Supreme Leader discussion.

Now for a while I've been thinking. We need a big bad to head this faction because let's face it...We're going to be the real bad guys.

Now we could go a PC route, assign a character to be Supreme Leader of the First Order and go from there. Or we could go an NPC route controlled by a leadership council of players, similar to the One Sith.

Each has their advantages and disadvantages.

That is why I have started this. Let's discuss.

skin, bone, and arrogance
On the one hand, it's nice to have something to aspire to.

On the other hand, it's nice not to have something to fight over.

On the third hand, it's shiny and I want it.

Finally, someone speaking my language!

Anyway, the subject at hand.

I think that the title of Supreme Leader should start off as an NPC to begin with. Seeing as none of us have really had enough time to "earn" that position. I think until that point, faction leadership should simply fall to the leaders of the respective branches. In other words, high-ranking military members lead the Army and Navy, high-ranking Knights lead the Knights of Ren, etc.

Since we are still a small faction, I think we can get away without a real, centralized leadership for now. The leading characters of each branch can coordinate with each other well enough until we grow to the point of where we'll need something like a "council" underneath the Supreme Leader. And hopefully by that time we will have someone to take the title of Supreme Leader themselves.

And boy, does that add an element of competition and backstabbing between the branch heads... and anyone considerably ambitious, which is always fun! Gimme!

At any rate I agree with the path this discussion is taking. Do go on. :)

Cool. I like the direction.

We shall form a leadership council beneath a NPC Supreme Leader for now. The heads of department will form this leadership council and will (IC) answer to this Supreme Leader while (OOC) will act as an open leadership forum for Faction decisions.

I shall work on the NPC concept today and get some ideas posted for us to have a go over.

Supreme Leader Sieger Ren

Who is the Supreme Leader of the First Order?
That very question is asked by all who encounter the zealous extremity of their forces, yet all are answered with the same lack of information as the last.

Rumours are that he is a powerful dark force user, who was once training to be Sith before being cast out and left to his own fallen pride and swelling hatred. Sieger was forced to learn the ways of the Force alone and upon the planet of Eriadu it is said that the darkness and a powerful obsession with those who had gone before forged him into what he is today.

It is unclear which came first, Sieger’s own order of Dark Jedi known as the Knights of Ren or the First Order itself. However both are wielded as fists of the Supreme Leader’s will and it is through them that Sieger will see his destiny fulfilled.

It was through Sieger’s cunning and careful placement that he was able to become a powerful rallying point for those who fled at the destruction of the Remnant, his words becoming gospel to a people who needed a leader they could follow into the rings of hell and back. It was these fleeing warbands that Sieger gathered to him before turning them into the formidable legion he controls today.

Without Sieger Ren there would be no First Order. For they exist purely to aid him in his desire for Galactic domination.
For your consideration.
