It was perhaps a bit of a mystery why the Twi'lek was present, she certainly didn't have the credits to bid on any of the items being presented, but that wasn't really the point. The point was that a lot of the people who did have the credits, the movers and shakers were going to be here. The point was to be seen. One had to play games like this when climbing the social ladder. Besides, it was a good indication of what people were interested in, and it would be good to know who won what as well. If they wound up working together she'd know their assets, if they wound up as adversaries she'd be prepared. A little forethought could go a long way.
She did sigh a bit at the Ropo's though. All right, so it was foolish and ridiculous, but they were adorable. She really ought to have found a man to attend with. She probably could've gotten him to buy them to earn her favour. Oh well, more motivation to get some jobs done. At least she'd seen the big cat before, that was almost the same as 'knowing' him. Since it looked like she was going to miss out this go round, perhaps she'd be able to get a favour out of him later. You never knew.
With a last look at the fuzzballs, she turned her attention back to the room at large.
