Taking The Krayt (Sith Assassins)

Fighting a crowd seemed to be more [Member="Iziz Vei"]'s strong suit than it was Saiah's, and someone had to move on to get the blueprints they had been tasked with retrieving before the Turanium blast doors closed. Everything had been made a little more difficult, but that made it all the more important to get done with quickly. She smirked back at Iziz while quickly mustering up the power for more Force Speed. She would have to go faster than she had before. What is a Sith without progress? Dead, that's what.

"I'll go on ahead, you'll be fine. Have fun!"

She darted away through the formerly laser guarded room. With the lenses broken, the rays were too scattered to detect her intrusion. The blast door was closing, and closing fast. Turrets on either side of the door had detected her and fired. Heavy blaster fire was not something Makashi effectively covered, but movement was. She zig-zagged to throw off their aim, and by some graceful acrobatics, avoided the blasters long enough to get her close. She ducked under one of the two wall-mounted turrets and slipped under the blast door before it closed. To get under, she slid to her knees. Ff she had hair, it would probably be stuck, as the door slammed down a few centimetres from the crown of her skull.

Of course there were going to be defences inside the door, she was getting close to the servers after all. Right past the door, there were turrets just like the ones outside. They spotted her the moment she slid under the blast door. Had they not been currently aimed elsewhere, she would have been sporting a set of nice new holes in her torso. In the short time they turned. Saiah mustered enough Force energy to rip one off the wall and use it as a shield against the other before colliding it with the one still mounted hard enough to disable their gunnery. These were, however, not the only turrets in the room. The remainder had already started tuning in on her, and then there were the droids sent to this general direction. On the positive side: She could see the server room entrance.

OOC: I'm going to finish my portion of this thread so I can call it done. Apologies for the brevity of the actions.

Three doors closed as she could see. Thick, heavy, blast doors. She was locked in with cameras and turrets scanning for her body and primed to shoot her on sight. Right in front of her were the entrance to the servers. So, she had to get over an open stretch, in which she would experience relentless heavy blaster fire, -or so she assumed judging from the building's defences so far- and she had no time to waste. She needed some sort of shielding. Why weren't blaster-safe shields standard equipment? She would have to remember it.

Saiah looked left and right as she lay on the floor. She was surrounded by durasteel. She would wager that the steel sheets would survive, at least for a while. So she closed her eyes and inhaled as she mustered up the Dark Side of the Force. Gritting her teeth, she tore steel plating from the walls and held one on either side of her by telekinesis. It was exhausting, but it was a matter of life and death, so she had to hold on. Then she ran. Force Speed was her best skill so far, and while holding on to the durasteel plates, she darted across the room while the turrets hammered her with blows. The plates heated up and it was very uncomfortable, but she made it across the stretch and threw the plates aside with telekinetic force, aiming for two of the turrets and hitting one, bending its barrel in the process. Then, she entered the server room.

Upon entering the room, she immediately set to copying the files. Meanwhile the files were copied onto a datapad, she meditated in order to reinvigorate her body and find her way out. Down? If there was a cellar under this level, then yes. Up? Certainly there would be a level above this. She had no shields to protect her a second time. Could she take on all the turrets alone? Possibly. She threw the case back and forth within her head until a pleasant 'ding' signalled the completion of the copying of files. Saiah secured the datapad on her person and whirled her lightsabre around in her hand. She had decided to take on the turret on one side and cut her way through.

She slipped out and went left before the rightmost turret could begin firing. With Force enhanced speed and a little bit of acrobatics, she avoided the blaster shots and closed the distance. Luckily, that was the side where she damaged one of the turrets, giving her leeway in avoiding. With a broad cut, she sliced through both turrets and leaned against the wall while catching her breath. Her body ached with exhaustion already, but she would persevere. The pain fuelled the dark side within her, which in turn fuelled her body in terms of strength, speed and perseverance.

Next, she started on the door. Confidently, she cut at it with her lightsabre, only to find that it would not yield. Impossible! Their blades could cut anything. She put the tip against the blastdoor and pressed. Her entire body-weight behind the point. It entered slowly and she smirked. If only she got a hole big enough to climb through. When her sabre was almost to the hilt, she started pressing it sideways, slowly. It cut a circle into the metal, but it did not fall out right away. Saiah put both hands on the inside of the circle and with a roaring surge of power, sent the metal slab crushing into the pack of droids outside. Their synthetic screams warned her of their presence as she dived through and lashed out in a broad stroke of her lightsabre against the closest ones, followed by a surge of Force power as she pushed the next rank away. Inside there was fear, anger, exhausted pain and it all translated into a rage that fuelled her raw Force power. Once more she let the Force empower her speed as she carved a path through the droids and darted down the corridor. She had what she came for, it was time to leave.

When she was no longer under fire, she touched her comlink while rushing for the nearest exit, which would be the hole in the wall.

"Saiah here. I have the files. Extracting now."

The sudden sound of Saiah's voice jolted Killian upright. He had been waiting quite some time, and it seemed like the Assassins were merely wrecking the place. However, one of them had accessed the system, securing the files needed, and that meant Killian could do his part. With the system going haywire at a forced download of sensitive data, he managed to catch a loophole in its reactive programming, remotely accessing the system from his own terminal. With the easiest part over, he then implemented the bug he had been preparing for the duration of the mission, watching it's progress whilst typing away at more code to ensure it's safe passage through the strict firewall. In the corner of his eye a flickering light unnerved him. The countdown until the mainframe overloaded itself continued, reaching it's last minutes. Unfortunately, a system access could only go so fast.

Nevertheless, he continued. Breaching firewalls and proxies, only to find more dead ends in the access route; the system was heavily protected, but nothing Killian couldn't handle. He tried again, this time slipping through by disguising the bug as a standard log file. There was only a chance that would work, but he took it and it paid off. The timer kept going with only a minute or so left, yet it was down to the program itself to run fast enough.
Extracting
Installing
Executing...
The timer stopped, and Killian's breathing resumed with a large exhale. Across the building the droids dipped their heads, inactive. Traps and turrets all became useless, and silence ensued as the words Killian loved most danced across his screen.
Access Granted

"Security disabled, the building is ours. I'll reconfigure it so it doesn't shoot at us, it'll take a while." Killian announced through his intercom.
Another job done.
