Talks with the Silver Jedi (PM to join)

The planet Vaynai came into the cockpit's view as the Republic shuttle exited hyperspace, after its journey along the Perlemian Trade Route. Alena had rarely been out into the Outer Rim of the Galaxy, and it was her first time visitng this particular planet. Her mission was simple. The Kuati senator and her companion, a junior senator named [member="Faith Balor"] that was tagging along with her, was going to talk with the Silver Jedi.

The Silver Jedi held little popularity within the Republic, often labeled as traitors to its cause. Beswin had seen fit, however, under the current circumstances, to come talk to the faction to convince them to help the Republic and its allies drive back the One Sith. "Alright, get ready for landing." she told the junior senator.

"Requesting permission to land...." the Republic pilot spoke into the communication device as they neared the planet's orbit. The ship they were onboard was a small sleek vessel, with basically no offensive capabilities. It was only armed with a shield, and other defensive measures. Most likely, there would be little conflict with the Silver Jedi. They were here, after all, because the Silver Jedi had agreed to the talks.

Arya stood looking from the console, she looked at the readouts on the screen and raised an eyebrow speaking. While she respected the Silver Jedi she was in many ways here for the sole purpose of seeing things safe. She sent a message to The council and Saki because the silver master and teenager of all of them had fought for the Republic the longest. "This is Ranger's command, you are authorized for approach and there is a hanger bay prepared for you. Head in and your escorts will bring you in." She remained there for a few moments and continued to watch with her arms crossed. "Councilors, Master Saki the Republic senator is here.

Saki heard the message and opened her eyes as she rubbed them groaning. She rolled out of the bed and went towards the closet to get dressed. Hearing the Republic was here boded... well she would see who it was. Given how much she was and had been involved with them at Alderaan during both battles trying to get the people safe. Saki had something few others did mostly fresh eyes for the perspective. Now she was here to offer true help and advice if the grandmaster needed it for dealing with the government that was at times only one part of the problem. She preferred and listened to what Aika had said in the one meeting. Fighting the sith and being willing to help but not trusting the leaders of the republic or jedi order had been met with bull poodoo which helped cement why she didn't feel guilty about leaving with Niamh. "Thanks I'll go and meet them."

Standing on the ground waiting for the Republic Shuttle to land, a lone figure of a woman. Her Silver Jedi cloak covering her robes is wrapped around her body, the wind is cutting today. Iella looked to the skies as the Shuttle descended.

She began to walk slowly toward the landing area and would greeting the Republic representitives as they disembarked. Iella holds no emotion on her face, save a hint of curiosity maybe as she is unaware of the nature of the arranged talks. However, there is no reason not to hear them out.

The ship touched down, the engines began their warm down cycle, and the ramps lowered. She stood by and waited.

Alena looked over at her crew onboard the ship, which had been kept minimal for the mission. She stood up then walked down the ship's ramps after it was lowered, glancing back to check if her junior senator was coming too.

She had no guards with her or weapons. There would be no need for such, the senator was sure of that. Alena noticed the Jedi that were already awaiting her. Certainly they must have been curious to hear what the purpose of such talks were for. After all, Alena had been briefed before-hand on the negative relations that the Republic had with the Silver Jedi in the past.

"Thank you for having us, master Jedi." she said, greeting the Silver Jedi at the platform. "My name is Alena Beswin, senator of Kuat. I am here as part of a delegation on behalf of the Republic." Alena stated, keeping a neutral tone.

She was curious as to hear whether the Silver Jedi had prepared a meeting place for them to talk.

Saki arrived thankful she didn't have bedhead that might have been the worse while she rubbed her eyes to wake up before standing a little behind Iella. "So ah who is..." Her question was answered as she saw the senator and went quiet. Interesting but of all the senators Alena was one she had liked. Hanna was over here or on Shri-tal often, Zarro was in the Protectorate, Jack had up and married Leori, Yusan... well Yusan was a ten ton bundle of crazy in a five pound bag. The others were meh in her opinion and only really showed themselves when it was self interest instead of helping the people. "Welcome."

Before the Delegate from the Republic arrived, Iella greeted Master Saki. "Good day Saki", she said as the girl stood beside her. Her attention then turned to the woman walking down the ramp. Iella approached and extended a warm smile.

