She felt pity for the man for only a single moment, but then she suppressed that feeling forever. Tacitus deceived him, he never cared about what Vitiate was doing, at most by gaining his power and he could destroy the Force with it. Tacitus was a psychopath; she “said” this by respecting her mentor and friend at the same time. The woman was a manipulator in a different way than the late emperor. Darth Tacitus deceived this man, and the woman can't tell him that.
"Darth Tacitus, or Emperor Tacitus, not just Tacitus. You are not the last surviving person of that age. If you do not believe me and the historical data… visit one of the leaders of the Sith Empire,
Ardana Vorco
. She was a Dark Counselor after the reign of Vitiate, and is now one of the Pillars of the Sith Empire. She can probably give you more accurate information about him and his reign."

"The laws apply equally to everyone, including me. It also happened to me that I made a mistake, after which I voluntarily undertook several hours of torture for it, already as an Overlord. If I'm not made exceptions about myself, I will not do this with others either."
Nor did she stand above the law, she would have gone in to be tortured if she had broken it and that is her punishment. Meanwhile, Frank offered her a deathstick. She shook her head, it wasn’t really legal in the Empire because it caused a strong addiction, she never lived with it anyway, never used it. Ingrid looked at the man with a stern look, not because of the words, because of the offering.
"You'll go to the jail for punishment too, when the evening is over, Mr. Sterling."
Meanwhile, in the world in her mind, the first dance was over, she let Adrian pull her close and kiss her…
