Still Waters (Silvers, all others PM)

Reaching a state of meditation was fairly easy for Jolyn. The years spent on Tython under One Sith control were years of intense moments of action with months of planning and waiting in between. When not helping with planning and executing the resistance to One Sith rule, she spent long periods of time meditating. It was necessary to keep despair and anger from capturing her mind.

Once in the meditative state, she reached out with her mind and touched the crystal in her hands. She mentally felt its edges and facets, gently explored its interior, and familiarizing herself with its aura.

When the droids appeared, her eyes widened slightly, and she almost lost her connection to the meditative state and the crystal. She spent a moment focusing on calm breathing, and dropped her consciousness back into her center as she spread her legs to shoulder width and lowered her body into a horse stance. She unfocused her eyes, letting her other senses and Force sense extend out to feel the droids along with the crystal in her hands. She patiently waited for the droids to move.

Ostdern Mastogar

Guest
These waves did not work for Ostdern. Pain and suffering from his past life began to overtake him like wildfire. This is exactly why he hated that he was Force Sensitive, he couldn't stay away from pain. Standing up he began to punch a rock wall with all his might. Bloodying his fists he kept on punching, saying vulgar language that was sent towards the people that killed his family. At long last he was done and, with fists bleeding heavily, he returned to the circle and began to cry again. Taking the crystal from his pocket he attempted to meditate again. This time was much easier than the last. He could achieve something, but it wasn't too clear yet. Ostdern would learn more about this but for now at least he had something.

The Hutt Padawan took the remote in his hand thoughtfully, grasping the small black device in his stubby hand. "Of course, Master." He gave a confused look to [member="Akio Diachi"], quickly hiding it with an appreciative grin, quickly turning to concern again as he heard hard punching.

Tyyni looked on, worried, as [member="Ostdern Mastogar"] took his rage out on a wall, even after Master Diachi tried to calm him. Eventually, the Padawan settled, but it didn't help to relieve his mood. Pain was often what Tyyni tried to escape by meditation. To feel pain while trying to meditate... what a cruel fate.

Tyyni calmed himself yet again, focusing on the new crystal. He threw it ahead of him, letting the Force catch it, feeling his weak connection to it growing. With a confirmatory nod to all around him, Tyyni pressed his thumb against the button, and hoped for the best.

Tyyni jumped as the biots emerged from the woodworks, each armed with an electrostaff, flaring with purple energy as they were activated. The Huttlet had heard of biots, of course, and he had witnessed the Silver Jedi train with them, but he had never gone up against one himself. Now is my chance, I suppose.

Tyyni let his lightsaber levitate into his hand, activating a strong blue glow. The blade was short, but wide, compliments of the Solari crystal resting inside. The lightsaber flickered slightly as Tyyni activated it, and he frowned, before the glow became constant again. He faced off against the biot in front of him, twirling the blade around him in usual Soresu flair.

The Hutt began to float off of the ground as he let himself get immersed in the meditation crystal. He closed his eyes, feeling the ebb and flow of the Force within him. Then, his Soresu position shifted.

The Hutt grasped his blade with both hands, keeping it as a slight angle to his body. He smiled peacefuly as he quickly floated forward, levitating higher than the droid. His body writhed and curled like a snake through water before slashing down in typical Ataru fashion, eyes closed, mind at peace.

Blessed are the peacemakers
He felt....a floating sensation. A gentle caressing wind overtook him, as he took hold of the crystal. Even the rageful [member="Ostdern Mastogar"] couldn't deter him from his peaceful, near-vegetative state. If the force was a liquid, Darin had fallen into the river of it, surrounded by it. Calming, soothing, it caressed him. He had no great peril in life, no great struggles that he had to overcome. He was a Jedi, at peace with the galaxy with the crystal in his hand. He crossed his legs, folding them under him. He began to levitate, entranced by the crystal and the depth in which it allowed him to delve into the force.

He opened his eyes after a long while, at ease and at rest.

Jolyn felt through the Force as one of the other padawans fell to the pain within their mind as they tried to enter the meditative state. Then she felt another, the Hutt padawan, begin to combat the droid before him. As she closed her eyes, she felt the waves in the Force as the Hutt moved through the air in an Ataru sequence as if he had been born to the air. Quite a feat, in her mind.

Reaching out with her mind, the meditation crystal resting in both hands lightly, yet strongly within her mind, Jolyn felt the droid before her advance. It reached the edge of what would have been her measure, had she held her saberstaff, then pause. The droid had correctly calculated her striking distance, and was probably processing her threat stature based on the fact that she wasn't yet holding the weapon. She felt it move closer cautiously, not a stupid automaton that would advance until it was struck or able to strike. Still, she breathed in and out slowly, letting a smile play across her lips as she fell deeper into the Force.

Like lightning, the Droid struck out, flashing a kick to her leading leg's knee. If it connected, she had no doubt that her leg would be taken out from under her. In her mind's eye, she saw the sequence. Her knee would buckle, the droids toe would hook behind the buckled knee and pull. The droids foot would connect with the ground in an almost mirror of her horse stance as it struck out at her with it's fist, aiming for her solar plexus and an easily debilitating strike that wouldn't seriously injure her.

People often say that the wisest people never seem affected by change because they forsaw it and changed with it. Jolyn moved with the Force, she slipped her leading leg in and forward, moving into the strike of the droid. Her thigh touched the thigh of the droid as it quickly tried to recalculate. Jolyn wasn't done, however. She slid the leading foot behind the solidly place rear foot of the droid, then deepened her horse stance and twisted with her hips. The droid tried to grapple her shoulders, but a quick twist on the same trajectory of her hips and a shoulder shove defused the grapple and moved the droid back. Gyros whined and arms twirled in kind as the droid was planted on its butt. Jolyn had not stopped moving. She followed her forward movements and turned lithely on the balls of her feet to face the droid still. Her eyes still closed, and the smile still gracing her lips.