"Greeting Senator Beswin, you are welcome to Vaynai. I am Grand Master Iella E'ron of The Order of the Silver Jedi.", and now to business. "I believe you wish to speak to us regarding alliance with the Repubic. I think we should find somewhere to talk more private and comfortable", she looked at Saki for this, hoping Master Saki had arranged a place suitable for these talks.

Faith had kept quiet most of the trip unsure of what she would say to the Jedi. She listened to Senator Beswin as she spoke. As they landed Faith tugged on her clothing wanting to be sure to present the right image. They walked down the ramp of the ship the Senator leading the way as Faith peered slightly around her to get a look at who was greeting them.

When the formalities of introduction started Faith waited her turn to speak, "Greetings Grandmaster I am Senator Balor, usually of Alderaan." Her dark eyes looked at the golden haired Jedi before her. It was not often that Faith saw so many who were so fair did it make them delicate too? She smiled at the Jedi, and looked to those who had come with her.

"Agreed, Grand Master E'ron. " she said. Following the formalities, Alena would politely follow the Jedi Masters to wherever they had arranged the talks to take place. She would have introduced the junior senator, if Faith hadn't chosen to speak herself. "So, to business..." Alena began.

After they reached their talking place and when everyone was ready, the senator started speaking.

"I would like to state once more, I am honored to be here. I am quite sure you are all aware of this, but at this very moment, trillions of innocent people in Coruscant, in Alderaan, and in various nearby planets are oppressed by the evil and barbaric One Sith. Trillions upon trillions of more lives are also threatened by the significant threat posed by the Sith forces."

"Countless number of brave men and women have sacrificed their lives, trying to defend and reclaim their planet from the One Sith's evil influence. Unfortunately, the One Sith continues to hold numerous planets and a large span of territory within their influence. Admittedly, the Republic and its government has failed in its responses to dealing with the Sith. Our chancellor sits idle at this time, and endeavours to reclaim our lost territory and people have been ineffective, while our enemy grows only stronger every day. There is no doubt that the Galaxy is now at a turning point, in which unless action is taken, more and more planets will be under the grasp of the One Sith."

"I understand, master Jedi, that the Republic and the Silver Jedi may not have experienced the most positive relationships. Yet today I have come before you to implore you, the Silver Jedi, to overcome its past relations with the Republic, and to be partners in our fight against the evil forces of One Sith."

Saki listened to the woman and snorted a little, as she stood there. She had been at Alderaan both times, she had also been at the meeting where when the Silver Jedi agreed to fight the sith but not for the Republic it had been met with insults by her boss. She had seen the recordings from the envoy sent to the Silver jedi threatening to wipe them all out last time. She had seen the silver jedi fighting the sith on nearly every front of the war and being met with hostility, suspicion and getting their faces spit in because they chose to help. It was why she spoke up now looking at the grandmaster in the meeting.

"We already fight the One Sith, we have given them pounds of flesh and been met with distrust, hostility and insults. I was at Alderaan both times I watched the Republic and jedi barely even stand because all they do is divide themselves. They blamed Havoc Squad for failing at the hospital and now they are gone from the Republic, they blamed senators for the problems and they are gone and it has only gotten worse, they blamed the Silver jedi for not fighting and pushed away support for their own pride. Now they send a Senator who doesn't have all the facts here. She is either someone they wanted to fail or they are simly lying and altering the facts."

Either option was really plausible she expected Alena wasn't given all the facts to start this meeting which was bad.

Lok had been trailing the Silver Jedi Grandmaster for some time now. She was a close ally and to be even considered a friend of his, but the musings of these Republicans didn't exactly stir the most pleasant thoughts in his mind. Politicians were a blight upon the galaxy, but their role was useful and this particular space viking only liked them when they got the job done. Seeing as he was no longer with the Republic, most people already knew that these so-called leaders had failed him more than once.

