Take me for what I am (Past RP)

Rawnie Tal'verda

Tal'Verda Aliit'buir
If not for the thick armor on her back and the fluffy furs, his hand running up and down her spine might have made her shiver. Instead, it just made her smile. And blush at his suggestion. They... hadn't done anything more than kissing with the occasional embrace outside of her armor. She knew there was more to a relationship, more that could be done. Hell, she was smart enough to know where babies came from, after all. But they hadn't done any of it. His suggestion...

Intrigued her.

"I'm listening," she purred, tilting her head slightly to look at him through her long pale eyelashes.

She smiled shyly, but reached out to lay a hand on his thigh. They did, after all, have the entire forest to themselves now. And keeping warm was important...

Malcom smile widened ever so slightly when declared she was listening and not shooting down the idea outright. "Well...I mean we are sort of out here in the wilds of Mandalore by ourselves. And we did finally admit to each other our feelings for one another." Definitely something difficult for the two hardened warriors ironically enough. The two that would stare down a small army of anything with not but a pistol having a difficult time admitting something they already knew they felt for each other.

"So that seems like something worth celebrating in my mind. But in the end, if nothing else, it's a simple matter of physics. We got to stay warm to survive, right?" His tone was playing on this being a serious thing that just made sense. In reality, his mind never considered those as actual reasons. Malcom loved her. It really was as simple as that.

Putting on a bit more serious face while still maintaining his traditional smile, he continued. "In all seriousness though. If you don't want to, it's fine. It just sounded fun, and I'd like to share that with you.". A poet, Malcom was not. But he was being honest with his words. He hadn't really wanted this with anyone but her.

He was babbling. She found it... strangely adorable. Usually she was the one who had a hard time explaining herself. She giggled- something she was absolutely not known to do. Her blush had all but faded, the biting, icy winds taking away what little heat her earlier embarrassment had given her.

"Mal, stop. I understand. It's fine. Just... Go slow."

She sighed. Great. Now she was getting tongue tied. She moved closer, her smile faded somewhat. She was all seriousness now.

"I want this too."

Honesty. She was all honesty, clear as crystal. There was no doubt in her mind. This was right. For the both of them.

For one of the rare times in his life, Malcom blushed with a bit of embarrassment. He wasn't used to babbling, rambling, getting tongue tied, or anything. Now sitting here talking about this, he fell apart. He at least felt a little better when he heard her giggle. It was such a rarity for her to behave so it could almost be considered an achievement. When she replied, he smiled as he pulled her in a little closer. "Then come here beautiful." He said playfully as he pulled her in for a passionate kiss. That evening, under one of the worst snow storms to hit the area for that time of year in nearly a century, they would become that much more familiar with one another. And in true Mandalorian fashion, they'd beat the odds and survive the blizzard nice and warm under their multiple layers of furs and in each others close embrace.

Come sun up, Malcom peaked out from under the pelt blanket groggily to see the entire area having been covered in a fairly thick layer of fresh powdery snow. It was a winter wonderland throughout the mountain pass. He knew this would make getting back to the speeders that much more difficult. But at least they weren't really under any time constraints yet. Leaning his head back down he happily watched the sleeping form of his companion. She was one hell of a woman. Strong, passionate, beautiful, an amazing fighter, and even better lover. And he loved her for it all.

It was still quite cold once out of protective layer of furs, but at least they had managed to stay warm underneath. The fires had mostly burned through all the would they had set up the night before, and now only a few small flames grasped for the air. The smell of pine and wood smoke lightly scented the air. Moving a little bit closer, he planted a small kiss on her forehead. "Hey snow angel. Time to wake up. We should get going before we lose to much of our day." He said as he ran a hand slowly along the side of her body.

The first thing Rawnie could hear was his voice. She groaned, moving slightly in his arms. Her entire body felt so... sore. Not just her limbs. Elsewhere too. It took her a moment for the memory of last night to sink in. Their bodies melding together by the light of the fire, the heat from their bodies keeping them warm through the storm, the way his breath had come out in little foggy gasps...

She opened her eyes wearily, holding the furs to her chest. She had to see it to believe it. The moment her sleepy eyes found him, she smiled.

"G'morning..." she groaned, moving closer to nuzzle him, "Just... five more minutes?"

They'd spent enough time sleeping in the same camp together during hunts that he would know how much she was simply not a morning person. It was always difficult to get her out of bed. She didn't want to sleep though. She just wanted a few more minutes in his arms, because when they went back, this would not happen again for a while.

Wrapping her in an embrace, he couldn't say he was overly looking forward to getting up either. Especially with her in his arms resting so peacefully. The previous day had been eventful to say the least, the evening....longer than expected. So the fatigue of all the events rolled up had him less than his usual rearing to get going self. "Well if you insist." He "reluctantly" acquiesced. While they lay there, a content smil fell upon his face. Outside of his leg and the long walk back, all was right in the galaxy for once.

"You're an amazing woman, Rawnie. I'm glad you stayed. Thanks again." It really was doubtful he would have made it through the night on his own. Not without more time to have set up the camp they were able to build working together. There wasn't much more to say other than that. So he was content to stay there till they had to move.

She didn't close her eyes. She was far too busy just... watching him. Her first love. Her first kiss. Her first... everything, really. Had he known how much of a crush she'd had on him as kids? That when she threw ice chunks at him, or punched him in the face, or hit him with sticks, it was just the only way she knew to say what she felt?

"Ni.... ni kar'tayl gar darasuum, Cyar'ika," she murmured, laying her head on his chest so she could heart his heartbeat.

In the deadly snow covered wilderness, Rawnie Tal'verda felt her icy heart melt just a little. The ice Queen had found spring.

"Ni kar'taylir darasuum gar mr, ner cin'ciri a'oatr."
"I love you too, my snow angel."
Eventually they did have to get up and moving. And while he may have granted himself a couple spare seconds to admire his lovers form while they got back into their armor, it was sadly back to the challenge of getting themselves and their prizes on out of the pass. As they packed up what little gear they had, he gave a final look over the place that had once threatened to be his grave and was instead now a place of special meaning for the both of them. With a small smile on his face, he turned to Rawnie. "Well, let's do this."

His air of confidence back to it's normal levels now that the danger had passed. Malcom started a moderately slow but determined march up the hill through the snow and back to their speeders. Best hunting trip ever!
