Someone to protect me

Waverly gave in to Draco’s insistence and had a seat on the bar stool. She swiveled in her seat and looked around again; the cantina was certainly starting to fill up. There were a few new arrivals, and one of them was now making his way towards the bar, but something was wrong, even she could see that. She looked up at Draco and pointed towards the man that had just fallen to the ground.

“Is he…okay?” she asked, wondering if perhaps he’d been over served tonight.

At the very least, it was turning out to be an interesting night. Though, she knew that she wouldn’t last much longer, she was starting to feel a bit tired.

Val walks into the bar with no intentions. He scans the bar quickly seeing a few distinctive characters. He doesn't mind it at all. He pulls his coat over his belt which held his blaster pistol, but he did so with ease and carelessly flashing his weapon for a moment which its metal shined from the lights while it was shown. He makes his way to the bar and takes a seat. Ordering a drink from the bartender, He sips on it for a while until it is finished. He feels eager to spark a conversation now that the alcohol is in his system. He makes way to sit next to the man who was fairly quiet. He orders another drink and begins to sip on it. He sits it down on the counter, still holding onto it, he asks the man "What brings you here buddy?"

Brax Hadshill

Val shrugs his shoulders while turning to sip his drink. He then looks at the man sitting next to him. He thinks to a minute in his head "Business? Let's see where this leads." He looks to his drink again taking a larger sip. He adjusts his belt which holds his blaster then his coat. "Is business a person? You fit the type." He says lowly trying to hint to the man if he is here to do something which will cause some type of violence. Followed up by the question he says "I'm Artis." Using his last name as a alias for his first name.

"Business may or may not be a person. Business may have been a wild goose chase."
Brax looks at his drink, then turns to Artis.
"The name's Brax. You may have heard of me, you may not have."
Ten Minutes.
"What business brings a man like you here?"
He asks, trying to kill time.

"Oh I see. It may have been." He chuckles then grabs his drink once more and finishes it off. Waiting a moment to speak as the alcohol warms his throat and chest making it hard to speak. He then speaks once the warm sensation wares off. "I'm here for whatever reason. Drink, find trouble, or a job to do." He looks around the crowd for a moment. Noticing everyone is dancing or leaving the bar. Just another average night in the bar he thinks to himself. "What do you do for a living?" He asks Brax. Not hesitant about asking more or less about the answer aswell.

Brax chuckles at Artis's blatant curiosity.
"I do business for a living. Business comes to me, tells me what it wants, and I do it."
He looked at his drink.
"Plus it doesn't hurt if you know how to use a blaster."
[member="Val Artis"]

Nods his head in agreement "That is true. A blaster does come in handy, especially with some of the line of work out there." He sits quietly for a few minutes. "If me and you are on the same page. Which I believe we are. Consider me next time you have a business proposal." He says handing the man a card with his contact information on it. After doing so he gets up and moves across the bar to take a seat in a booth. Watching the dancers for a few more minutes.

Brax takes the card and rises out of his seat, scoping out the cantina one last time.
Three minutes left to go, and still no mark. I need a better informant.
Brax turns the business card over in his hand.
Maybe I should bail before some real trouble starts.
