Some Jedi Brainstorming

So! Things have been fairly quiet around here lately, especially on the Jedi front. With much of the big stories quieted down and Chaos in a rather rare era of Star Peace. That leaves breathing room but often quieter for a lack of battles to drive people.

So in the meantime, let's tell some Jedi stories. I have an idea I can run with and get started, but what about you? What stories do you want to tell? What do you enjoy? When you're daydreaming about being a Jedi, what does it look like? Let's get ideas bouncing around so we can start telling some good stories.

Every morning I rise to a galaxy whose hate for my order is so hot that the very word "Jedi" scalds their tongues. And every night I go to bed knowing my sleep will be tainted by memories of the One Sith's sacking of Coruscant and the decade of misery that followed.

Do you know what it is to wash the blood of your friends off your hands?

Do you know what it is to do the best you can with every fiber in your being, yet still be labeled a war criminal by people who will never know what and who you've sacrificed to prevent their oppression at the hands of spiteful foes?

Heresy abounds as I watch those I called friend dabble in the dark. I watch the Silvers suffer as their fairytale begins to catch fire at the edges... and I can't but remember how they left my order to die on Coruscant.

But worst of all, the Sith have been extinguished. Their threat remains, lurking in the shadows, but every pursuit brings up cries of paranoia.

So when you ask what do I daydream, know that they are not daydreams.

They're nightmares.

To be Jedi is to endure.

Bow without breaking. Bend without snapping. And when you feel the stress fractures spiraling around your soul... then you will know.

Make the galaxy a better place by any means necessary, but lethal force only as a last resort.

Hence why I even try to go as far as have a Jedi operating a bank, well, as much as you guys would consider Cathul to be a Jedi. That, even though only Jedi in Confederate service would otherwise attempt to have Jedi run and operate a bank; Silvers, while embracing business rather readily by Jedi standards, stay away from finance and banking.

There's a conflict between Techno Union and Sith on Geonosis, including incidents like the civilians being gassed en mass and Commonwealth landing soldiers. Go be a Jedi and do something about it, bring in humanitarian aid, distress the situation. It's basically Naboo blockade incident on steroids.

[member="HK-36"] All parties involved stopped posting all of a sudden. The Sith found it no fun watching this circus of hilarious errors being played out. You want to intervene, may be best to wait a few OOC days.

You should put together a team of Jedi investigators and SIS agents to go investigate the incident on Geonosis post hoc.

That is an excellent idea! I think it would be worth doing.

These are all good responses and definitely drive some ideas that we can work with in crafting story arcs.

That sounds like an excellent plan. Not sure when I can get a thread up, but hopefully soonish. Not sure we have authority to make arrests on Geonosis however.

You could just join the existing thread, at least trying to establish contact, me and another Firemane agent are just in the now pretty much empty arena where it all went down. At least initially the whole mess was being broadcast into the holo-vision/net and I sent out a transmission to [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], if she could/would relay it to the Order that could be your in

I can offer my alt Jessica for questioning, but I'm afraid Cathul is too close to Jessica ICly; she would compromise the mission.

Beat me up? Ouch, that sounds quite painful for the rest of the NJO. I'd hate to harm such excellent individuals.

And by peons, you'd basically still just be getting... me, which you already have! Plus in the new vision I'm working on, NFUs will play a significant role- and they can't join the NJO.
