall. I come aboard and solve this little problem for you, and you tell your bosses who did it," she said as she made a quick assessment of the distance between his ship and the traffic control tower. Even given his slow rate of ascent, she didn't have too much more time. Taking a breath, she ran the short length of the building's roof and with a armor enhanced jump, she leapt into the air on invisible wings of fire.

Her rocket-repulsor pack allowed her to cross the distance with no issues. Landing was somewhat more troublesome. The moment her boots hit hull, she reversed the repulsors in her boot soles, adhering her to the ship's hull. Satisfied that she was secure, she retrieved her rifle from her armor's mag strip and began making her way to the nearest external access, her combat boots' magnetic function helping keep her adhered to the hull.

"What have you got to lose, Marshall?" she asked as she finally managed to find a hatch, waiting for a response before deciding if she was going to ask him open the hatch she was at or failing that, open it herself.

<<Solve this little problem?!>> Dash retorted, sweat pouring down his temples from the pain in his leg and the toil to tame the damaged cruiser. <<Yeah, I'll go ahead and tell Coruscant months of resources for a sting op to pin down Sakko's slave ring in the Core has gone down the drain cause some trigger-happy loon went gung-ho!>>

He paused for a moment, letting the silence weigh down between them as his eyes danced across the dreadful readings on the consoles before him. Either R3 or his Corellian luck was keeping the ship afloat. Only barely. If they could make it to space, survive long enough to get out of the planet's gravity well, he'd be praying the relativistic shield was still intact to make the jump. Dash could only buy time and pray.

<<Do what you gotta do, pal.>> the Corellian added, leaving the weight of the choice on his mysterious saviour-turned-problem's shoulders.

The damaged cruiser continued climbing altitude as lethargically as ever, its damaged engines struggling against the planet's gravity.

"I understand that you're frustrated, Marshal," said Saram with every ounce of patience she could muster, putting on her best customer service voice, as she waited for her armor's anti-security blades to open the locks on the external hatch. "I think we got off on the wrong foot. Tell me how I can help you fix this." Though she did save his life, she did also nail him with shrapnel. In her defense, she had no way of knowing he was an undercover shabla marshal.

Thankfully, the hatch unlocked at this juncture. Saram fired off a quick message to Ran, her 2IC, to mop up anyone left and then wait till Alliance reinforcements arrived. Without checking for his response, she entered the ship. Though alone, she was confident about her abilities to handle the Cartel forces aboard the vessel.

Her armor's camouflage and sensor spoofing systems were still very much active, but nothing would stop the alert that one of the hatches had been opened from displaying. The tight maintenance crawl space that she was in left little space to maneuver. She had to get out into the ship's hallways quickly. Unable to maneuver with her AMR-4M in these tight quarters, her hands fell to where her Verpine shatter pistol was magclamped to her thigh and stayed there as she moved along at what seemed to her enhanced senses as frustratingly slow pace.

She finally reached a doorway that likely led into a maintenance room of some kind before she opened the equally frustratingly small hatch and poked her pistol through. The weapon's optic was synced to her HUD, let her see through it. So far, it seemed clear, but she very much doubted that this was going to be the case for long. Saram pulled herself through, her armor's stealth systems protesting with micro-stutters and flickers. Served her shabla right for taking this method of egress, but beggars couldn't be choosers.

For a brief moment, she did consider that this was all an elaborate trap. After all, there was no proof that he was an Alliance marshal. Then again, it wasn't her who was going to be stuck on the ship with them, they were the ones stuck on the ship with her, and she had every confidence that even outnumbered as she would be that unless they had some game changing weapon they'd been keeping in reserve, she'd more than be able to handle them.

"Frustrated is understating it..." Dash muttered in between gritted teeth as he struggled with the helm of the Gozanti; the invisible ships had ceased firing at the cruiser, but the damage had already been done. He wasn't out of the gutters yet.

A red light blinked on one of the computers, indicating a forced external entry through one of the ship's hatches. Sakko's Mando goon had been radio silent for a while now -- probably dead -- so if Dash had to guess - it was the mysterious comlink-pal slash problem. He cursed under his breath, giving himself a moment to think before grabbing the comlink again:

<<There's a maint crawl running up to the bridge. I ain't got a clue who's still on the ship but no Tradoshan or T'surr would be crawling there. If you can make it up to here unseen and unheard, maybe there's still a way to salvage this chit show.>>

<<There's a maint crawl running up to the bridge. I ain't got a clue who's still on the ship but no Tradoshan or T'surr would be crawling there. If you can make it up to here unseen and unheard, maybe there's still a way to salvage this chit show.>>

Saram looked around the room, trying to find the maintenance crawlway that the Marshal was talking about, her eyes settling on the hatch that covered the crawlway itself a moment later. More tight quarters, great. Saram gingerly opened the hatch and poked her sidearm through first. Only once she was satisfied that there were no traps that either her vision or the sensors in her weapon's HUD-linked optic could pick up, she responded to the Marshal, "Doable, Marshal, see you on the bridge."

Saram carefully but deliberately eased the hatch access open and peered inside. It was a tight fit. She'd barely be able to fit armor and all, let alone with her rifle getting in the way. Sighing silently to herself, she detached her rifle from the magstrip on her back where it was secured and shoved it through first ahead of her. She was about to pull herself in when a pang of experience derived paranoia stopped her.

She quickly raised Rav. If she was going to do something potentially di'kutla then she might as well have some kind of back up plan. Ret'lini. "Davaab 6 to Galaar 1-1. I'm going to need you to tail this ship. Quiet like, vod. Ret'lini," she said as she took another look down the maintenance crawl, not sure if she was assessing her options or psyching herself up for what she was all but convinced was the only good option.

"Why do I not like the sound of this, vod? Wait, never mind. I never like the sound of these plans, I just keep dropping you dini'la rammikade into and dragging you out of the osik every time." sighed Rav in response.

"So this time's no different from the rest, vod. Appreciate it," she replied, suppressing a laugh. With that, Saram stowed her sidearm and pulled herself into the crawl. Carefully, she paid attention to her armor's sensor suite on the way there, trying to pay attention to any signs of life around her as she made her way toward the bridge.

Once she reached the end, she reached forward and pulled the magazine from her rifle, stowing it on her person with no small amount of difficulty. She then reached forward once more and ejected the chambered round, stowing that in the now stowed magazine. With that, she used her vambrace mounted tractor-pressor beam projector to open the hatch.

Rolling over onto her back with some difficulty, she anchored the soles of her feet to the ceiling and taking hold of her rifle best as she could, lowered her cloaked head, shoulders, arms and now cloaked weapon through the hole, taking a quick look around the bridge to see what it was that she could see.
