Something New.

Shri-Tal was a an area that Nate never suspected he'd be visiting. Though something odd drew him to this place. A certain calling, which Nate sensed to be associated from the force. Being naturally talented with the force, being born of two force sensitive individuals. Nate new enough not to turn his back to these types of callings. As it meant that a pivotal occurrence in Nate's life was about to occur. Though what it was Nate was clueless towards. So he approached it cautiously.

As soon as Nate was done here. He'd probably be heading off to Kuat, as it was the last of places in which his current temporary transport for hire, was scheduled to take him. However for now Nate was reminded to focus on the present. As he left the small freighter he was tagging along on. Moving towards one of the local populations. In search for what was drawing him.

As he arrived in the local population he noticed that it was populated mostly of his species. As he was glad for that at the very least. It meant communication would be rather easy. Though visitations were also a thing he'd need to postpone. As his eyes scanned the crowd and environment. Doing his usual calculation of any area he entered. Constantly trying to determine potential assets, and threats. Finally however Nate zoned into a certain building resembling a cantina.

From that point Nate walked into the cantina like building. Where he went about and found himself a place to sit. As now all he had to do was wait. Sometimes being in the right place was only half of the solution. So now Nate needed to wait for the right moment. In which point whatever reason Nate was drawn here, would surely become apparent to him. Nate wished he had a lightsaber, as being unarmed provided predicaments. Though Nate would make due with what force techniques he currently knew, should any threat arose that required intervention.

Shri-Tal's districts were a beautiful place, from the markets with their high buildings and roofs to the expansive garden section between them as she was walking. They had been working on the different parts while building in some of their factories. They had been working on the different sections and aspects of the weapons and armor for jedi and ranger's. Now they had more force tech constructed while she moved into the more relaxing and communal district. Where the cantina's and the other buildings were. She entered it following some of the cantina looking at the different operators. Sasori had built up some of the things there and with expansion efforts to Saotome they were seeking a stronger and larger way of doing things. All of her attention staying with some of the atrisian's in the cantina as she sat down.

Nate sat for about an hour, before finally someone entered who drew his attention. Nate peeked up and focused on the individual. Though kept his expression neutral. He took a moment, and looked around to try, and figure what that particular individual had came here to do. Seeing no immediate answer to the question. Nate slightly shrugged his shoulders and leaned back against his chair. Where he continued his observations of the Cantina, to avoid drawing any particular attention to himself. Unless of course he eventually was detected by another force sensitive user. Which quite possibly could be the individual who had walked into the place. Nate however wasn't going to paint a target on himself. Wanting things to play out in a more natural manner.

Nate checked around the cantina a final time. Before he finally stood up, and walked towards the exit. When it should happen a few slightly over drunk business partners had a disagreement, causing a chair to go flying. The chair missed it's intended target, and Nate managed to roll out of it's way before it hit him. Purely out of instincts and perhaps a mild bit of experience. However when Nate noticed the chair was on course to smash into a table where the particular lady had chose to stay. Nate had a brief adrenaline rushed calculator go off in his mind.

The first option would be Nate could drastically intervene. Making the fact he was a force sensitive known to every individual within the cantina. In turn causing himself to make allies, make enemies, and hopefully the first outweighing the second. From there he'd have to hope his allies were more useful and resourceful then the enemies in which he made. As should Nate pull off a drastic intervention it would also clearly display how much raw energy Nate's talent in the force had. Even if he had been through basic training. Nate noted he had about three feet to finish his decision making.

The second option was Nate took a more subtle intervention approach. It would prevent the whole Cantina from picking allies, enemies, or neutrality towards him. Though it would also mean that any force sensitive within the area would detect him, as if though he shot a flare gun in the air. Assuming that particular force user(s) had weapons on them. Nate doubted even with raw potential, Nate would be able to out class a trained force user with a weapon. Meaning Nate would make himself a victim of the will of the force, and either draw himself a teacher, or draw out an individual that would gladly place a few lightsaber puncture wounds in his chest, during a moment where he wasn't out in the open. Though it also meant Nate might learn the reason the force called him to this place. Nate observed approximately two feet left until the chair hit the table.

The final option was Nate did absolutely nothing leaving the fate of the woman to her own devices. If a force user hadn't already detected Nate. He could walk out of the area unnoticed. Letting whatever ensuing chaos arose take it's own course. The downside would be Nate certainly would never know why he was drawn here. Therefore he'd be left with a forever nagging wonder as to what was supposed to occur on Shri-Tal. Nate almost couldn't even stand the thought of that idea. So... with a foot of distance between the table and the chair, which had only begun it's descent, Nate had made his choice.

