Some Ideas I have had...

So what about the military you ask?

I propose we make a forum for our Republic military types, with two sub-forums. Army and Navy respectively. We could move each groups information into their respective forums. Thus easing board navigation and giving every group their own space to operate and do their IC business at their leisure. Now on to how this would be managed you ask?

For the military I suggest we have either Delila Castillon or Iron Maiden moderate the army subforum. Of course Cabbal Noir and Akio would be over the navy Forums.

Back to the Senate, I propose we allow Ardak Serifen be the moderator for that forum. This way each branch is properly staffed, and has someone(or someones) in the case of the military looking out for them. This way channels of communication can be properly started, and we don't end up with mass confusion like we have had at times here. The Republic is a massive faction, with many ideas, and I would like to see some organization brought to it.

I apologize for the format of this, as it's just me brainstorming. Also, this way all discussions can be handled on the board instead of skype. So thoughts? Questions? Ideas?

I don't think we really need to have separate subforums for army and navy. It adds a bit of clutter and I don't think we will see either one flooded with content enough to warrant two forums with three to four mods. Know what I'm saying?

All around though, right ideas.

I think one military forum would be fine. Number of mods is up to you as to what you think is necessary to do the simple job of cleaning up threads.

Well I think clear lines of communication would help, as would diffusing responsibilities. I feel if each branch had a staffer to talk to, problems could be clearly assessed and resolved much faster.

I agree with Darron, separate branches avoids the inevitable clutter that would result from both being pushed into the same space.

Again, everyone has their own opinions. This is a public brainstorming sessions, as the skype chats are fruitless on such subjects.

I like having an Army and a Navy. I don't think it would get cluttered.... cluttered would be like 50 subforums, we should be able to navigate two more, plus it would let the Army and the Navy do their own thing and actually feel separate. Right now, I can barely tell the difference, you're all military to me and if you guys had a place where you could discuss things separately I think it could benefit all of us.

Yes, and if each has a staff member in their corner. Then there is a clear life of communication to Staff at all times, and the faction can be steered in a good direction at all times.

I like the idea of Army and Navy have separate spaces. I think it would be a great place to house a roster, resources, etc then also do some IC roleplaying to either supplement training or character backgrounds within the military.

I would also suggest @[member="Iron Maiden"] for mod, she seems to have a great like for keeping people in line in a rough manner

I agree with you Darron. Its confusing for me a new member to the Republic to find which ones are the Army and the Navy forums. I think it would be good to separate them.

Its a pretty good idea, Darron about creating military sub-forums. Except one question: why is it that Ardak Serifen (Jaxton, whatever) gets to be the moderator of the Senate forum..?

It was a suggestion, if you think you can do it and be active a lot then please volunteer yourself good man. I was brainstorming, so I shall consider that as you saying you'd like to potentially mod?

I do also like the fact the moderator would be a direct line to staff if needed. As I mentioned to you before Darron I think having a strong person watching for the best interest of each branch who can work together with others will help us out greatly.
