I followed after her as she started to run, my hand in hers. One thing I always loved about her,w as her ability to find joy, even after when she was feeling completely sick to her stomach moments earlier. And of course the thought of spending some more time at her place was also nice. Quickening my pace, I moved up to run at her side, instead of being dragged around like a rag doll.

Saryana stopped, panting for breath by the time they reached the door to the small apartment she now had here on Veradune. She openned the door and pulled Will through it. The happy young healer raced off to brushed her teeth and returned a few moments later. "Want me to cook something while we're here before we go out exploring again?" She asked, walking over to the kitchen. [member="William Seraven"]

I smiled and walked over to plop into the couch, enjoying the softness of the cushions as I sank into them. "That would be great." Whenever Sary offered food, I knew I couldn't say no. Now, all I ad to wonder was what would she make? My tail flicked in anticipation of her delicious cooking and I smiled at the thought of it. of all the dancers for me to fall in love with, I was lucky to get the one who could cook.

Saryana smiled. "I hope you don't mind waiting awhile? I found something I'd like to try to cook, but it might take awhile." She explained, pulling out pans, spices, vegetables, potatoes, and some ground up nerf meat. She quickly peeled the potatoes and chopped them up into small chunks before placing them in a pot of water on the stove to boil. Next, she threw the meat into a large pan with a mixture of sauce, spices and vegetables. As the potatoes, and other foods cooked she went to sit with Will for a bit. Once a small timer on the stove went off she got up and set to work on the food again. She popped a large pan with the meat and vegetables layering the bottom and mashed potatoes and cheese on the top into the over and let it cook until the cheese was melted. When this was done she got down to plates, served a large amount of food onto both of them, and carried them into the living room, handing one to Will along with a fork and a spoon. I nodded and leaned my head back on the couch, my tail flicking lazily while I rested. As she started to cook the food, I sniffed a bit, enjoying the strange but delicious smells emanating from the kitchen. My head lifted a bit to the smell then cocked tot he side. "Whats it called?" To be honest, I'd eaten a lot of things, some things I wish I hadn't. But while this smelled good, it was completely different from anything I was sued to.

"I think it was called Shepherd's pie, but I can't remember. I just know my father used to cook this all the time before... Well before he sold me to pay off a gambling debt," she bit her lip at the memory of her father trading her for such a reason. Parents were supposed to love their children, and yet her own father had sold her to a cantina because he owed money and couldn't pay it. If she ever saw the man again she'd probably slap him, quite a few times. [member="William Seraven"]

I smiled and started to flick a bit faster, but the happiness cut a bit short when she mentioned how she had ended up as a dancing girl. I had never known, simply because I had never asked. But now that I knew, I couldn't stop the low growl that left my throat. Scum. I hated it. Those who sacrificed their family just for their own selfish desires. Didn't they understand its value? When others didn't have their families? When others had to deal with the fact that at any moment, what family they had left could be snuffed out like a candle?

Saryana heard the growl and rested a hand on his arm. She smiled slightly at him. "There's no use being angry, you can't change it. Even if you could, I wouldn't want you too. Sure I've had some terrible things happen to me, but those things made me who I am today. I like who I turned out to be, so why get upset over the road I took to get there?" her words were sincere and totally calm. She sounded like someone much older when she talked like that. My growl subsided at her calm words. I may not have liked it, but she did have a point. And if she hadn't had found her way into that bar, I wouldn't have found my way to her. My tail wrapped around her waist and I leaned over to kiss her cheek before resuming my meal. "Sometimes I wonder if you're too smart."

"One of us needs to be," she teased, nuzzling his cheek and cuddling against him. Looking at her, you'd have no idea she'd led such a trouble life. The healer was so upbeat and happy all the time. Saryana just accepted life the way it was, instead of dwelling on things she couldn't change. She did her best to help those around her and never asked for help herself. Some would say she was strong, though she would deny it. [member="William Seraven"]

I rolled my eyes and leaned my head against hers as she nuzzled into me, feeling the wind from my tail as it wagged quickly back and forth. It did he good to have her happy attitude around. It was a reminder that no matter how baad thigns might get, there was always an upside, something that Saryana seemed to always find.

"So... What else is around here that you would like to show me?" Saryana asked after a few moments, looking up at him again with a smile. She was also very eager to explore, travelling wasn't something she got to do alot of. She was determined to see everything this new world had to offer, and having Will by her side just made it that much better. [member="William Seraven"]
