GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • | Gravity | Twice Standard Gravity
  • | Climate | Arid, few places on Ballus Prime are temperate or humid.
  • | Primary Terrain |
    • A majority of Ballus Prime is of vast, sandy deserts, punctuated by minor oceans and small grasslands. Its northern axis is a hellscape of magma pits while its southern axis is capped with thick, unmelting ice.
  • | Atmosphere |
    • | Type II | Not particularly friendly to those who enjoy Type I atmospheres, the gases that form Ballus Prime's atmosphere have been noted to cause irritation and discomfort to those not native to the planet.
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • | Capital Cities |
    • | Atami |
      • While not a city in the sense that most might expect, Atami is the name for the largest moving settlement that the Eidolyn tribes have established, open to natives and offworlders. Named after one of the Temporous Dragons of the First Brood, Atani is a city of wealth and commerce, with strict laws regarding violence taking place within its borders. Atani has been established as the capital city for foreigners and offworlders to tour and experience and offers a bazaar-like atmosphere.
    • | Bathaum |
      • Bathaum, unlike Atami, is a massive cityscape that was established by the early Darkyn tribes, and named after the other legendary Temporous Dragon. Bathaum is a city that only welcomes those of Barythian blood into its borders, and is highly prejudiced against off-worlders. Bathaum is regarded as the 'official' capital city of Ballus Prime.
  • | Planetary Features |
    • Massive, desolated ruins can be found jutting from the sands of Ballus Prime's deserts, indicators of an age where Barythians were not nomadic tribes.
  • | Major Locations |
    • | Tarsus Shipyard | A massive drydock/shipyard that refuels and repairs the Barythian Navy.
    • | Barythian Fighting Pits | Scattered across the surface of Ballus Prime are a number of fighting pits that Barythians visit for sport. Here Barythians test their strength and skills against one another, or in more illicit pits, place saves and other exotic imports against each other in fights to the death.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • | Government |
    • Ballus Prime's government consists of numerous tribal heads that form some semblance of a democratic governing body, where universal laws and such can be agreed and voted on by the tribal leaders. How each tribe governs and operates their settlements on an individual basis however is left to each tribal head.
  • | Affiliation | N/A
  • | Wealth |
    • | Medium |
  • | Stability |
    • | Low | Due to the nature of warring tribal factions, there is little stability when it comes to the politics of Ballus Prime. Outside of the universally agreed upon laws that were established, most if not all Barythian tribes have some form of issue with one another, and it is uncommon for those of Darkyn or Eidolyn backgrounds to get along. Darkyn tribes especially are rather xenophobic and territorial, typically leading to conflicts with offworlders and non-Darkyn Barythians, whereas Eidolyn tribes are more likely to be more accommodating and hospitable.
  • | Freedom & Oppression |
    • While most tribes are relatively free to operate and do as they please under the leadership of their tribal leaders, one Darkyn tribe led by an individual named Ghodin, after the Destroyer, has seen to unify the Barythians under an ironclad rule, waging war against smaller tribes and assimilating their numbers. Several coalitions of Barythian tribes have banded to prevent such a future from being realized, but their efforts are fast becoming ineffective in the face of a growing dynasty.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • | Military |
    • Ballus Prime sports a powerful navy of spacefaring ships that maintains strict control over the Ballus System against any who pass within its territory. The Barythian Navy operates under the parameters and orders established unanimously by the tribal heads. Ballus Prime also features its own equivalent of a planetary defense force that operates similarly to its Navy. Outside of that it is left to the individual tribes to produce their own warriors and structure.
  • | Technology |
    • | Galactic Standard | While their technology may seem more archaic in design than most, their technology level is on par with that of Galactic Standard, and are capable of space travel as well.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ballus Prime dates back to well before the era of the Old Republic, though it was far less civilized in its more primal days. Not much of Ballus Prime's history has been recorded, though many legends and stories have been passed down through the generations that came well before the start of the Old Republic. The Ballus System was said to have been the home to massive, legendary creatures that once roamed its space freely, though now they are believed to be extinct. Legend has it that a few drops of the First Brood gave rise to the Barythians who are descended from these legendary dragons, now the ones who live and roam the surface of Ballus Prime.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • | Name | Temporus Dragons
  • | Designation | Sentient
  • | Origins | Unknown
  • | Average Lifespan | Unknown, speculated to be well over a few thousand years.
  • | Estimated Population |
    • | Semi-Unique | There are only eight Temporus Dragons known to exist in the Galaxy; Bathaum and Atami, and their children - Gohdin, Vrael, Krotasa, Dazaja, Trava, and Maugus, all of whom have been last heard to reside in the Ballus System.
