DESCRIPTION

There is a story told in the archives of Darth Traya and her fight against Meetra Surik, by all accounts an epic battle that was fought utilising a vast array of force powers and techniques in a world-shaking clash before Meetra left to find Revan. Every student knows of the story of the exile, but it was the description of the fight that caught Lunara's attention. It was common knowledge that the more you focused on the force esoteric elements of the force, generally the less capable a physical combatant you were, this was something Lunara had experienced for herself. Yet, despite being older and a councillor Traya held off Meetra by playing into her strengths and using her powers in the force to levitate lightsabers and having them fight for her. So if Traya could do that then what why couldn't Lunara do the same?

Times had changed, the powers that be were far more powerful than they were before, but the Svallin shields were a good step in addressing that power balance, providing Lunara with a means of defence that would allow her to protect herself or her allies while handling any threat that might come her way.

STRENGTHS

• Reflecting you, Reflecting me:
  • The shield is made out of ultrachrome, and can take advantage of the metal's unique ability to reflect blaster and physical attacks (slug throwers) while being resistant to lightsabers. This makes for a supremely capable defensive construct.
• I hear you
  • While the shield can be use like a normal shield, a Nihil smokestone set into it allows the shield to respond to the mental commands of it's user, allowing them to use its abilities even when the shield isn't attached to their arm.
• Bound
  • While the shield could be an actual shield it was primarily designed as a defensive construct floating around her body by Lunara, to supplement her own defenses while she used the force to attack. Due to it's defensive nature the last thing she wanted was someone else reaching out through the force to command it away from her. To prevent this she included a Adegan crystal into the set of crystals set into the scripting etched into the shield's surface. The crystal allowed the shield to be bonded to a user in much the same way as a lightsaber, preventing the shield from being controlled by an opponent.
• Just a Whisper
  • Bled kyber crystals are set into the scripting on the surface of the shield, using their ability to enhance the force abilities of the shield's user, as such you only need to use the barest amount of the force on the shield to use it's abilities.
• Alchemized
  • The shield is alchemized imbuing it with the ability to enhance the users telekinesis, or to use telekinesis by itself. This primarily manifests in two ways.
    • Force Repulse: A form of telekinesis force repulse unleashes a wave of energy that manifests as a physical force, this can either be used to push away anyone or anything in the radius of the shield, or pull targets towards the shield. The more energy which is used to generate the ability, the more powerful it will be.
    • Floating Shield: The primary way the shield is designed to be used is not attached to a users arm but floating around them as an extension of their will. A trickle of power, enhanced by the kyber crystal will allow the shield to float in the air as a defensive barrier that can move to intercept any incoming attacks.

WEAKNESSES

• Alchemized
  • The shield is an alchemized object, and as such has the same weaknesses as all others.
    • In the presence of a force nullifying field, it looses it's enhancements.
    • It can be destroyed by force light.
• Limited Size
  • The shield has a limited size, and can only defend attacks that can be blocked by that area.
• Physical Object
  • Despite the various enhancements that the shield has, it is, at it's core, a physical object, and as such is vulnerable to anything that affects a physical object. It is subject to gravity, to impact or blocking, or a stronger force user, reaching out through the force to pull it away.
