Staring into the Abyss of the Dragon.

No footprints marked the path of the husk. The wind had already carried them away.

Abyss could feel it, the thrill of the hunt. Not just within himself, but all around him. The desert was littered with those that had answered his call, hiding in the distance while they all marked their prey. Soon the sand would be painted in a brilliant red, until the wind would carry it away like footprints.

For now they waited, they observed. The hunting party was still heading towards their own prey, unaware that the dragon would not be the one that would find its end today. When [member="Muad Dib"] made the mistake of his heresy, little had he known what would come for him. Not the bounty hunters, not the allies of the Mindeater, but the deranged entity himself, hungering to devour everything he was until only a shell would be left, more empty than himself.

Even now, from so far away, the mental tendrils of the Prophet reached through the air, reaching for the mind of the beast they had set out to hunt. Men could not resist the might of the Mindeater, and neither would the dragon once Abyss eyes would fall upon it. Like those that stood within for loyalty, or for more credits than most insects would see in their entire live, it would be commanded to kill, not out of deadly instincts but because it had no no other choice left.

Silently the husk followed the moving party, still waiting. The moment of his revenge was coming closer with every taken step.

The merry trek across the desert with an interesting group of individuals. What else could you ask for. Turning he listened to Alexandra when she said the size and number of the beasts were unknown. A smirk crossed his face at the endless possibilities of the unknown.

Approaching the group was a man Muad had met a few times during several mando battles. Nolan Detta appeared perfectly prepared for the hunt. Some might think this group was over prepared for the hunt of a simple Krayt Dragon, but any who had seen one face to face would argue the point that anything short of several heavy turbolasers was ill advised.

"Ner vod."

All a man needed in life was the backing of a vod, an aliit, a clan. And Muad was happy to have such a brother in arms on this hunt. Looking between the three companions and himself the Mad Knight chuckled at the wide variety of weaponry.

"Do we have a permit for these guns? We got your permit right here."

Muad lightly tapped the handle of the sword strapped to his back as he turned to continue the forced march across the dunes. Passing several tracks he paused, both eye and the HUD matching the prints to other fauna native to the planet. Not a Krayt however.

As the group moved deeper into the desert Muad refected on the distant look Alexandra had given the terrain and wondered if perhaps he had missed something. Reaching out in the force he sensed a being with a powerful presence approaching their location in the distance. A smirk crossed his face for he knew the power he had felt.

Flicking the comm channel open he spoke to both Metus, Cairyn, and the others who were with him. An amusement colored the tone as his voice.

"What was Jabba's middle name? ..... THE!!!"

The laughter at his own joke , bad as it was, echoed across the comm and his external speakers.

Rapax simply nodded and walked with the group he kept his senses active around him for any unwanted guests or new arrivals, He could sense a dark presence not far away from them but he didn't recognize who or what it was so he kept an eye on its activities as it where, as he walked with the others even though he and Dusaro had a few run ins in the past he thought a krayt dragon hunt might sooth any left over tension between them now that they are on the same side and the like plus Dusaro has a pension for doing a lot with very little so having someone that resourceful was a benefit to him and the group. As he walked keeping his suits sensors and his own senses on high alert especially around this new presence while he could not see the two hunters he prepared his armor attachments subtly as possible in case he needed to utilize them in the upcoming adventure.

Ra had remembered some desert garb and decided before heading out into the desert itself to put that on over her clothes. Taking her cloak off, she hung it over her arm and opened one of the many packs on the beast that held their belongings. Pulling out a few pieces of cloth that would almost look like mummy wrappings from a distance, Ra placed her cloak into the pack those wrappings had come from.

With deft and sure hands, Ra put on over her black outfit one such a Tusken Raider male would wear. The ones the female wore were not meant for battle and Ra wanted to be ready to fight if she needed to. Making sure everything was in place, she turned around to survey the gathering. Many were in a position of observation and watched as the traffic leached out into the desert.

Caravans and parties of people making a pilgrimage or wanting to test their endurance, some to hunt the beasts that lurked in the sands.

Their targets were here hunting a Krayt Dragon. Little did they know they were also hunted. Like predators, they set out to lay a trap for their prey.

"No sand people huh? Damn that is an honest suprise. Peopele actaully been trying to remove them from the planet then i figure." He said with a light shrug, having been wondering when people would make a conscerted effort to try and remove that paticular group of nasties. Dusaro didn't feel anything paticularly out of place, nothing more then a bit of a tickle on the back of his neck if that. He kept his senses sharp, more because they were out alone as a small group in the desert and there was no telling what might pop up. Just incase he went ahead and tied his bandana around the back of his head to help against any sand.

Making a smirk at the joke that came over comms, Dus flipped open the comm channel. "I expect your bad jokes will kill us long before we reach any Krayt Dragons. They are just not that Krayt." He shot back with a crap eating grin over the comms as he scanned the horizon which for the moment was nice and clear. Still this was tattoine, where scum and villany always abounded so his hands did not stray far from his weapons.

There was another in the wasteland. There somewhere the Elder Kashi known as Garith Darkhold. Where was the Elder’s exact location? The location was unknown but his presence was not hidden.

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra smiled at them with a wide grin, almost wolfish in nature as her teeth shown and she looked a tad more excited than a normal person. She could feel the strands of the force shift, the way the living force flowed around her altered and the dark blades carving into the Force was almost too noticeable considering what was being done. Her feet pushed her into a wider gait, trying to reach the creature that now lit up like a beacon in the force and was coming their way. It was still a tad too far away for her to bother drawing any of her weapons but this did give her a good idea on what she was facing.

