Description: These small throwing knives were previously gifted to Raziel when he was under the employ of a Hutt cartel as a teenager. With only two left, Raziel found himself in a position to utilise the resources of Prototype Lab Q of Spynet to reverse engineer the design.

A tungsten core gives the blade weight and balance, but the outer surface is much more complicated. The blades are tipped with microscopic backward-facing barbs that act like grappling hooks and lodge in the skin. This improve the penetrative power of the blade, make it more difficult to remove, and provide a much greater surface area for coating with poison.

The weapon only has an effective range of 20m for the larger blades and 10m for the smaller and they have no ability to penetrate armour. Clothing and potentially very light armor designed purely for energy weapon defense (armorweave) may be penetrated by the blade.

When the user pulls the blade out – which will typically only lodge a few centimetres into flesh – they will find it difficult to remove. A sharp pull will dislodge it, but leave a messy wound.

As the blade is removed, the barbs are designed to break away from the core, leaving thousands of micrometre-millimetre sized shards in the flesh. This means the wound will often get infected and reduces healing time. Sometimes a very careful cleaning will aid recovery, at other times a medical procedure may be required to remove the remaining pieces.

As the weapon is typically poison coated, the shards left in the flesh can extend the effects of any poison.