  • | Description |
    • The Temporus Dragons are generally speaking rather unique from one another in how they are colored, though they do share similar physiology in some regards. They all possess four horns on their heads while the males possess more leathery wings and jagged protrusions while the females possess wings that look feathered in nature with a less aggressive appearance.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • | Breathes | Type IV
  • | Average Height of Bathaum and Atami | Twenty Thousand Meters
    • | Average Height of Children | Ten Thousand Meters
  • | Average Length of Bathaum and Atami | Twenty Thousand Meters
    • | Average Length of Children | Ten Thousand Meters
  • | Skin Color | N/A
  • | Hair Color | N/A
  • | Distinctions |
    • TBA
  • | Races | N/A
  • | Force Sensitivity |
    • | All | All eight Temporus Dragons have a strong connection with the Force, though it has never been documented or discovered by any other species..
Strengths
  • | Ancient Ones | The Temporus Dragons are an ancient and wise species, dating their origins to the beginning of all things within the Galaxy, having traveled through space before finally settling on the planet of Ballus System. They sustain themselves off the essence of life, and seem to grow.
  • | Living Legends | Temporus Dragons are impervious to any and all external forms of damage known to the Galaxy, from blunt force to advanced weaponry. Even their scales are capable of deflecting Class-D disruptor weaponry. Vibroblades, lightsabers, blasters, turbo lasers, and such are ineffective and will not harm them.
Weaknesses
  • | Temporous Claws | The only thing that is able to pierce the armored body of a Temporous Dragon is the claws of another Temporous Dragon.
CULTURE
  • | Diet | Essence
  • | Communication |
    • Temporus Dragons speak in an ancient dialect that is understood by their descendants and those with Barythian blood. Though they speak vocally, their words can be understood by foreign species through telepathy. However, the chances of a Temporus Dragon communicating with anything or anyone is slim to none as they tend to behave like a semi-sentient species.
  • | Technology Level | N/A
  • | Religion/Beliefs | N/A
  • | General Behavior |
    • Temporus Dragons having witnessed the rise and fall of numerous species and civilizations have grown callous to the affairs of those outside their own brood. They refuse to involve themselves with matters outside their own more intent on the observation and recording of history as time passes.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]
AUTHOR'S NOTES
These are at no point to ever be used by anyone outside of being referenced to or used for any sort of story-driven purposes outside myself or without my express consent. It is strictly just for further fleshing out the Playable Species as added flavor.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • | Name | Barythian
  • | Designation | Sentient
  • | Origins | Ballus Prime
  • | Average Lifespan | ~500 Years
  • | Estimated Population | Scattered, Nomadic
  • | Description |
    • Barythians are a species of near-human aliens that are distinguished by their partially draconic features, namely the horns and scale-like growth that they possess on their bodies as well as fully scaled tails. Their horns grow in a number of distinct ways. Barythian scales grow tougher as they grow older, reaching a hardness comparable to that of diamonds or near impervious metals when they reach adult maturity, without hindrance to flexibility. This scale-like growth covers portions of their faces, necks, upper arms, forearms, torso, and legs, similar in position to where most armors would cover. The scales are capable of deflecting most vibroblades and standard blaster bolts whereas their tails are capable of slicing and piercing most organics. The rest of their body however is much like that of a normal human, and their scales do not hold up against the likes of lightsabers.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • | Breathes | Type I-IV, Comfortably breathes Type II
  • | Average Height of Adults |
    • | Male | 1.9 Meters
    • | Female | 1.5 Meters
  • | Average Length of Adults | N/A
  • | Skin Color | Varies
  • | Hair Color | Varies
  • | Distinctions |
    • Male Barythians are distinguished as being much taller and larger than the female populace of their species. Barythians are also divided into one of two races, the Darkin and Eidolyn. While a Barythian can be born under a specific tribe, they may possess the qualities or distinction of the latter depending on their ancestry. They are more specifically aligned with the tribe that they are born and raised under. regardless of any physiological discrepancies.
  • | Races |
    • | Darkyn | Darkyn are typically characterized by their darker skin tones, ranging from browns, grays, and dark blues. They are also known to be more commonly attuned with the Dark Side of the Force for those that are gifted with Force Sensitivity. Darkyn Barythians are also known to be more aggressive/intolerant to those outside their species with a heavier involvement with combat and war.
    • | Eidolyn | Eidolyn are typically characterized by their paler skin tones, ranging from snow white to light reds. Among the Barythians, they typically are often more attuned to the Light Side of the Force compared to Darkyn. Those of the Eidolyn are typically more docile in nature and often are more known for their agricultural, commerce, and interspecies relations.
  • | Force Sensitivity |
    • | Rare | Force Sensitivity among Barythians is rare, rare enough that they are revered and treated with respect among both Darkyn and Eidolyn tribes, regardless of their background or status. It is said that they are able to hear the voices of the Temporus Dragons that they are descended from, able to harness a small fraction of their wisdom and strength.