Nate focused and drew upon the force. Where he reached out towards the chair, and gave it a gentle nudge. Only adding enough inertia to keep the chair moving past the table. Where Nate then gave a second gentle touch. To drop it towards the ground. Choosing the more subtle use of the force this time. So at least whoever that woman was could spend her time, without dealing with the mess of a chair plowing into the table beside her. Causing who knows how many potentially bad outcomes.

From there Nate stood completely up. His facial expression remaining neutral the whole time. As he turned and headed out of the Cantina. Back into the streets of the town. As he hoped that his decision drew the right sorts of attention, and not an untimely demise for himself. As he just started to head out into the crowd of people.

Matsu felt something and looked up as one of the people she worked with brought a cup to her. She could sense something there in the cantina while taking the cup and then there was a commotion. The force whispering and bringing her head up but she had her eyes closed inhaling the scent of the tea in the cup. THey didn't often make tea but with the number of atrisian's on the planet it was a very popular thing... So get her the good stuff when something was coming at her and the jedi master remained still. Force energy tensing her body under the robe to prepare for an attack but something stopped the chair as it went silent inside. Most knew who not to get on the wrong side of the Sasori made most of the products that had helped revitalize the city after the netherworld rifts opened, they were deeply respected on the world as friends and allies... Also helped that they had been making the honey comb of tunnels below the surface of the world safer for travel like in the ancient times by rebuilding them. Now she sipped the tea opening her eyes and turning towards the one who had stopped it motioning for him to come and join them for a drink.

Nate stopped before he was exiting. As he turned and noted that the individual motioned him towards the table. Which he had prevented the chair having an untimely date with. As he furrowed his brows in an unsure manner for a brief moment. Before it corrected and he was back to his expressionless self. Nate turned and walked over and took a seat across from the woman. Keeping quiet as he offered a bow of his head, to show he meant no disrespect towards her. Then looked up and began to study his surroundings. Noticing the silence of the Cantina. Apparently he'd drawn a bit more attention then what he'd anticipated. However he'd live on with it, hopefully.

Nate finally turned his attention to the hostess of the current meeting. "Is the tea good?" he asked her curiously. Just as a opener until he'd determined the nature as to why the woman had drew him over to her table. He kept his hood over his head for the moment. He wanted to know who he was dealing with. Before he offered extensive information regarding who he was. Additionally if this individual was force sensitive. He'd to hope that they'd be open to working with his unique view points. Either that or guide him to a better path. Before they got the thought that he'd need to be removed from existence. The fact that Nate couldn't tell anything more about this person's personality, then he offered in his own expressions. Was a little unsettling on top of everything.

"Very." Matsu said it while watching him for anything that might be of interest as the atrisian woman let her straight black hair settle for a moment only fixing it where the strains had moved to go across her face. She starred at the man with black pools from her eyes while giving a small look before setting the cup down on the table. "Quite a sight and I don't really feel the darkside with you... which is good. The jedi in this city and on the moon would be more careful." Somewhat true, mostly they paid attention to darksiders but didn't rush after and follow them. They just wanted to be safe and well when you had a mission statement to protect on a world where force crystals and some other materials for your own use grew you stayed safe.... also protecting the moon from being used or breached was very important. "So tell me about yourself."

Nate bit his tongue slightly, and opted to remain silent about the dark side comment. As he was horrible at lying and didn't believe in lying. So silence was his only defense from admitting truth. Nate had been raised on interesting ideals, and therefore was familiar with how to access dark side force techniques, as much as light side force techniques. Though only the basics of both sides. It was what his parents raised him up to know. Though Nate could honestly state he was no slave to the dark side. He didn't let his emotions dictate his decisions. Merely aid him should he ever need them. It was a balance which Nate would personally strive for. Just as when he had a lightsaber should he live long enough to acquire one. He would balance between the use of the force, command of allies, and the use of his weapon. As an unpredictable opponent was a lethal opponent.

When the lady asked him to tell her about himself. He found a manner in which he could be honest, though indirect. "My parents raised me on unique ideals. When I was old enough I left them to travel on my own. Mainly getting help through cutting deals and making temporary allegiances. In return they offered me temporary resources and transport." Nate began to explain. "My parents taught me the basics." He said referring to his talents within the force. "As well as taught me to seek a balance and understanding in many things." he added as his facial expression remained neutral. "However I never had a mentor afterwards to further my teachings, and help guide me further down my path."

