PHYSICAL INFORMATION
- Age: 51
- Force Sensitivity: Yes - Untrained
- Species: Epicanthix
- Appearance: Mallear is the spitting image of a model imperial soldier who takes pride in his appearance. True to his namesake earned even among the large epicanthix he stands at a truly massive height eclipsing eight feet. When the rare occasions arises that he's out of armor his impressive physique is put on display, a powerful muscular body that looks as if he was a statue chiseled out of stone and then given life. The man's entire form is covered from head to toe in scars from the innumerable battlefields he's served on.
The one thing that would set him apart from all the rest is the intricate tattoos that cover his body interwoven with sith runes. This culminates in large black blade tattoo in the center of his back with the dimly glowing word Inamsi, meaning Chosen in High Sith written down the blade that forever marks him as one of the legendary last remaining, original class of Blackblade Guard known as Gorebound.
Mallear takes good care of his appearance choosing to keep his face clean shaven, his natural gray almost white hair cut short in a military style cut. There is a profound claw scar on the right side of his head earned after surviving a vicious attack while defending the life of [member="Darth Carnifex"] early on in his career.
As an ex-Blackblade Mallear prefers to wear his heavily modified Blackblade Mk. IV armor modeled in the Sith-Imperial image denoting his position. Outside of his armor he wears the pristine white uniform of the Supreme General, with a cloak of dark gray hanging from his shoulders. In battle or outside of battle he always carries his sidearm strapped to his side.

Blackblade Mark IV Combat Armor
[*]Skills: Mallear is a brilliant military strategist and battlefield commander who is able to use many different facets of his legion together to complement one another and turn many different fighting groups into a deadly and dominant force. He can effortlessly conduct battle and utilize an incredibly ability to adapt his tactics on the fly. As part of his conditioning and early training he has an eidetic memory and is able to absorb information at an incredible rate and apply it. As Grand General his impressive skill as an administrator and organizer has become more and more evident.
Mallear is multilingual and is fluent in multiple languages including his native Basic and Epicant: Graugspeak, Huttese, Binary, Shyriiwook, Sullustese and Mando'a.
[*]Personality: As the product of his incredibly intensive training under the harsh and unforgiving doctrine of the Blackblade Guard, and the many years of service under his belt since the guards conception, Brutus is almost completely devoid of empathy and compassion in any form. Through the intense conditioning process he is an uncompromising, cruel, and utterly ruthless soldier who is willing to commit the most heinous atrocities at the drop of a hat if it achieved Imperial victory.
War and Battle are a huge part of his life ever since his youth when he fought as a slave gladiator in the arenas on Panatha. He has dedicated his life to the spreading of carnage and waging of war, destroying anyone who stands in the way of his Emperor and his Sith Empire. While his upbringing wasn't the best Brutus was indoctrinated into the imperial way during his early years in the Blackblade Guard serving as the bodyguards to Kaine Zambrano. The man took the Gorebound under his wing and augmented them, teaching them the ways of Sith and Imperial philosophy which Brutus paid close attention to, the beliefs soon becoming his own.
While he trusted the Sith and his fellow Imperials he held a deep seated, pure hatred for both the Jedi and the Mandalorians. Brutus spent much of his career as a Blackblade on battlefields fighting both enemies slaughtering them and seeing his fellow soldiers fall before them. While he would tolerate the mandalorian presence since his Emperor did so, he personally believed that they were an inferior culture that needed to be either exterminated, or worked to death in the factories of Kol Huro. It's too hard for him to just forget the decades of war against them.
Despite the countless species he waged mass genocide on with the guard, Brutus wasn't in fact a racist individual. While it was a casual indifference at first as he developed into his own man through the harsh conditioning he believed that in war it didn't matter what race you were, but the uniform you chose to wear. He believed that in war only a fool would turn down the great assets that alien races could bring to the table.
After so many years he finally began to break through his intense conditioning to become his own man who believed in leading from the front, that a commander could only ask his men to do something that he would do himself. Unlike many of the aristocratic officers who served around him Brutus came from nothing and held a greater respect for the common soldier. He detested wasting assets and never sent his soldiers into situations where they would be treated like cannon fodder.