Without saying or a word or even making a sound, save for the crackle of his cloak upon the air, the Jedi Knight drew closer to the delegation as they continued their walk in. Whilst the Grandmaster wasn't alone, Lok regarded [member="Saki"] with a respectful nod of his head, taking care to keep his visage obscured by his hood. As for the pair of Republic delegates, he kept his cobalt eyes locked upon their frames. Every few moments or so the man would easily let his gaze slide off to the side, observing his surroundings.

It was a nice day. It'd be a shame if something ruined it.

Finding herself unable to move as fast as she once did. Any more she had a more of a waddle to her. After all being almost to the end of her pragenic didn't help matter. Finding herself unable to keep away. Knowing what her fellow jedi those bounded with her calling them her brothers and sisters. Finding in her arm a basket. Hoping that everyone of the juicy fruit being had a sweetness to. After all one couldn't have a talk with out there be some peaches.

Giving a way to the gathering giving each one of them a kiss on the cheek before speaking, "Greetings, I just ask for your pardon for being late but I could help but to pick some of this most wonderful looking peaches from the garden."

Faith listened to this it was hard to hear them talk about her homeworld like it was some kind of pawn in a game. Her mother the rightful Queen, as well as her Aunt Rianna who she believed spent time among these Silver Jedi would probably feel much the same way. Faith did not know that the Silver Jedi had offered to help, if her mother had known she may have invited them to come.

Faith did not want to be rude but when [member="Maya Whitelight"] leaned to give her a kiss she felt uncomfortable she would however take a piece of fruit. It was truly interesting though to watch all of this, she couldn't wait to tell family.

Iella acknowledged everyone that had joined them for the talks. Her eyes remain fixed on Senator Beswin however, as she put forward her reason for this trip. The head strong Master Saki was the first to speak on the subject, outlining the major facts of the situation and the waning relationship with the Jedi Order. She is tired of the talks, it removes so much valuable time from the work that still remains within the galaxy. While they take this time others are left wanting for aid or protection.

"Senator Beswin, I understand your concerns and yours points are very valid. I also know of the situation of the Sith and the invasions .. as Master Saki has pointed out, the Silver Jedi did go and did offer assistance. Our effort was .. how shall I put this .. marred with verbal retribution", she smiled a little.

"However, I am not here to throw accusations toward any one or any situation of the past, let it remain there. I shall inform you however, that in the past I have met with Grand Master Kiskla Grayson twice, and twice I indicated to her that the Silver Jedi will stand by them in times of war as allies, I also told her of the reason I left the Order .. and when the time of war arrived the Silver Jedi went to assist. I will now tell you that the Silver Jedi will not fight for the Republic, we are a non political Order and will remain this way the best we can. I understand your concerns regarding the planet you named, and no doubt they are both of a political nature as well as a personal one, however, the Silver Jedi have under their care systems that require our constant vigilance, they require our protection when required and I will not shrink from that responsibility nor will the Jedi of this Order. We have limited resources, and limited people and we have an entirely different purpose. Might I suggest Senator Beswin that the Republic look to their own and begin to work to bridge the divide that has split the Senate and the Jedi Order. Much work is need there".

Iella had no patience for going over old ground, her days as Padawan had seen the Republic go from a shambles, to a growth that had placed them in a position to do something, only to be ripped down of a few. To many in the Jedi Order and the Senate have their own self importance placed firm at the fore front of their minds and actions.

Alena patiently listened to the Jedi speak. Clearly they had a reason to be upset, especially considering the unwelcome reception the Republic had given them in the past, despite their support.

"I would like to first and foremost, truly apologize for the inappropriate reception the Republic has given all of you. I also thank you all very much for your invaluable services in supporting us when we were threatened." she began.

"Grandmaster E'ron, I fully understand your commitment and responsibility towards the planets you have under your control. I also realize you have limited resources available. But despite such situation, I would still like to ask that the Silver Jedi assist the Republic in driving back the One Sith. I am asking you to intervene once more not because of political reasons. I would like to emphasize the fact that there are trillions of innocent lives living under the evils of the Sith. Only combined efforts between the Republic and its allies may be powerful enough to defeat them."

"I would also like for you to note that another fight against the One Sith is nearly inevitable. It is simply a question of when. With all due great respect, master Jedi, I would like to inform you that under the current circumstances, either the Silver Jedi stands with the Republic and fights to drive back the One Sith now, and prove yourselves as brave sentinels for peace... or else you will continue to be called cowards of the Galaxy, who allowed the One Sith to destroy billions of more lives when it could have been prevented only if you had chosen to act earlier."

