COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Strengths: An immensely powerful battlegroup in traditional warfare, the Hammerheads are a strong force attacking enemies head on with the advantage in their long range main guns, which the Spearhead also supports in greater numbers. With each ship carrying its own fighter squadron they are also less vulnerable to enemy strike craft.
  • Weaknesses: No ship in particular has ample anti-fighter weaponry, leaving them weak to large numbers of starfighters and bombers that break through their own support squadron.
  • Description: Ordered by the Outer Rim Coalition to provide their naval academy on Jelucan with tried and true warships for their cadets and midshipmen to train aboard, the Spears of Jelucan was commissioned to meet the demand. Produced by Rendili Stardrive the small fleet includes three Hammerhead Cruisers supporting a larger Spearhead Heavy Cruiser. Originally meant as a military expedition craft, the Spearhead has ironically seen more use in wartime than for exploration, finding itself at home as an ample command craft for small battlegroups. Nonetheless it boosts numerous facilities that make its command role effective, and armaments that both work in tandem with the main guns of its accompanying Hammerhead Cruisers as well as supplement the Task Force's Long Range advantage. As a gift to the Outer Rim Coalition, an unordered Vainglorious Class Cruiser was also attached to the battlegroup to fill a picket/anti-fighter role.
