Agreed. There's several vitally-strategic planets that are within one hex of Coruscant, including some of the following (I'm not listing Tython, since we've already established that we'll capture that one later):Alicia Drey said:Geographically, invading Manaan, Ambria and the other worlds you've stated seems foolish from a military perspective, when Anaxes and a host of other Republic worlds are right next to Coruscant, guys.
Brentaal IV: Vital trade hub at the intersection of the Parlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way (also my character's homeworld, but that's neither here nor there)
Bilbringi: Major shipyard. Capturing this planet could easily solve our problem regarding ship production.
Empress Teta Systems: Key planet for controlling the Deep Core region.
Anaxes: Republic Fortress World. Victory here could cripple Republic forces in the Core and Deep Core regions, though it may be best to first cut off the world from the rest of the Republic, as it's heavily-defended (already discussed, but listing here as a possibility).
Rendili: HQ of Rendilli StarDrive (obviously) and Golan Arms, among other corporations. Like Bilbringi, the shipyards located here could be rather useful.
Kuat: HQ of Kuat Drive Yards (obviously). Like Bilbringi and Rendili, they have a major shipyard. However, Kuat has their own sizable self-defense fleet in addition to those of the Republic, so attacking them right now would be unwise.