"I fully understand, before you remind me, that you have indeed worked to fight the One Sith with the Republic in the past. And that didn't go well for you. I will assure this to you now, master Jedi... that if you choose to support the Republic just one more time, I will personally see to it that the efforts of the Silver Jedi are congratulated and rewarded well for choosing to fight for peace and defeat evil, when the Galaxy called for such courageous actions."

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Saki just looked at the woman and crossed her arms, the hair along her arms were bristling less in anger and more in she was so wanting to give a wake up call but this was hald the plan it seemed. Get them on the defensive and push them into fighting. "I have seen how the Republic and Jedi Order reward jedi who fight, we all have. The majority of the Silver Jedi when it was founded were the jedi who fought for Selena when the Republic needed to stop their evils. The ones in power now called them warmongers and fake jedi, you as I recall led a bill to make sure that we were no where near the Republic and senate. Now it has gotten worse, Selena might not be the most liked but she was honest about things. With her we'd know where we stand, Kiskla Grayson is to caught up in her own ego and being some great figurehead she forgot there is more to being a jedi then a title."

Oh she could go on but having been the longest one fighting the sith in this room, having fought against them since she was twelve and seeing their evils she didn't like this woman coming and saying. If you help us we'll maybe remember you but if you don't you are cowards. She hadn't seen any other grand allies jumping to the Republics aid if anything seemed less cared. That meeting had only served to keep them like this. Now they were back to throwing jabs at their allies and potential allies. She had listened to Kiskla, had heard her speak and her decision to do what she wanted to do, it served no purpose but her own ambitions in the end. "We don't need to support the Republic to fight the Sith. The jedi have done that in he past under worse circumstances and we do not need to fight along side those who want our help one minute then are spitting in our face the next because they are true jedi."

Her head turned to look at the others who were with them and this wasn't ne persons choice, Iella was wise in listening to others when it came to decisions at least. Saki might not be the voice of age and wisdom but she had stuck around the longest and watched things get worse. She had the experience to make up for her lack of wisdom and she had regardless of what others said shown she was a jedi in the end despite all the terrible glares from the jedi order. Hell based on that alone she would rename them back to their most dangerous root, The Order of the Terrible Glare formed of the jedi to preferred to stay with the corrupted Republic instead of leaving and saving itself. There were many other things she wanted to say and do but none more important then this senator might be able to do things... but anything she did or said could be changed in an instant.

I was late as usual, but I always come in with a bang. This meeting was no exception. I was in my full battle regalia, armor and all. Minus the helmet, so that people could see the sometimes-startling effect of my face versus the color of my armor. I walked towards the room, nodding at the guards, who recognized me as a member of the Silver Jedi, and stepped through the door. Having heard the discussion that was going on right before I came in, I nodded as I sat down.

"Master Saki is correct, as usual. Not only would we be considered traitors, we would never have the respect of the vestiges of the Order that remain with the Republic. If I'm correct, the majority of the Silver Order's representatives here would be executed on sight, or held for information for a long, long time."

I stared straight at the Kuati Senator, and my expression became very grim.

"Unless you can guarantee us amnesty, there is no reason whatsoever that we would step foot on a Republic world in full force. Personally, I can promise you that the first soldier to attempt an arrest on me will suddenly come down with a very bad case of comatose."

I looked around the table, gauging the reactions of my comrades. Mostly silence, mild disapproval, or agreement. None were very likely to violently oppose me.

"If this meeting had been set up in Republic space, I would have counted this as a trap to kill off Silver Masters. In fact, I believe that I am the only one here who is not part of the actual command structure of our Order. It is cruel irony that the instrument of the Order's exile is the one ho plots to return us. Mind you, my words would have been applicable even if it wasn't you, Senator. But the fact that it is you who is here talking to us raises my suspicions. Prove me wrong, and I will be a staunch ally. Until then, you've heard me."

I bowed shortly to the Grandmaster and Master Saki.

"I apologize for my rudeness, Masters."