Nate looked to the woman and removed his hood finally. As he looked to her and waited patiently. To see how much of his words the woman would decipher. Then patiently await her decision along the matters. Nate was no threat to those who he had no quarrel with. Like the people and resources provided by this system. Nate wouldn't take them in a quest for power, or just sheer desire to invoke pain. Though Nate would defend himself, and Nate would hold his end of a bargain regardless of what it was. As Nate as mentioned before wouldn't lie. The reason behind his unyielding honestly was as much a mystery to himself, as to any who discovered Nate was incapable of telling a lie.

Listening to him it did raise her interest mostly because well parents teaching children things was important and if it was something practical well all the better. She could work and move over with some of the things there taking another sip. "I see well that is good to hear." She didn't really need to look to far into it while the cantina was going back to normal and the jedi master had some of her attention on a few of the larger things being done. "There is not much on Shri-Tal that others come for, most can't afford the invisible market on the moon and most of the really big things on the planet they don't pay attention to save here in the Imperial city. The Weeping stone is famous I suppose."

Nate followed along as the woman spoke of key interests, as to why a person would want to come to this planet. Causing Nate to wander if she believed he was here for tourism purposes. The notion almost caused his lips to twitch upwards. Though true to his nature he remained with his lack of clear expression. As Nate determined whether or not he should explain his reasoning for being here.

Finally Nate decided he had nothing to loose. "I came here because I had a unexplained calling to do so." He admitted to the woman. "I believe it was the force drawing me here. However I have not the slightest idea what it was hoping for me to find. Unless of course I simply am refusing to see what is already there." He finally determined. As he looked around the cantina. Finally he decided to be a little bold. As he reached out with the force to try and get a better understanding of who the lady in front of him was.

The force called him here. That raised her interest but she was keeping her face neutral while some of the energies went to listen and feel all of the senses in the area. "The force can do that and if it brought you here, then it was likely trying to get you into the vision of the jedi." There was other reasons it might but usually the force sent people to places they needed to be to help or get help. If he was coming to a jedi world in a sector of space where the jedi worked with the govenments to protect the large lot of things then well.... he was going to get the help unles he came off and proved himself to be a danger or a threat. They could cross that bridge if they came to it.

Nate withdrew his force energies when he discovered he wouldn't be getting much from this individual. At least not be an approach so direct. It could also be this lady's personality was just so blank. That it provided a natural cloak to whatever was hidden beneath. Either way it frustrated Nate, making him slightly uneasy also. That someone could be so emotionless. Nate was expressionless though that was distinctual from genuine lack of emotion. Either that or at least electing to supress whatever emotion may be present. It meant this lady would react on her own sense of reason, so if she deemed something a threat, she'd act without second thought, and with no regret afterwards.

Nate didn't let his uncertainty show of course. He'd need to step more cautiously around her. Not to deceive her as Nate didn't believe in dishonesty of any sort. Though to at least make sure he didn't hit her radar of being a threat. He'd prefer to keep breathing. "The jedi?" Nate said in response as he turned to focus on her words. Nate knew that he needed guidance. In fact he strived for a cause to follow. Though he never knew which side he'd fit into. He was not power hungry, hateful, nor cruel like the sith. Though he never viewed himself as saintful as the Jedi.

Though if the force decided that was the path to take for now. Nate was not the man to argue with it. If this was what the force decided needed to be done to find balance. Then Nate would accept it's guidance. "I'd like to seek the Jedi out then." Nate said to the woman and gave an nod as a silent affirmative. "My name is Nate Seo." He said to the woman, so he could properly introduce who he was.

Matsu kept her eyes on him as he seemed to be thinking and she did what she knew worked on her daughters and padawans. Full attention with those eyes and leaving them as unblinking black pools in the whites as she spoke. "Then the jedi you will find." Again staying honest, he was finding a jedi after all but he should be able to come to that conclusion on his own. Holding his hand to tell him who was a jedi and who wasn't wouldn't help as much. "I am Jedi Master Matsu Ike, one of the artisan's and researchers within the order. I specialize in making equipment with the force." She raised her eyebrows taking another sip of the tea as the others were staying about their business.

Nate guessed that made sense. As he dipped his head out of respect towards her. "Master [member="Matsu Ike"] might I ask a somewhat personal question?" Nate asked as he focused on her his attention unyielding and his expression unwavering. He would of made a fine gambler if it wasn't for the hindrance of his no deceipt philosophy. He wanted to ask what was going on, why he sensed so little emotion within her. He also pondered the possibility he just didn't have the skill to get a read on her.

Nate sat back and wandered what the lady would do with him. Would she leave him to figure things out on his own, would she set a direction and leave it to him to find a destination. Either that or would she try to teach him herself, and if so how would her approach be about doing so.

