Stirring Up an Anthill

Ra watched as the creatures moved about their daily lives, noticing they were all on edge and wary. Almost jumping at shadows. As sunset started to fall, Ra sensed she herself was going to be made prey and a slow constrictor made its way down the tree she was under.

She looked at it as it slithered its way down the tree and taking out her blaster, Ra let out a single shot that sounded like thunder in the silence of the area. The blaster was not set to stun, but full blast and should easily kill the snake.

The comstrictor exploded bone and meat chunks, showering her and the immediate area with blood and gore. Its intact lower half fell to the ground, writhing in the mud as dying nerves gave it a like like appearance. The blast wasn't muffled and sound would travel far in low heat. The smell of burned ion amd roasted flesh filled her senses as flock of birds took to the air in panic. Any animals at the watering hole at the time, had bolted for their lives and she seemed to be all alone. For how much longer, that was uncertain as the sun continued its descent over the horizon.

Ra did wiped the worst of the gore off herself with more of the dirt of the planet to cover her scent again. However, if one creature had found her, others might too. Deciding it might be best, she left the spot she had been hiding and moved a little in the other direction. It was still downwind from the water so any new animals would not smell her. Also in leaving the first spot, most of her scent would be there and the predators might explore it before following her trail to her current location.

The sound of the shot alerted the pride to presence of interlopers on their land. Night Terror had them split up and scout the watering hole, then once the felines were gone, it climbed up the foliage and then slowly made its way across the treetops to find its prey.

Ra watched as different cats explored the watering hole, but none could have been the one she was hunting for if what the wookkies had said was true. She felt through the Force as they left and in which direction they headed. Just as night fell, they were grouped up as if waiting for something. It was then, Ra felt a lone cat stalking through the tops of the trees.

How such a large cat could logically stay at the tops, she had no idea, but did not question her senses. Almost as smoothly as the cat in the trees, Ra moved out from under them and more into the clearing.

Her hands on the hilts of her knives, at the ready for this struggle to begin.

Like silent death she watched from treetops, fuzzy tongue licking her lips in anticipation of sinking teeth in soft sweet meat and tasting the salty spray of blood. Long razor sharp claws tapped on the wood, as her tail flicked away lingering flies. Golden orbs watched in wary amusement as her prey headed to the clearing.

The open ground offered no cover and was exposed to all sides, which made no sense at all to the predator. Reaching out to the pride, they began to circle their prey, neither getting too close nor allowing her to escape completely. Unless she attacked them first, they would slowly box her in towards a corpse of trees that formed a rough triangular like temple.

Sensing the movements of the cats, Ra anticipated what they were doing, but stood her ground. They going to try and herd her in a direction, likely to then gang up on her once she arrived. She made no move for her weapons as of yet since they had not yet approached. Ra observed each of them through the Force, including the one still in the tree.

The open ground offered her no cover, but that was fine since it didn't give any to the cats either.

The felines snarled and bared fangs in her direction when she stood her ground, forming two groups on either side, just out of reach of her weapons as the circled slowly in. It was clear they would probably gang rush her once they were in position, relying on sheer numbers to ovewhelm her defenses and expose weaknesses to exploit.

The cats hopefully did not anticipate the fact Ra would have more than physical weapons at her disposal. She watched as they circled and snarled at her, if and when they did try to gang rush and attack her, she would send out a Force wave hurling them away. Some hopefully to be hurt by the momentum of the push. Those that were not hurt, she would attempt use persuasion on and have them attack another of their pride. That was one skill she had used for a very long time before ever knowing of the Force and was really strong at.

The felines tried to box her as best they could, before they simultaneously rushed in from either side. To the uninitiated that would have been avery sight indeed as the cats were embodiment for pure muscled aggression. The mass of claws and teeth coming her way would definitely test her courage and mettle in ways they haven't had in the past.
