- Enables the wearer to shapeshift into the form of a female Shaal
- Metamorphosis: Imbued with the Force, the ring allows the wearer to shapeshift into the form of a female Shaal.
- Alchemized: It is highly durable and resistant to most forms of damage—but not immune.
- Mundane Materials: The metals and gemstone used in the creation of the Talisman are not particularly valuable, and therefore unlikely to attract attention.
- One Trick Pony: The ring can only transform the wearer into a single form. It serves no other function. Regardless of the sex, species, or other physical attributes of the wearer, if they use the ring they will take on the appearance of a female Shaal with the exact same appearance every time.
- Alchemized: Typical alchemy downsides apply. Ysalamiri, Force Bubbles, Force Light, etc, will weaken or destroy it.
- Kafkaesque: Should the ring be destroyed while the wearer is using it to take the form of the Shaal, they may become trapped in that form permanently.
Consulting from Clanmother grimoires and other sources both ancient and contemporary, Rhiannon first experimented with trying to create her own Talisman while still a student at the Sith Academy. These novice attempts were unsuccessful, and she shelved the project. Years later, Rhiannon would again become interested in the idea, this time with a specific idea in mind. She wanted to be able to disguise herself as one of the natives of the planet Zaathru, where she and her family had made their home. Deciding on the form of a female Shaal with blue eyes and yellow ochre skin, she tasked the Forge of Mount Pele with creating the ring which would house the Talisman. From there, it was a matter of trial and error until she had accomplished her goal.