Her hands did tighten on the staff she walked with, the long metal rod clearly meant for combat and seemed to have no sharp edges to speak of. It was something left over from her days with the sith and when she was still in her echani body, the thought causing her to grab at a strand of hair and think on the subject. She did miss her old body, even if it had been physically weaker, it still was her body, this body wasn't. It was simply a replacement she had not been allowed to choose or know about until she was already in the damned thing. The thought caused her hand to grip a bit tighter for a moment before remembering the others and loosing her hand on the rod.

"Hey, you, Mando Boy." She smiled at Nolan, seeing the newest member of the group and smiling back at him. The fact she looked like she hadn't aged a day from the last time [member="Nolan Detta"] had seen her would likely be a surprise considering that had been some years ago before the akala incident itself and the strange happenings surrounding that event. "Been a while since we last saw each other mando boy, how you been."

She kept in mind [member="Dusaro Dresari"], [member="Rapax"], and [member="Muad Dib"]. She knew now why Maud in particular looked familiar and her smile was just as wide for that fact. A million credit bounty was something interesting, and coming to Tatooine at that was gutsy. But Krayt Dragons were a rather rare sight on other planets so she shrugged off that line of questioning in her mind. Right now she wondered if others were on the man's track, curious as to who might already be watching and laying in wait for the man. The thought made her excited as it might bring a bit more entertainment than she had originally intended for there to be.

Rarely did she get to see fighting these days, too much time around the Jedi and not enough among those who are more inclined to battle. That Echani blooded part of her itched for fighting, and the dark spirit in her head didn't help as it whispered for Alex to give it control, to let it have some fun and the smile faltered a bit into something more sadistic, a change hidden as she had turned her head forward by now. The air was already tainted by the dark, giving her more and more interest in simply abandoning command of her body for Hel, but at the same time, she had a dragon to hunt down.

She missed the old days when she was a Sith sometimes. Back then she could just send some unfortunate apprentice to get the pearl for her.

Little did she know, someone was just crawling around setting mines.

Continuing his move forward, Vokun approached the group whom hunted. He paused atop a large mound on the horizon. His was an essence undetectable, with a power active that made the corporeal just as untouched. Thus he did not crouch, nor move to hide. This was a man so actively potent in an ability, that it was comparable to a first timer approaching a master chess player of decades expertise.

With the honed vision of a Vampirika, the overhead sun beat down upon him as if piercing his skull. Were it not for the potent alchemical sunscreen, as well as the jacket he would be set aflame. However at present it just meant his form was weakened, his sense of sight bombarded. Though this too was a situational mastery he possessed - utilizing pain to drive his body, his actions, beyond what would be acceptable.

"Alexandra.." Zaiden murmured. He didn't channel the Force to carry the words, simply knowing she would hear him. Even over the distance. She was a potent Master herself, capable in just as many ways, "I am here for Muad. As are others." He paused, glancing at the dragons circling nearby.

"I warn you now, because you are an ally, a friend." Vokun murmured, his eyes still on the powerful forms, "I can't say what will be done by the others, but I am not as I once was. I am not here to kill. I am here to bring balance. What Muad has done, and will do, needs its opposing force to bring said balance.

"I do not ask for help, that is not your job to give it." Finally he turned his gaze back to the group, "I simply ask that should you choose not to move on him, that you stay out of the way. Kill the dragon. Take your pearl. I will utilize the death you provide."

Undead. They were at a time his go to prowess. Not any longer. But it did not mean he could not reanimate them, control them. He would use the dragons slain near. They would bombard the Mad Knight. All the while, he would slip in for a finishing blow.

Thanks to the stolen Force Walking knowledge, and the power bound to him by the Master of the Force Damien, it would be within range to animate the corpses and more. Yet still pose a vast threat as himself.

"Do not look for me, you know my powers have returned. I am sure you sense it. I wish you luck in the hunt to come." At that Vokun went silent once more. Now he began to leech power from Damien, as well as the Force.

When did a hunt become more then just a hunt? A simple excursion for a Krayt Dragon and pearls. But it seemed as though the Galaxy had other things in store for the Mad Knight. Pausing in their path forward he dropped to one knee for a moment. The force swirled around, little ebbs of tide that spoke of a wave coming. Closing his eyes he breathed in deeply allowing his connection to the force to amplify his senses and awareness.

Many being moved in the sands today. Perhaps more were just outside of his view through the force, but flashes in his minds eye along the peripherals nudged at him. Feeling the current of the force run through and around everything he sensed the altered course of the naturally flowing force through and around them all. Some things or some beings were altering the flow, siphoning from it's power. And this spoke of danger.

Rising with a smirk upon his face he closed the gap between himself and the group as they moved through the desert. Ahead he sensed the beast as surely the other force wielder had. Cresting the dune he paused taking in the sight of a Krayt dragon, several dunes away, breaching his own dune top. Activating the rangefinder he saw they were still some distance from the beast. But the battle would soon be joined.

Grinning in anticipation his hands flexed wanting the feel of a weapon in each as he charged the animal. But he wasn't here alone. They were a group, allies in the hunt for the beast, and coming together mean t sharing the glory and the danger. He laughed as he spoke over the external speakers.

"Oya, I'll take that bet Nolan. But be warned mate, I can drink."
