Sundevall Cantina Grand Opening!

At the entrance to the cantina there was a small commotion as several stern looking Weequay guards entered. They instructed the doormen with hissing whispers and shortly afterwards both doors were pushed open allowing the larger shape of Sempra the Hutt enter. Sempras entourage of slaves and guards were getting a bit numerous and they spread out across the room with Sempras good grace. He did however keep enough personal attendants to make sure he had all his needs satisfied.

Sempra paused half way inside swaying his large head as if searching for someone.

"Ah, Captain Cadan... there you are. " he declared as [member="Cadan Tazi"] exited the backroom.

"I beg my pardon for being late to your opening evening. Bussiness keeps me busy as they say... " he chuckled and made a gesture of helplessness toward Tazi.

"But I rushed here as fast as I could, and now I wish to spend my credits in your fine establishment. I wish you much wealth and prosperity!" he declared and held out a hand to a waitress recieving a chalice. He held it toward Cadan and toasted.

Kerkov walked in to the freshly opened bar with a wide grin on his face. The cantina was bustling with people, either drinking in celebration or trying to find something to celebrate to. He had familiarized himself with [member="Cadan Tazi"], Cadan was a captain in the OCA and he owed him very much for joining. Recently, the Bakura incident had made it hard for recruitment and Kerkov was worried some of his own would leave the OCA for that blasted Admiral [member="Jaster of clan Awaud"]. But the little incursion that had incured in front of him with the heavy man, Jaster, and Cadan had made Kerkov even happier with Cadan than he was before.

After Cadan had left the backroom he walked up to him and tossed him a chip worth a hundred credits and asked, "Would you mind if I join him in there? Also congratulations on the new cantina and thanks for socking one to him."

[member="Flannigan Mcnash"]

Cadan scratched his bold head. "For the beating? Best wait a few moments Admiral." Cadan slapped an arm around Kerkov's shoulders and led him to the bar to get a drink, then we saw Sempra enter.

Boy was Cadan busy. With the large form of Sempra moving about and now Grand Admiral Kerkov. "Thanks to the both of you. Drinks are free for the both of you tonight!" He raised his glass, before he drank down the liquid. Cadan took a step closer to Sempra and spoke in a hushed tone. "Sempra my dear friend, you know for safety is of our highest concern, but your small armarda are not needed, remembered that this is our city." But Cadan shook the thought aside. "Baah, never mind, any extra guns are welcome. Just if you plan on killing someone, do it outside."

"How goes the OCA Admiral?" Cadan didn't quite understand politic, but in his mind he was thinking that maybe just maybe he could get the Hutt Cartel and the OCA to work together.

[member="William Kerkov"] [member="Sempra the Hutt"]

"Ah the OCA? How good of you to ask, we are heading quite strong. I have started a contract for more ships for the OCA, A few mercenary contracts here and there. But I have run into a slight problem with recruitment, but I hope me and Flannigan can work it out."

Kerkov
answered as he sat at the bar. He ordered from the nearest bartender,

"Anything non-alcoholic, surprise me. And a cigarra if you wouldn't mind."

Kerkov then looked at Cadan,

"Would you mind if I had a smoke?"

[member="Cadan Tazi"]

Cadan quickly pulled a cigar from his top pocket and quickly passed it towards Kerkov. "Just no killing people."

Cadan nodded. "We've hit a dead end with recruiting as well. And as you know, we are always willing to lend a hand."

Jaster started to rub his head, the blurs were wavering and his sight was returning. Truth of the matter was he didn't care much for the OCA, hell, he'd have a contract for them if plans went according, but there were problems.

"You gata understand Flannigan," Jaster reached for his flask, to realize he didn't have it on him, great, "I've got a business to run, my private Armada is throwing a fit after your friend kill my most loyal supporters, I've got mutiny on the horizon unless I kill his fleet, or he, I don't know, joins the Hutts," Jaster knew if [member="William Kerkov"] was to pick a large enough client like the Hutts, then Jaster couldn't touch them. That would give him enough time to gain more loyal supporters and keep the mutiny off until he went to war.

"I'm heading into the unknown region, I need my Corporate Armada and Private Police in tip top shape," he leaned back, "can't do that with 20 of my most elite soldiers dead, so either your friend dies, or he finds bigger badder friends to discourage my crew, it's not a threat really, I just need to look tough." Jaster sat up to puff his chest like he was a big bad man. Jokingly he lowered himself to lean against the chair again.

Kerkov gladly accepted it, "Of course, I keep my hands as clean as a fresh starship out of the factory. Well the only way the Jackals could is by getting more members of yours to join us, but some of them just don't seem so interested."

Kerkov took a small puff,

"But if you could get anyone I would gladly take them. If you have seen the recent news on the OCA's holonet, we have to many ships in need of CO's."