Strengths
  • | Draconic Ancestry | Though they bear far inferior traits compared to the Temporus Dragons that they are descended from, Barythians still possess qualities that make them extremely durable and capable of having immense amounts of harm inflicted upon them. Enhanced bone and muscle density due to the high gravity of Ballus Prime as well as genetics make them extremely tough and durable as well as noticeably more agile and nimble in lower gravity environments. This paired with their near impervious scales make them akin to walking tanks rather than organics.
Weaknesses
  • | Environment | Depending on the tribe that a Barythian was raised in, they may find certain environments less suitable for them. Darykn tribes typically thrive in harsher climates where they are trained to resist the harsh temperatures of the deserts of their home, whereas one from an Eidolyn tribe may struggle in the same climate.
CULTURE
  • | Diet | Omnivorous
  • | Communication |
    • | Verbal | Barythians speak in a shared common tongue, though there may be some distinctions in dialect depending on the tribe they come from. Barythians have also learned to speak Galactic Basic, growing in its use on Ballus Prime.
  • | Technology Level |
    • Barythian technological standards are up to par with the Galaxy, though their usage of such technology could be considered primitive as their weapons are of more archaic design. While they are capable of producing technology at the specifications that the rest of the Galaxy uses, their own designs are still advanced enough to be serviced in any civilian or militant capacity.
  • | Religion/Beliefs |
    • Barythian religion revolves around the Kaitan an entity comparable to that of the Force and its so-called 'chosen', though rather than establishing the Light and Dark aspects of the Force as being at odds with one another they view them as two shards that both belong to the Kaitan as a whole. Those gifted by the Force among their species are titled as 'Chosen' - those gifted with the boons granted by the Kaitan. The Chosen of Kaitan are often revered as leaders, or prophets among their species, and are often given appropriate respect amongst the scattered nomadic tribes.
    • There are a total of eight different 'signs' that a Balrythian can be born under, the sign shifting every year. While it is believed to have some bearing on how the Chosen's abilities are based around the sign that they are born under, as well as the personality traits of the species. These signs are named after the eight Temporus Dragons -
      • Bathaum - The Creator
        • Solitary, Wise, Vain
      • Atami - The Lifegiver
        • Esoteric, Kind, Dignified
      • Gohdin - The Destroyer
        • Bold, Ambitious, Arrogant
      • Vrael - The Peacekeeper
        • Balanced, Magananimous, Virtuous
      • Krotasa - The Stalwart
        • Reliable, Dutiful, Vigilant
      • Dazaja - The Matron
        • Nurturing, Softspoken, Docile
      • Trava - The Wanderer
        • Free-Spirited, Unbound, Curious
      • Maugus - The Arbirtrator
        • Firm, Just, Fair
  • | General Behavior |
    • The general behavior of a Barythian tends to depend entirely on which race they belong to, where Darkyn tend to be more aggressive and prone to violence compared to the Eidolyns who are more open to hospitable terms. Though not set in stone based on their race, individuals from either of the two can behave as any sentient would and act/behave on their own accord and experiences with those of their own species or of alien ones. It has been noted that the male Barythian populace tends to be bolder and upfront with their thoughts and feelings whereas the female Balrythian populace tends to be a bit more docile.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Barythians are the descendants of the mighty dragons that once roamed Ballus Prime freely, tracing their ancestry back to the first of their brood - the Temporus Dragons Bathaum and Atami from which all Temporus were born and from which the Barythians were created. There once was a time where Barythians lived and thrived as a singular civilization in the Ballus System during its Golden Age that dates back to the age of the Old Republic living as an independent and free species, left undisturbed on the far reaches of the Tingel Arm in solitude.
Early records of Barythian history allude to a more unified and sedentary civilization, where great cities once dominated the desertscapes of Ballus Prime, architecture of similar design to that of Atrisia. However, after what was recorded as the Great Schism, this version of Barythian history seems to more closely resemble modern day. A great number of conflicts that spanned dynasties have been recorded, sundering the population of Ballus Prime and dividing it into what is now known as Darkyn and Eidolyn tribes that are now scattered across the surface of Ballus Prime and the nearby planets within the Ballus System.
Over the centuries it seems that Barythian culture has remained nomadic, scattered and distinctly divided. Darkyn tribes seem to stick to the older ways of remaining in one spot unless forced from it, while the Eidolyn tribes typically are often on the move with temporary cities that can be moved from one location to the next.
Darkyn tribes typically seem to produce more warriors and resources dedicated to maintaining a strong grip of the military sphere, whereas Eidolyn tribes are more likely to produce more artisans, traders and intellectuals over the more economic sphere. Both have managed to retain a somewhat healthy balance one another when it comes to the prosperity of the Ballus System, though their history typically leans into eras of peace and wartime rather frequently.
