Tegaea Alcori
Back to Square One

Tegaea found herself being hugged by Natoline. Whilst she patted the girl on the head she caught Siobhan’s look about the same time as Natoline explained without really explaining.
“Thank you, love. The interview went well, I'll tell you all about it later.”
She looked down at Nato as the girl finished. Her lips compressed slightly. If Tegaea was perfectly honest she wasn’t exactly shocked or horrified, nor was she especially concerned. All of their adopted daughters had started closer to Siobhan, and though she’d gotten to know Aba and Galina much more she’d not had much chance with Natoline. Thus, rather than a daughter, it felt like a niece or cousin was before her rather than a daughter.
“I see,” she commented. “Whilst I am happy to see you again, you don’t think you could have somewhat softened the blow by calling ahead?”
Yet, Tegaea was interested enough on general principle to want to know more.
“Please sit, tell me everything, Nato,” she suggested, moving to a couch. She glanced, puzzled at the Fyor-bot on the sofa. “Well I’m guessing he’s not the father, hmm?” she asked in amusement.
She was always a bit suspicious of HRDs though, and peered at it to make sure it was indeed offline and not a kill-bot.
