Who plays it, and what do you think?
I personally think it's an excellent game, and one of the best zombie games I've ever played, especially the Breakdown mode.
My only real complaints are the camera, which can get annoying and problematic at times, and that there's little variation between the stages of Breakdown.
Other than that, it's an excellent game in my opinion.

I loved the game when I played it initally, however the sequel seems to be stuck in a state of developemental decay

It's really a shame.
From what little I've read, it seemed like SoD 2 was going to include multiplayer; which I think would put the game up to epic proportions.

I've heard that too, it sounds like it'd have been a leg breaking good time (Get it? Cause you...hit zombies...with blunt objects..or sharp ones...and break their legs...sometimes..)
