[member="Tiland Kortun"] The Jedi corner could definitely use some more love, so thanks for dropping in. Personally, I'd really like for Arisa to interact with some more Jedi/FU to continue her development. I don't expect us all to be in engaging in PvP, and I certainly don't want that for the faction, but I know the Mandos intend to keep pushing us, so we'll have to take the party to them sometime. If that's not your thing, then I totally understand. As long as we're all writing for the GR, then I'm happy.

[member="Klesta"] We can use the Free Systems Coalition (a collection of core and inner rim worlds formerly within the GR cloud) for the Azure hex. We'd have to be real careful about how we approach Roche in that event, though. We'll need to begin inserting ourselves into the current dom so we can get a nice narrative laid out for the Rebellion phase.

Well, that's what I'm here for, so you're welcome! I'd be down for some of those story threads with Arisa then. And Tiland could do PVP. He's done it before with the GA, most notably taking on a Sith Knight in single combat on the steps of the Sith Temple on Coruscant, so it's not like he can't do it. He's just not super great at it, by any means. And I've written significant PVP with Veino and Kiyron. I just don't have a lot of time for it right now.

[member="Tiland Kortun"] Awesome! I'd like to set something up, then. I see you posting in the Jedi forum, so I'll pop in there tomorrow with my Jedi alt. I'm about to call it a night now.

@Subject The Azure hex would also make a good target, because it would wipe out any gains the UMC could make into GR space. Hmmm, going to get to work on a narrative. Kashyyk itself is yielding some good material.

This is all really good osik, and I'm glad to see the tone of the conversation is a fertile one.

I'd like to see CSAF engage more with the GR beyond just being a military ally; the organization is intended to provide more non-combat roles than it does fighting ones.

[Member=Popo] I give your points due credit, for certain!

Just a suggestion, while I'm having a look round at the forum here I've noticed a thing that, personally is a major put off for me.

There is FAR too much going on.

Get rid of the IC areas. That's what the main board is for. Forcing people out of this little hole and onto the main board might actually encourage others to RP with us as they will see activity.

Archive! Seriously, so much clutter it's upsetting my OCD.

Do we need 3 separate Sub forums for the senate, armed forces and Jedi enclave? This isn't a big and busy faction anymore, might be time we minimise and make it a bit more appealing to newer members.

Just my two cents.

It is a bit busy, though it took me a second to realize that you weren't referring to the activity level so much as the organizational clutter. That was one of those "what in the hell are they...oooooh" moments.

Not a bad idea though. A good reorganization, combined with a hidden archive to hide the mounds of salt and bad feelings in old threads might do a world of good.

Plus we actually need more (or better) activity in the Senate: the Senate and the Jedi are the main two components that are important in our theme as a faction, and this is why I'm playing Klesta in the first place.

Another note: before anyone entertains the idea of further invasions, skirmishes, or pretty much anything that involves the slightest possibility of interaction with other factions, we really should get a solid count on how many writers would be up for that. And by solid count, I mean we need to know exactly who will post come hell or high water.

The best answer.

The archive is so that people, especially FUs, still have access to all of their past threads for the purposes of rank advancement.

The 3 independent sections are so those specific character types can interact without having to sift through a dozen or so threads that don't apply to them.

Lastly with recent Chaos wide rule changes if those sections are deleted we will not be able to recreate them and get them back in the future should activity rebound.

The subforums can be retained while moving the threads elsewhere or making them hidden. If someone needs something for advancement, it takes two clicks to unhide. There's a lot of stuff in there that might be useful to someone at some unspecified point, but there's also a lot of toxic mess to sort through. The GR forums have not always been a pleasant place.