"The Republic is a democratic government, The Jedi Order is of the same philosophy, it is not a crime exercise a democratic right to leave. Unless things have change significantly since I held a seat on the Council there. Of which I resigned from. There would be no legal reason for them to accuse me or any other member of treason". Iella said bluntly.

"Senator, Jedi do not seek and care little for reward or accolades, I care even less for name calling especially when one does not have all the fact about the situation. I also do not believe you stand here with the full facts, and or the authority to bestow what you offer .. I know for certain that any 'reward' you would be prepared to give would be overturned. I will not stand here and give you an immediate decision on this, I need to speak with my Council on this matter. You set an ultimatum before me now? one that offers things I care nothing for and one that will hold no bearing on our decision. We will make our decision based around our purpose as Jedi not your ideals or that of the Jedi Order. When we have reached a decision I will contact you.. until then Senator Beswin I bid you farewell, and may the force be with you". Iella bowed toward the Senator and left.

These talks almost were immediately devolving into senseless namecalling and accusations. Lok Jorunn knew what this Republic was about and he had served many, many years under its banner as both a Padawan and Knight. Hell, he'd even been there at Coruscant when it was sacked by the One Sith resurgence and had stood side by side its valiant Jedi warriors. However, they were no longer those peaceful and serene beings that he once knew. They were a political entity and let the Senate and the people dictate their actions and influence their motives and deeds more so than anything. There was none of that here and that is why Lok remained ever faithful to the Silver Order.

"It is wise to never treat the Silver Jedi Order as a political entity, honorable Senator." Lok's dark, deep voice resounded out past his drawn hood. "We are very much different than what you immediately presume us to be. We are more than meets the eye - plus more."

The Harbinger had nothing else to say to this woman nor her aides. As for that incoming kiss from a comrade, the Shadow deftly avoided the movement. In the blink of an eye, he faded away into the shadows.

Faith had heard too much by this point, "GRANDMASTER" Faith didn't mean to yell but she really wanted to say this, "I would never allow any of the Silver Jedi to be harmed, for to do so would dishonor my family, and my mother" Faith looked down, "I am very new to being a Senator, and words of diplomacy I often forget and use layman's terms forgive the lack of the politically correct" Faith stood up she felt she had to, "Master Jedi, I apologize if the words spoken here are offensive to you and your order. Please know that if my mother, The Queen of Alderaan had known that you had offered help, she would have insisted that you be allowed to."

Faith looked to each of the faces around them, "The Republic has made mistakes, and they will probably do it again." She smiled, "It is the way of things of all things. It is often the way of people. What would it take to have the Jedi of this Order, which includes my Aunt Rianna Ordo to come to the aide of the Republic?" Her eyes held no contempt, no accusations, and none of the emotions that seemed to fill this room. Hers were pain that something might have saved her home.

"My world is inhabited by Sith, a peaceful world full of art, culture, beautiful landscapes, and a long history of being free. Is there nothing I can say to you, that would have you help free my home, ot helping prevent someone else from losing theirs?"

[member="Lok Jorunn"] [member="Iella E'ron"] [member="Zatten Black"] [member="Saki"] [member="Alena Beswin"]

I smiled at the Alderaanian princess. She didn't understand, most likely.

"There's been too many hits put out on me by the Republic. Especially by their Jedi. I could not make myself fight for the people who made it impossible for me to live on Zeltros ever again. And like I said before, the next Republic agent to attack me will suffer more than broken bones."

My smile turned sour as I continued.

"There's a reason I fight for the Silver Order, Princess. And it's not because I'm not dark enough for the Sith. It's because I was convinced to become a Jedi, and then betrayed by my future master. I thank him and curse him in the same breath, because I would have been part of an Order so willing to destroy themselves. Your presence here warms me to the plight of Alderaan, but the Republic can, and possibly should, burn for what they have done to the galaxy, and to their own people."

I straightened up, and smiled directly at the Alderaanian princess.

"I will fight for Alderaan, but never for the Republic. They are, in my mind, separate entities. Just as the Silver Order is no longer of the 'true Jedi', so Alderaan is not of the Republic. I shall lead the charge, but a silver sigil will fly above me, not the blue."