One of the traits that stuck with him was Brutus rarely showed any outbursts of emotion such as anger, in all situations he remained calm and in control. He believed that in war one must understand his enemy completely in every capacity especially their history, philosophy, and art. He wasn't an arrogant or a narcissistic individual and never underestimated his opponent.
However despite the development beyond his conditioning compassion and empathy are still out of his reach. The only attachment he feels is to House Zambrano and his masters, after spending most of his life directly serving them he remains fanatically loyal.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Brutus 'the Tower' Mallear, the Imperial Executioner was born in the harsh city state of Prethia on Panatha, from an early age he and his family were very poor struggling to get by having barely enough to reach the next meal. When he was very young in order to make ends meet and survive Brutus was indentured as a gladiator in arena as gladiatorial fighting was a huge, lucrative sport on Panatha. It was here that Brutus found his true calling as a trained warrior. He not only excelled but proved to be a prodigy becoming one the best quickly becoming the Champion of Prethia, and conquering the other city states own champions after. Brutus made history when he became the Unified Grand Champion of Canthar becoming one of the first and youngest to achieve such a feat in centuries.
It was through this honor that Brutus was able to buy his freedom becoming a free man and elevating his own family's status into the upper class with his riches. News of this great warrior spread far and wide until agents of an individual known as Kaine Zambrano, Lord of the Exiled House Zambrano found their way to the young Brutus. As a boy who yearned to belong to something, and craved battle he eagerly agreed to the man's proposition to become one of the very first of an elite breed of soldier. Brutus was an outlier among these other recruits as most of them were imperial soldiers who excelled in both the academies and actual military service. Brutus was a pet project by the then Minister of Intelligence Kaine Zambrano to find other outliers like himself among his people who could excel and rise above his fellow peers no matter the circumstance. So Brutus was rushed through the academy where he graduated at the top of his class.
He was then brought in along with a large pool of recruits taken from imperial veterans from across the Sith Empire and inducted into what was called the 'Blackblade Program'. Out of all these warriors he was seen as the outsider due to his origins and looked down on for them, but that quickly changed when the program began. Many of the soldiers who insulted and looked down on him were turned into gibbering, broken shards of their former selves through the unimaginable cruelty inflicted upon them designing to break them down layer by layer mind, body, and spirit. This was a training designed to create a soldier that completely adisregarded their own lives, a soldier devoid of compassion and empathy.
When the program had reached its end Brutus stood tall with the successful few most notably alongside brothers he made including Anthmar, Osbasid, and Zaddion Bruul. They were given state of the art weapons and armor, and sent into combat against the vicious warriors of the Mandalorian Clans. Adaptability was their greatest asset on the battlefield as the Blackblades were able to change their tactics with horrific effect, slaughtering many Mandalorians at the battles of Feriae Junction and Concord Dawn. They stood victorious against these hated foes and slaughtered for their master without hesitation.
As the war went on their ranks swelled into the hundreds with more and more soldiers making it through the tough program. But Brutus Mallear and his brothers in arms quickly became rising stars, Anthmar especially. They were tested again and again against the mandalorians until the rise of Empress Decimus when hostilities between them became a thing of the past, Brutus and his fellow guardsmen found a new enemy in the Jedi. The Jedi held the advantage over them initially with the Force and their superior weapon, the lightsaber, but as the war continued more and more anti-Force technologies were created and supplied to the Blackblades in their fight, the scales tipped back into their favor once more. When the Empire reached its zenith there were only five guardsman from the original class: Anthmar, Osbasid, Brutus, Zaddion, and Morcar.
Kaine Zambrano taugh them in the dark arts, warping their minds and bodies to unnatural lengths. They became the Gore'merji, the Gorebound, an elite oligarchy of the Blackblade's most powerful and ruthless warriors led by their brother in arms the strongest even among the five: Highlord Anthmar. The dark side coursed through Brutus's body and alongside his brethren they unleashed death, destruction, and ruin on the Republic even after the Empire fragmented and crumbled due to internal schism and the external foreign aggression.
