There's a brand new dance
Now, that was the third time that her ship came out of hyperspace early. Looking at the modified N-1s controls, she shook her head. What was going on. Biting her lip, she leaned back into the seat and read the texts that were translated from Mack’s particular binary language. Dani shook her head. “I know buddy, the course was laid in right. I saw it all three times, its good.” She knew this course, it was simple, a two system jump for the race.
What she didn’t know was why she couldn’t even come up with a work around. As a racer, she needed to think beyond the track, and normally? It was a skill she had. The best local star charts her station could buy, after all. Was it a Force thing? Or just a reading the track? She didn’t know.
That was why she was returning back to Naboo. That happened, what, a few days ago?
The Naboo had dispatched a navigator team out to the track, and they were mapping… Or trying to. One navigator, a second, and a member of Shiraya. And that third one? A whole lot of nightmares. Or psychosis.
Dani had received a call, through her channel as being the one who reported the disturbance, and because, well, she was technically in the Order, but never showed up for anything and they were hoping for fodder, she assumed. It was why she was here… Actually taking the second option.
The meeting was brief. Hyperspace around Naboo and the Royal Republic’s suburbs was degrading? It was causing issues on even the most simple of lane. But things the Shiraya that was dispatched did point to a small epicenter, an island of Bestine, but the star charts? They were all sorts of karked, and the team was loaded up to a ship that was flying by droid navigator to make sure nothing went wrong.
Water world. Of course it was, but the islands were the goal. And Dani was being lead from the ship with the rest. As she felt the air from the planet, there was a cold, almost ghostly undertone in the air. She reached for the Force, something she didn’t do as naturally as others, but even she could tell it was wrong…
