Strike Up [Kath, open]

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
Ord Mantell

This planet was one of the few Jack enjoyed visiting. Not well organized, a massive junkyard of a planet, and pirates everywhere. It was a place where he could murder someone and get little to no heat for it. What kind of person doesn't enjoy a place like that? The everyday normal guy, but Jack was not that guy.

Jack moved through the streets with a nice pacing. He wasn't in a hurry. He was just visiting the planet to get a drink and get some new equipment. Plans change though, as Jack knew very well. His mind suddenly shifted when a certain garage grabbed his attention. He didn't really know why but he found himself strolling into it, casually with his hands in his pockets. Even on a planet like this he kept his clean appearance.

He looked around for a moment, finding no one in the garage. He stopped somewhat in the center of the room and cleared his dry throat. "Anyone home?"

Kath Thrinn was underneath of a land speeder, a toolbox open next to her. Currently, she was fiddling with a sensitive part of the vehicle, the Epicanthix's full attention focused on her task. Nothing outside of that small space on the ground of her garage, her tongue ticking out of the side of her mouth.
This level of concentration is exactly why that voice calling out caused her to yelp in surprise and bang her head on the bottom of the speeder.
"Son of a Sith!" She cured loudly, scooting out from under the speeder, rubbing her head.
She slowly stood to her full height, the giant teenager glaring at [member="Jack Ross"].
"Don't karking sneak up on me like that!" She snapped, looking him up and down. "I could've blown a fuse on the speeder! Then where would we be?!"

Vinskk stepped into a cantina, the Drunken Bantha, stepping over the unconscious body of an inebriated man to take a seat. Business had been growing for the Trandoshan recently. He sold nearly 100 prime Wookiee males just on Ord Mantell to a Hutt whose name was unmemorable but whose credits were top of the line. Vinskk sat down and ordered a juma juice, on the rocks. He decided to relax a bit, and spend some cash for fun for the first time in a while. Why not? He sure as hell earned it. Those Wookiees were not easy to acquire. He allowed himself to sink into a mind of peace for a little bit, letting the seedy area around him fade away. After all, hardly anyone would be stupid enough to take on the huge Trandoshan in the corner.

"I don't believe in good or evil."
He didn't move but just smirked as the young girl started yelling at him. He examined her a quick moment before turning and looking around her garage. "Nice place," he started. "You run it alone?" he asked, now facing her with his hands behind his back.

He couldn't help but keep a grin on his face. She was angered with him and it was amusing. He glanced over at the speeder and walked over. "If this thing blew well," he trailed off. "Let's just say I wouldn't mind it."

Kath narrowed her grey eyes at [member="Jack Ross"], watching as he walked over to the speeder. The teenager scratched her nose, carefully watching his movements.
"I do, yeah." She answered. "Business isn't great, but I do what I can."
She raised her eyebrows at his comment, crossing her arms.
"Well, I would. I like being uninjured, and repairs are expensive. I should know."
Who the kark was this this guy? He gave off a bit of a creepy vibe, and the Epicanthix shuffled uncomfortably.

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
He walked back over and stood before her, about three feet away. He reached into his coat and pulled out a death stick and held it up slightly. "Mind?" He waited for her reply. He looked around some more and nodded. "A teen like you must've done something big to take this place over."

He was making small talk. He didn't care too much for how she got possession over this joint. Nor did he care much about her. But he was always drawn to certain places and people, he could feel a sense that they weren't normal or average. He was a professional. He wanted to meet other 'professionals', whatever that meant.

As [member="Jack Ross"] took out a deathstick, and asked for her permission, Kath shrugged and nodded her assent.
Her clients did spice in here, why should she care if one guy smoked a deathstick?
"I inherited it, actually. From my mother."
Her eyes glanced over to the spot where her mother had been killed, a blaster mark still on the wall.
Painting was expensive.
"My name is Kath."
She stuck her hand out in greetings, her grip unusually strong,
"You?"

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
He light the death stick and started smoking it. As he exhaled the smoke into the air he extended his hand forward. "Jack. Jack Ross," he said, offering for her to shake his hand. "Call me Jack or Mister Pink, up to you." His eye ever so slightly twitched at the name of Pink. He ignored it and started pacing again.

Walking over to the speeder he leaned against it, purposely dropping some of the ash leaking from his death stick onto the ground next to it. As he inhaled and exhaled once more he used his other hand to slick his hair back. "So you're an engineer?"