[member="Cadan Tazi"]

"Jaster, that incident you had with the OCA, it wasn't any of my business. Me and them have an understanding, they offer me naval contracts I help them, but they don't give often and I like more. But when I think of you I think of the station you provided for us, and the two million that got us off the ground. Don't think me ungrateful but our break down in communication troubles me, our contracts and supply line broke down with you, we weren't getting enough credits, we had to search else where, make friends. To be honest the station is costing us credits to maintain and it serves a purpose that could be replaced for half its maintenance."

It was a sceptical look, sharp as a scalpel and just as unsympathetic with whom it cut. "I'll have him back down, and I'll push for him to join the Cartel."

[member="Jaster of clan Awaud"]

Sempra leaned forward somewhat letting Cadan reach his ear as [member="Cadan Tazi"] leaned in and whispered to the hutt. With a humming sound Sempra then nodded and replied.

"Captain Tazi, these creatures are yours to throw out. I trust you are most capable of handling the security of this cantina without problems." Sempra shrugged and waved toward the Weequay guard heading for the bar or tables around the cantina. "But mind you - anything they buy I will pay for." Sempra teased and gave Cadan a strong squeeze on his shoulder. Behind Sempra a rough looking gamorean grunted beside [member="Ka-Aver"] whom Sempra did not seem to wish to dismiss as easily.

"Now, I can see that you have many important guests to attend. Perhaps strike a bussiness deal or two... eh.. " Sempra chuckled and nodded toward the admiral. He then started to move forward to a corner table where his slaves moved some chairs aside to allow him the space needed.

He did really like Flannigan, him and the jackals saved Jaster millions as they stored clear of his transports. In exchange Jaster gave competitors trade lines. Though Jaster no longer had any competitors so the communication did slow to a stop. It was business and Jaster could understand them wanting to stay with the OCA, good fleet of good size was always hard to come by. He should know, he had 3 fleets to bother with and private police. Plus this was out of kindness of their past relations. Without their help, Jaster wouldn't be sitting on the hill he now stood.

Future investment in the Hutt Cartel was showing the same promise. He hoped that this little squabble that his crew had with them was soon to be over. There were more problems on the horizon Jaster needed to deal with before things could get better.

"Thank you, I don't need problems on opposite sides of the Galaxy at the same time," Jaster reached into his satchel and pulled out a data pad, "I don't know if your in need of personel, places, or just the credits, but again I'm indebted to you, so need anything just give me a call." The datapad had his contact data on a specialized line, only access, Unknown Region.

Cadan nodded his understanding to Sempra. "Thankyou for making it here."

Cadan then turned to Kerkov. "I sure will send them your way my friend. Now please continue your drinks and if you need me I will be somewhere." Cadan wave his arms about gesturing to around his cantina.

Soon a few armed men entered the cantina and began to remove the body, dragging it outside to an alley and dumping it.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] [member="William Kerkov"]

"Thank you Cadan, I owe you many."

Kerkov smoked his cigarra 'til it's contents diminished. After finishing the small stick, he squished what was left into a small dish full of burnt smoke stick buds. Kerkov then walked over to [member="Sempra the Hutt"], with a thought in his mind. As he reached him he asked,

"Currently the OCA is deficient in men and contracts, if you can provide either I would be very interested."

[member="Cadan Tazi"]

Sempra was allowing a slave correct his thick golden neck chain as the Admiral approached. With a slight nod of recognition he listened at the admirals Word, then he let the slave finish up and dissmissed her giving [member="William Kerkov"] his full attention.

"You are the admiral of the freelance fleet, the Open Circle Armada?" Kerkov, yes?" Sempra began, more as a statement than an actual question.

He rose over the table letting his newly adjusted necklace fall down upon his broad chest.

"You realise who I am and what I represent Admiral?" Sempras Eyes narrowed as he observed the man in front of him.

"If so - what do you have to offer me in terms of services and what type of recruits are you looking for?"

"Yes I am. And I believe you are the owner of the new Hutt Cartel, shame they keep losing power every so often. But I can help that if you invest in the OCA. If you look on the holonet at this address, you will find our services, prices, and fleet consistency. And recruits? Welll any man or woman willing to lead a ship or group of men into battle is fine enough."

Kerkov stood there for a few seconds to let that last comment sink in.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]

Sempra chuckled as he pushed in the adress on his datapad.

"You are a proud and self confident man admiral." the hutt mused. "I'll pay your fleet to do my bidding Admiral. I am a bussiness man myself and understands the necessity to keep things flowing in the right direction."

Sempra looked down on the datapad once more and pressed a new adress which he dislpayed for [member="William Kerkov"]

"On these coordinates you will find a small space station. I belive it is of an older date and its defence in need of modernisation. I can not promise it wont defend itself but it is well within the scope of what your fleet can handle." Sempra grabbed his pipe and took a few deep puffs watching the admiral.

"Will you destroy it for me?"

Sempras features brightenee.

"Delightful. I am sure this will be the beginning of a fruitful cooperation. the hutt answered.

"Go prepare your ships and the coordinates will be sent to you shortly." he finished and turned to his datapad starting to eagerly write something on it.