But the guard survived the empires fall and were gathered by their Lords: the former Emperor Kaine Zambrano and First Apprentice Braxus Zambrano and they were moved to the Epicanthix homeworld of Panatha on the opposite side of the galaxy. There they were reorganized and bolstered by fresh troops comprised of Imperial exiles and Epicanthix youths. Once more their strength numbered in the thousands as the Sith returned to the galaxy after their temporary defeat to quickly seize Coruscant, Jewel of the Galaxy, out from the Republic's grasp in one swift military strike from deep within the Deep Core. During the twelve years of war between the New Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic the Blackblade Guard found a new avenue to wage war upon their butchery becoming infamous far and wide. Under the leadership of Highlord Anthmar and his Generals Osbasid, Brutus, Zaddion, and Morcar, the legend of the Blackblade Guard and their infamy grew alongside the reputation of their longtime masters, now called Darth Vornskr and Darth Prazutis. Brutus earned quite the reputation of his own having a personal hand in the coordination and carrying out of countless mass genocides ordered by the Butcher-King, earning the moniker of the Imperial Executioner.
However the successes of the Blackblade Guard halted at the Battle of Kashyyk where Brutus' longtime brother and friend, Highlord Anthmar died. It was a loss hard taken even among these butchers as Anthmar had been their leader officially and unofficially since the very beginning when the five met during training.
So the Blackblade Guard was once more brought together behind closed doors on Panatha by the God-King Kaine Zambrano and God-Prince Braxus Zambrano so a new champion could be chosen. The remaining brothers in arms fought one another in a brutal conflict. What happened behind these closed doors was a closely guarded secret even among the Blackblade Guard. But what truly happened was Morcar was the first to fall in this joint battle, killed by Brutus while Osbasid and Zaddion fought one another. The remaining three came together in a final showdown, one last fight together. It looked as if it was all over for Brutus when Osbasid managed to get the upper hand and snapped his neck apparently killing him.
Ultimately it was Zaddion Bruul behind these closed doors that won the day but instead of earning the title of Highlord he was released for his efforts. Zaddion exhibited a degree of creative and individual thinking that Osbasid simply did not have. So Zaddion was chosen to lead a revive a force of soldiers from the annals of Panathan history that his family was known for: the Order of the Crownguard Knights.
Just as Osbasid was declared the Highlord the group was interrupted by the sounds that came from the apparently dead Brutus. It turned out that through sheer force of will and the dark side alone Brutus was able to survive his death wounds. This from his former pet project impressed the monarchs to such a degree that they spared Brutus's life and allowed him to remain in the Blackblade Guard serving as the lead General under Osbasid. Under new leadership the Blackblade Guard saw their greaest trials and tribulations during the dark period when Kaine Zambrano perished, his very body failing him and crumbling into ash. The dark side corruption eroded his body away until nothing remained, and not even his elite legion could defend him from it. Despite it all it was during this turbulent period that the Blackblades hit their lowest, morale sinking. But there was still hope as Braxus Zambrano, God-Prince of the Epicanthix, and successor of Darth Vornskr led them in a huge rearmament and war preparation campaign, a string of preparations occurring all across the Pacanth Reach. Brutus helped to coordinate the legion's move from the old Holdfast to the new Fort Zambrano, a sprawling complex and iron bulwark of the brand new grand citadel far in the mountains. The God-Prince spoke to Panatha's favored sons proclaiming the death of their King was not the end, for he had eluded death before he would do it again, and he would return to the galaxy. As foretold their master would return to them, and with his return the Blackblade Guard found themselves renewed with dark might as they once more waged war on the One Sith's battlefields. As the One Sith Empire crumbled around them reaching its end their masters, rechristening himself as Darth Carnifex along with Darth Prazutis returned back to Panatha bringing the whole of the Blackblade Guard with them. It was here that they returned to Fort Zambrano and culled the whole of the world's society and it's military. Traitors and the disloyal were culled among them the former Grand General of the Royal Army.
As a new candidate was needed the Highlord came together with his dark masters and Brutus Mallear was recommended for the position. Despite his position as one of the greatest assets of the guard he could serve in a greater facet as the new Grand General. The monarchs agreed and Brutus was released from his bonds of servitude to the guard becoming the new leader of the royal army. Under his leadership the royal army was turned into a vast and deadly fighting force the likes of which hadn't been seen in years.
Brutus remained here for several years before he along with many others relocated with their masters to an excursion in the Tingel Arm. It was here that Brutus's expertise in war proved invaluable alongside the Sith, as a new Empire was established on the fortress world of Bastion.
For his great contributions Brutus was declared Supreme General of the Sith-Imperial Legion, and given control over all of the Empires army which he leads with an iron grip.
