Swamp Fighting

[member="Darth Zilti"]

There was a look at her as Willa was moving with her attention on the jungle around them now that the cool night air was there. She led the way to some of the trees while rolling her shoulders and neck with the hood down and helmet away she could feel the dampness of it on her face. "This world is strange, I have seen other things drawn here but none of our kind." She was looking around now and motioned to the tree while she leaned against it. "So what happened with you? Why did you turn away besides the obvious. The only vahla who I know that fought the sith either joined them and turned on people or just agreed and stayed to be detractors."

Maja looked at the other woman.

“My story is long and potentially boring.” She laughed softly.

“I have spent most of my life not knowing I was Vahla. I found my sister and understood my heritage. She made me promise to fulfil that aspect of me on her wedding day. She was a member of the One Sith Ember. So I sought information from every source but my efforts to join were thwarted.”

“Finally I came across the Force ghost of some long dead Dark-sided Librarian. He explained the Ember to me. He opened my eyes. And I found an old shrine on a lost world. These coincidences made me believe the Goddess was guiding me. And I finally understood I could either follow the Dark Lord or the Goddess, not both. Oddly my Dark Mark has faded since I came to this conclusion.”

“But enough of me…what’s your story?”

Willa listened to the story and it wasn't that different from some she had met or knew. A strange thing but when it came time for her she had to think about it. Thinking it over while she remained there. "I was born on Coruscant and my mother ws a member of the ember. She taught me everything she knew and then she was killed, I enlisted to work and try to find the truth but eventually realized her zealotry was dangerous. Her members of the ember tried to bring me home when the One Sith took Coruscant I remained with the republic seeing how the ember was serving the dark lord and not the goddess. Have been killing the ones I've been able to ever since and well been alone on the squads I've been a part of. Havoc and the Ranger's have slowly dwindled to one or two members and the Ember are nearly all sith or trying to claim the goddess is alive in the Sin families pants."

Maja wanted to chuckle. Her companion's zeal was not in question and her turn of phrase humorous.

"I hadn't considered murder as a course of action. And to be honest, I'm not sure it's the best way - albeit the end may justify the means. So I suspect we need to decide if we could or should work together, and if so, how."

Willa was thinking about that, she wasn't certain about all of it either. Working together to handle some of the major problems in the species or in the galaxy. She wasn't going to be delusional into believing she could solve all the problems. She looked towards a few things though and. "Well going forward, the idea of teaming up or at least having someone you can call in should the need arise is always good." That was it really, they might not be friends but they had a mutual self interest in fixing things and surviving... that made it easier as they could protect and help each other instead of trying to go at it alone and failing... it only meant they had a better chance.
