"I feel like over the life of the Jedi Order, there have been a lot of revisions to what we are Jedi are supposed to be focused on and upholding. Being a Jedi is not a static state that never changes. We have to be adaptable and fluid to the changes in the galaxy around us. So yes, the code is important. However, if we cling to an archaic tenet with no room to interpret it to our current lives, then we are no better than the Sith."
She tented her fingers, feeling the delicate push of the pads of her fingers as she tapped gently. It was a grounding technique Master Venci had been teaching her. Something to help her not be so wound up all the time.
"We have to trust in vision of the Council, of our Masters, in the spirit of what it means to be a Jedi. To have mercy and compassion. To have love for all life. To have those things, we have to have emotions. They are a part of us and something we have to understand so that we are not clouded by them. But outright denying them is just asking for trouble."
