- Accessibility: It's a secret facility at the bottom of an obscure lake on a forgotten backwater planet. Its existence is known only to the handful of people who worked closely with the alchemist Rave Merrill at one point or another.
- Security: The laboratory's primary defenses are secrecy and the ferocious native Sithspawn of Lake Krul. However, Rave added the following defenses.
Sith runes that mimic Alema Rar's 'slippery presence' - the facility is difficult for passers-by to notice or remember. - A group of Qo'saarai Tuk'ata caretakers, who serve as Knight-level alchemical assistants and guards at their own discretion. If the laboratory is ever trashed by visitors or creatures, the Qo'saarai Tuk'ata will soon restore it.

POINTS OF INTEREST
- Residence: Comfortable space for a primary alchemist, two esteemed guests, and as many as a dozen retainers.
- Alchemical laboratory. Focused on biological alchemy, with an eye to learning from the spontaneous alchemical mutations of Lake Krul. This laboratory is for prototyping, not for raising gigantic broods. The Rave Holocron is known to appear here between owners.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Rave Merrill constructed this laboratory at the height of AEI's power, before her presumed death and long before her actual death. She built the facility as a private refuge and a small-scale biological alchemy site. Some of the Qo'saarai Tuk'ata uplift research took place here. She found the location convenient for a variety of reasons, including privacy, convenience to the Mara Corridor, and access to the Shrine of Krul. The laboratory was never a real home or personal sanctuary, but she found it useful more than once. At one point it housed the Dark Forge of Aza'zoth, the most powerful alchemical forge in history.
Knowledge of the laboratory's existence vanished with Rave. A few former associates had access to versions of her private files, however, and those files contained clues to the laboratory's location. The laboratory contains copies of those files, at least in part. Mara Merrill found the laboratory while struggling with the Dark Side, but gained little understanding from the visit.
