Private Staring Into The Abyss

Information logs, more or less. The generalized testing phases to take Koboh Matter and properly infuse it with the Force. And mention of it's purpose. A free acting metal to fuse with the next key bearer, to only be limited by his imagination in the forms it could take. Thought and intent would make it work, so long as there was no doubt or panic behind it.

Which for Aris was a simple metal rod right now. He idly spun it in a hand, watching as it moved and shifted. It pulsed like it was alive at times, but for the most part kept still like steel.

".. Okay this is kinda cool."

So now they had their answer!

"Oh, so you can manipulate it like my solid light hologram tools from my bracelet," Zaiya exclaimed, wonder rippling over her delicate features in excitement and avid curiosity.

"That is so-o cool," she added, focusing on downloading the information into her holographic datapad connected to one of her cuffs. "You can probably manipulate it to be different things depending on what you need then!"

A thought came to her, sending a kaleidoscope of colors and glow effects rippling over her mottled spots.

"I wonder if it is resistant to anything like Phrik is to lightsabers..."
A sudden thought came to her, and she glanced over to him.

"Wanna try and see?" rare for the Lovalla to offer using her saber, but that wouldn't be an issue if all they were doing were testing it out to see how it did against a saber.

He could shape it?

Aris hummed in thought, looking over the rod. Sure enough, it'd shift according to his thoughts, this time into a mirror of the knife he kept in his boot. A smile formed as he looked it over before his focus shifted back to Zaiya. And his eyes seemed to sparkle all over again. Was it lightsaber proof? Could it resist being cut? He nodded quickly, perhaps too eager as he lifted the dagger now shifting back into a staff again metallic weapon.

"Let's give it a shot. I think that'd be good if it was, certainly."

"Okay that is too cool that it can reshape itself again... I wonder if it is almost like Laminanium..." she pondered aloud, thinking of the self healing metal.

Zaiya gave a giggle snort. While Aris wasn't one for vivid expressions, she could tell that he was a little too excited to try this out.

"Okay, let me ignite my saber," She told him, which was a bit amusing in hindsight. The Lovalla very, very rarely ever ignited her saber, preferring to try other methods of incapacitation than using it. Zaiya took a few steps back to ensure she wouldn't hurt Aris, and unclipped the lightsaber hilt from her hip. Getting into a standard position, she pressed the ignition button.

The teal blue blade ignited with a snap-hiss and a calming thrum. With extra care, Zaiya held out the teal blade in an angle that would allow Aris to try and test out if the metal was lightsaber resistant.

"If it isn't... well, seems like you can reshape it anyways! So it shouldn't be an issue I think." The Lovalla added, her mind already going through the various tests they could try, much like what she did for creating the prototypes she made for Aris.

It was a simple enough test. Aris reached the rod out to tap the saber at first, to be careful with it, and sure enough, lightsaber proof. It crackled against the energy, but kept it shape, kept itself from burning. He grinned from ear to ear then, pulling it away before focusing. The metal shifted, moving over is arm to cling again to his skin to rest.

".. Okay this is really cool. I- can't help myself on how cool this is. But- we should probably get going right? There's no telling where there might be something that'll come back to us like the beast from before."

Aris's giddy excitement was infectious; it made him all the more adorable when he stumbled over his words in excitement at seeing that the shape-shifting metal was lightsaber resistant.

"Haha... okay. Well, one test down," Zaiya replied with a chuckle, deactivating her saber with a soft click and hum. She rehooked it to her belt before giving the rest of the lab a good look.

"Yeah, let's go. Let me double check just in case if there is anything in here we may need and then let's get back to the ship." plus, she really wanted to get his tacky, tar covered boot off. She should have a change of clothes on the shuttle.

"Once we are in hyperspace, we can try working through a few more tests like the sort I do with my prototypes to see what else the metal can do; read through what I've downloaded."

Another thought came to her.

"Huh, I wonder if Vera or anyone else in your family can use it too. Could be neat to find out." As always, the Lovalla shone with a ripple of curious and contemplative shifts of colors and hues as she voiced her thoughts aloud.

Having Zaiya ever be quiet for too long was a rarity indeed.

The others, huh?

Aris nodded once. That was something to figure out, certainly. But he was much more excited with the idea of testing this out more. Zaiya clearly had some thoughts on how to go about the actual testing. Good. He'd end up leading the way out then, making sure to keep an eye and ear out for Mogu and the like. There was still lots to explore, and now he had two of the catalysts.

"Lots to figure out, right? We'll get it all set one step at a time."
