Taking a Load Off

She barley hesitated. "Brix.. asked me to suck as my credits out of you as I could.. maybe if he had his credits it would make him a better boss and master.." She knew that was a lie. She was to frightened of what might happen if she told her the truth. Lyn had been owned so many times in her life by more masters then she could remember. Change was hard for her. Adapting to a new way to survive every few mouths put strain in the young woman.

"But honestly.. any time away from him I cherish. So if you don't want to spend more on me.. just.. spend a little more time here with me?" She didn't think the second request was much to ask. She had fallen for many people in the past but this time.. this time she was sure this one would listen to her. Her.. suit of armor.. her protection. She wanted this feeling for a few more minutes. Before she would run out of here and forget like everyone else.

Uyia smiled, she had a great idea forming in her mind. But she would start by spending time with this dancer. She looked upon Lyn and sighed, her face softening.

"Alright, I'll stay for awhile. Get you out of his hair."

Awhile later

Uyia put her armor back on, having finished the private show Lyn gave her. She looked back at the Liran, sighing. A species like this would be hard to forget. Maybe she'd write about it back at her ship. She took her gauntlets, putting them back onto her arms and messing with a few buttons. She threw Lyn a cred chip of 5000 credits.

"Keep that, hide it. It would be better your boss doesn't get it, or his wife."

Well, it was time to execute her idea. If it worked, this slave would be free to do whatever she wanted. That was the plan, anyway. The super solid plan.

The chip landed in lap as she slide on her bottoms. She looked up in disbelief. "this... this is enough to buy my freedom! Oh.. Uyia.. thank you!!" She stood up and wrapped her arms around [member="Uyia Wryss"] 's neck. Kissing her cheek and giggling uncontrollably. All she had to do was go to the back and exchange it for one 4000 and keep the 1000 to start her new life. She could finally live a normal life.

She let go of Uyia and unlocked the door, following her out with a grin. She frowned just as the door opened Brix was standing there. His arms folded and looking angry. "Spacer.. get out.. you are not welcome here anymore.."

Oh no.. he.. was listening through the door.. he heard the amount she had gotten. He was going to take it from her and not allow her to buy her freedom. Her heart jumped as she looked back to Uyia unsure of what to do.

"See, I thought you might say that...but here is the thing..."

Uyia uppercutted Brix. While it didn't seem to do much to the big man, she used his shock to push him away from the door into the middle of the room. She was enraged by this man, as she punched him in the face again, before stepping back once he was sufficiently in the middle of everything. She pulled her arm up, aiming it straight at Brix. A slight laugh was followed by flames. Her gauntlet opened up, roasting the man with a good 10 seconds of napalm before it ran out. He was burnt to a crisp.

"Deal with that, pig. Hope your wife sees how you truly are."

See, the funny thing about solid plans? They never are very solid. The wife had entered the door, seeing the commotion inside that Uyia had set off.

There was screaming, yelling, and confusion. Lyn's eyes welled up in tears and she sank to the ground horrified from what she saw. His burring corpse still charged on the ground, everything looking blurry through the tears. She could hardly breath. When she looked up she heard blaster fire from outside. A strange hum of a high powered weapon came that she didn't recognize. [member="Uyia Wryss"] was fighting off the police that were in this sector.. everything had fallen apart. Next thing she knew she felt a pain against her head.

Hours latter

Lyn woke up in the back of some sort of vehicle. She could see that Brix's wife was driving and one of the regulars was beside her in the front seat with a blaster out. She heard the woman speak. "Listen alien scum.. You are the reason my husband is dead! I would kill you but my family and I would have nothing to go off of.. if you are wondering where I am taking you slave, no need to worry yourself. We are going to find you a knew home. A home of the highest bidder." She laughed and contuined to drive as Lyn burried her face in her hands.

As hard as it was for Lyn to be sold again, it made her feel like she was better off. In fact the only thing she regretted about it was not being able to find out the fate of Uyia. She would lay in bed years later hoping to see her again. That some Mandalorian in the red armor would walk in some day she would find her suit of armor again.. and then she would be safe in her arms.

After burning a man to death, Uyia really wasn't in a good spot. Considering she had a police task force chasing her, she needed to get out of the area and get to her ship. Thankfully, she was able to avoid a good amount of them, having the training to get past them. However, the hangar was locked down, so the only way in would be vents. It was a struggle, but Uyia finally managed to get inside, running towards her ship.

The one problem in her way was the large riot officer that punched her, making her helmet fly off her head. That would need repairs, quite a bit of them as she would find out later. As she struggled to get up, the officer grabbed her by the throat with a knife over his head. He was just about ready to kill her, when she realized it was more of an assassin. Valkyrie strikes again. She managed to put her feet up, hitting a button on her boot that activated her jetpack, forcing the man to release his grip. The knife fell however, slashing over her left eye, scarring it for life.

She moved in pain, stumbling towards her helmet while she tried to regain her breath. She grabbed it, rushing onto her ship and starting to get out of the port. Her injuries needed fixing, but she got that done. Her helmet would need a vast amount of repairs, but this was one of the few times she had the parts.

As she sat at the pilots console, she thought of the Liran. She was disgusted by the abuse that slaves dealt with. She wrote about it in her logs. She would never forget that woman, for she was the one that gave Uyia her ideal of freedom for all. Maybe, just maybe, they would encounter each other again in the future. Who knows.
