Songsteel - Dev thread needed?

Hi everybody!

So I was just wondering if someone out there could tell me if a dev thread is needed to collect and create weapons out of songsteel?

Also does anyone know if one could create armor out of it? Because on the wiki page it just states that it was used to create masterwork weapons?

Yep, I've seen songsteel armor.

It would work fairly well as armor in regards to blaster and lightsaber resistance, though not quite so well for many other things. Songsteel is generally applied thinly, as far as armor goes, because it offers a good deal of protection and is extremely light, to the point of rivaling Phrik in mass/weight, for the thinness of the material. I'm sure you could make a plate armor of songsteel, and it would still be fairly light (as long as songsteel and basic stuff are all that are included, jetpacks and such will stack on the weight and defeat the purpose of songsteel), although it probably is best for lighter armor with a little more exposure simply because of its purpose.
