I would love to work with the republic again but anything you did with me would be freelance unless my status with them changed, and I would of course not ask you to do anything anti republic or betray them. Being fairly new here (read: of the Out-of-the-Box Brand Spanking variety of new), I don't know how to go about achieving this.
Do I contact the Vitae Alliance leadership and let them know that I'll be doing a thread to get this information and allow them to oppose? Do I use my fairly mercenary character to join in their current dominion and work my way in to the information that way?
What is allowed and what isn't allowed in this regard?

Usually its best to talk to them first or at least tag them so they know what you are doing if you start a thread investigating. You can also be even sneaker and try to join them and pretend to be with them. Whatever way you want to go with this really. I think that in this case your best bet is to work your way towards the information via planting yourself in the group seeing how secretive the base is. Of course the existence of this thread and our plotting is ooc information and if any of them 'know' you are spying please let an rpj know that your opponents are meta gaming. You will have to be careful since we are obviously plotting right her but if you want talk to me on skype at Alex_xr or pm me.
