Ord Providence, Provenia
Previous...

"The... old prophets never spoke of a complete uprising. Surely this is only a misunderstanding. Our people are not in rebellion, they're just... having their faith tested. There has to be a more reasonable solution-"

"Silence, Lunaria. You understand well enough what we face. Curve your tongue and remember your duty to the Goddess."

"Yes... Elder Joth..."

"Yumia has disobeyed her purpose. It is clear to me now that our people are faithless. Tainted. The scourge of the lesser air has been twisting their fantasies since the moment we opened our borders. Yet, all the same, we have a divine purpose in this place. An oath we have taken to ensure that our purity, above all else, is preserved. Should our people fall to depravity, we are left only one choice. The founders left the Contingency Measure to bring their grand experiment to a close."

"S-surely you can't be considering- Th-there are roughly a billion people on Ord Providence! We can't be so compromised as to-"

"One billion heretics, Elder Lunaria! One billion heretics. This is the way, as dictated by the founders. We will have purity ensured. This is a matter of ascension, good lady. If anyone down there is not yet tainted, let them join the Goddess in the next life."

Reports have come in from Ord Providence's port of Thella, a call of distress to her allies in the Alliance. Pressure in the planetary domes have begun to depressurize. Estimated time for complete contamination of the air: One week.

Hello everyone. Objectives for you all to sink your teeth into:

Objective 1: Slow Burn

With no clear solution to sudden depressurization of the domed cities of Ord Providence, evacuation has been left as the only option. With a week's time slated for total depressurization, which would see the toxic Clouzon-36 in the atmosphere render the settlements on the planet completely uninhabitable, the Galactic Alliance spearheads a mass exodus with the hopes of relocating the Godoan people to the temperate moons of Ord Providence, Sellia I and II. Capital ships have been brought into the atmosphere for maximum passenger carry capacity, but the process slow going. Volunteers from the Alliance and their allies have been tasked to take to the streets and deliver rebreathers to those still awaiting transit. The Godoan people have been forced to leave their home before, as departure from Godo had brought them to this place. Some see this as a test of spiritual resolve. Others, just a catastrophe. Regardless of outlook, all move towards Thella, Ord Providence's spaceport.

Objective 2: Salvation

Reports have come in that the clergy, who culturally have lead the people of Ord Providence for the last hundred years, have sealed themselves off in the New Temple of the Goddess. This follows a brief period of unrest, where the lower cast protested their leaders for the first time over their expansive history following a coup. This 'revolution' was peaceful, and rather quiet when compared to other events within the Alliance, but the fear response in the clergy is apparent. While individuals on the outside have attempted to relay to the temple that the domes are depressurizing, it seems they've been met with nothing but silence. That is until communication was suddenly established with an elder inside the Tower of the High named Lunaria, who's cryptic message was picked up by the Strategic Intelligence Agency...

"Come to... the house... Th... will resist... Prepare to fight them... Salvation is ...under the house... I will take you there."

Ord Providence's military stands at the ready, ordered to fend off any who wish to enter the structure. Brave volunteers from the Alliance have agreed to storm the New Temple of the Goddess, hoping that linking up with this rogue elder will present a solution to the looming threat of depressurization...

BYOO:

The streets of Ord Providence are open to explore amidst the crisis.

Bar some OOC complication, I expect to drop this thread this Saturday, February 22nd. I'll see you all then.