She was looking at him when he asked if he could but there wasn't a question after it getting her attention on a few of the things. "You can." There was a a small look but she was mostly remaining still. Wondering what his question was as her expression showed nothing but internally behind the mental defenses built up over the years and well there was the force technology they had developed for dealing with most things save phobis devices. She was ready and all ears in anticipation focusing a little on the tea when it got warm with her finger as it started to heat and steam back up. Convection as a technique had other use then just keeping people from touching you.

"Is your emotions shielded, are they buried, or are they void of existence? I couldn't pick up on anything when I reached out with the force." he asked her curiously as he furrowed his brows some in confusion. "I admit it is possible I'm just not skilled enough to detect them. However I never experienced it before when reaching out to others." Nate explained to [member="Matsu Ike"] in a calm tone. As he looked to the tea and tilted his head. Observing how it was heating up again. Nate had a unique connection to his environment. He couldn't explain it to people. Though force techniques used in partnership with the environment was more thrilling to Nate, then using a technique to aid his physical skills or connect to others.

Nate glanced towards the door of the Cantina as he waited a response. Then turned back to the jedi master whom he sat across. He hoped silently she took no offense to him wondering that about her. As her emotions were honestly none of his business. Though it was a curiosity that he needed to sedate. So he could focus on higher priority problems.

She was looking at him when he asked and raised an eyebrow. How best to answer that... she was curious now thinking about it. on the one hand her work with the jedi well she followed the code near exclusively. "I have them but the jedi code is very precise. There is no emotion, there is peace. My lack of emotion in most public situations is because I follow the code." Her attention was on some of the things while her attention went over more of it. She had the force to sense everything around her. "Though I have been known to make jokes, here in the Imperial City it is a very large center for business and exchange of ideas." She was up for anything and everything while some information went across the index datapad in her robes pocket with a small look. They were working on things in the warehouse to continue to produce the beamers more. Mass production of such things would be invaluable in many instances.

Nate paid clear attention to [member="Matsu Ike"]. Letting the information revolve his mind. As he felt the Jedi path would be difficult for him. Though he had to follow what his intuition was telling him to do. As he studied her and relaxed. "I understand." He replied. As he looked towards the door of the cantina. "Is there anything that I can help with?" He asked her and tilted his head. As he pondered upon where to go from here. Seeming the force felt he should go down this path. Nate would figure out specifics after he got down the basics. He figured offering his aid would be a good place to start. As he could accomplish things and learn on the go.

Looking at him while she thought about plenty of things that were being done that could use help. They were working on some of it for crystals and all of the things to improve some of the stronger pieces of equipment. One was from here they were working on with the weaves and looms. They had created the nice spindles that worked the force crystals into the weave, as well as the kinetic plate and they were working with infusing some of the stronger and more rare things within the galaxy. She knew there was some additional work to make new metals and alloys far stronger and superior in strength compared to the other things while... "There is somethings you could help with, we have been working on harvesting force crystals on the planet that we can use with our looms to make new jedi robes."

Nate watched once more as the jedi master appeared to get lost in thought. At least up to the point that she placed a suggestion to Nate. He tapped his thumbs against the table. As he looked about and wished he had something to move around with the force. His expression appearing concentrated for a moment as he considered getting the chair airborne once more. However as long as it took with the last extension of his force based ability. Nate figured it was probably best not to make another scene. As he closed his eyes and leaned back. Settling for observing his environment for the moment.

"I'd be glad to aid in any manner towards harvesting the crystals. Will the solely be going towards production, or do a percentage get transferred for research?" Nate asked as he looked to her. Nate didn't let on that he was slowly starting to develop enthusiasm towards the concept of this adventure. With the potential to further his abilities, and to learn new things. Either that or simply enjoy a good task and move on. He supposed it'd be up to Master Matsu whether he under went training under her guidance, or if she felt he was better suited as another individuals apprentice. He also came to the conclusion that he might as well not dabble upon the future and try to focus on the present.

His willingness to help was certainly nice to see and rising up while she looked at the padawan for a moment the jedi master bowed her head. "Good, that will be a good attitude to have." She was looking at some of the things while leaving the empty cup for the girl who was there cleaning while walking. Towards the door opening it up while she stepped outside and the pleasure district with all of the cantinas and shops, restaurants and carts was busy. Letting her go and lead the way towards the some of the entrances down into the lower tunnels that the different businesses controlled. The jedi of the silver sanctum wearing silver and white robes while they stayed at the ready for anything protecting some of the crystal veins that could be harvested by padawans and artisan's working on things.
