Talks with the Silver Jedi (PM to join)

"Padawan!" came the commanding voice of one Thurion Heavenshield, who had up until now merely observed the meeting from afar. He'd not yet been officially added to the Silver Council, so he would ultimately leave the decision to those who were. However, he would not let this fresh face among them berate these Republic senators simply wishing for them to save their worlds in danger. It was an honest request, and he knew the senators never meant to belittle the Silver Jedi. Had he the power to do so, he would grant the same protection to all worlds in danger of falling to the Sith, but alas he did not.

Coming into view of those gathered, he walked up to [member="Zatten Black"], a newcomer he'd never seen around before. He stopped short of a foot in front of him. "These are the Council Chambers, and it should be filled with the voices of the Council only." He stared him down, calm and collected despite his disappointment in the padawan's actions. "These envoys are begging for the lives of their people", he continued, glancing at the Republic senators. "...and should be met with respect - not immediately be met with such callous words by one who is not even an elected member of the Council. Stand down, Padawan."

He turned to the senators and bowed graciously. "My apologies, Senators."

After all she was one not to speak on these matter knowing that she could do more to listen. Keeping on her own smile upon which took her by surprise when one of padawn spoke up. Even those what he spoke had been something needed to be out there and the truth from his point of view.

"Padawn Black I know your feelings there is others that have met the same fate. I also feel there is different way to fight the darkness. Some times its not straight on or in a way that others think its to be fought.", as she let herself move over to Padawn Black placing a head upon his should.

Letting herself flow out smoothing from her to let those around be at a calm and level head after all this wasn't time to have tempers to flare up. "Here have a peach and let their be a sense of peace flow over you, Black."

Please I will watch and take respablity for Padawn action and lets us not speak in such a manner but listen and wait to speak so ..right Padawn Black.

I did salute as the Grand Paladin [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] entered, at least.

"My apologies, Masters, Senator, Princess. I was out of line. But I will do what I said. I will fight alongside the Organas when the time comes."

I bowed deeply, and sat back down. Of course I was out of line, and Heavenshield was right to be disappointed in what I had said. But it didn't change the fact that, in the end, I would do the right thing, Republic or not. Alderaan would be liberated, if not by my cooperation with the Republic, then by dint of simply going to the Organa queen myself, and offering my assistance.

I caught the peach Master [member='Maya Whitelight'] threw me, and nodded respectfully in her direction. At least there was something to stop me from talking, now.

(Was waiting for somebody to say something about that.... Sorry if I said something I wasn't supposed to...)

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Saki looked at the padawan and raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms. She was all for having an attitude but there was a limit and line. She turned her attention back to the senators and spoke looking at them. Well looking at Faith as she was the one who fought on Alderaan both times. "I was at Alderaan I fought Hauntruss in the city a top her giant worm and I fought again against their massive leviathan as the battlefield fell to the vong and sith assault. The queen had nothing to do with it senator. She is I am certain a good ruler who is popular but she was not the one trying to solve a problem by throwing as many lives as she could at it."

Saki stepped forward only because of all the ones there she was the child soldier who had fought the sith the most. She understood the dangers they posed, she understood the horrors they had committed. "Don't ask that, don't ask what it would take. Some advice, you make it sound like a bribe like we are for sale. You are young (ironic) and learning to play this game of the politicians. The Silver Jedi do not need to be bribed to come to the aid of the galaxy we have already been there. We have already helped and when our aid was accepted the Republic's forces, the jedi order was able to hold out. Without it well the sith have walked over you."

Now she was moving a bit, Iella had walked off and her hand went over her head felling the buzzed hair. "The problem you have senator is that the Republic and Jedi Order have allowed problems to grow and chose to infight. We have ones who fled the Republic because they had differing opinions and were fearful of being called a sympathizer of the sith and arrested. A bill that was passed through your senate to allow a handful of people to dictate based on their own bias what constitutes a sith sympathizer or agent. We have jedi who the order has been abandoning in their training to further their own egos."

Her eyes locked looking at Beswin and Faith. She knew the others were there. "We have your soldiers from special teams, pilots who have had to deal with the political games stemming from trying to protect their homes. Yes I admit the Republic and the Jedi order got the most popular and well loved people running them, the chancellor is very popular with the people because the only people left know if they don't support him they could be arrested, the grandmaster is the sole person in charge of the jedi to fuel her ego, the pretty exterior has been given to hide the rotted corrupted part underneath the surface."

"Councilor Aika said it at the meeting, until the corruption is removed don't come and see us. We'll gladly fight to protect things but the republic right now I mark up to as our historian suggests. It is much like it was during the Pius Dia crusades, dangerous, corrupt and has to much influence over the jedi order."

[member="Maya Whitelight"] [member="Zatten Black"]

"Master [member="Iella E'ron"], you had promised me earlier that you were not here to throw accusations toward anyone or any situation of the past..." Alena remarked in a disappointed tone as the Grandmaster started to exit. "I hope that you and your council will come to a careful decision." she managed to say before the Jedi left, Alena surprised by how eager the Jedi seemed to be in closing the discussion.

The senator then gave Senator [member="Faith Balor"] an approving nod for her pathos argument. Alena hoped that the emotional appeal might soften up the Silver Jedi's strong reluctance to fight alongside the Republic.

Alena shot glances at the two Jedi Masters still standing in the room ([member="Thurion Heavenshield"] @Saki). One seemed to be a bit more understanding than the other. It seemed that it would be possible for there to be differing opinions even within the Silver Jedi.

"Allow me to clarify something, master Jedi. I was not offering monetary compensation when I spoke of rewards. I am indeed not authorized to promise you anything of the sort. The greatest reward I can promise the Silver Jedi as of now is mere recognition, for brave actions against the Sith. I certainly understand that the Jedi do not fight for accolades. I apologize if anything I have spoken of today offended you, I have not meant to do so. I trust that you will do the right thing at the end of the day, for the good of the people of this Galaxy."

Things were still getting interesting. Even as the Harbinger of the Order had fled to attend to other duties within his section of the Order, he had returned in silence to observe and gather information. Taking free reign over the shadows that were littered around the back of the Council Chambers, Lok didn't make his presence known whatsoever. The Grandmaster tended to be rather lenient with his musings around the Chambers and never intruded on any official matters, but this was something of importance to the Shadows. Perhaps there was a compromise to be made.

Following the outburst by some Padawan who, surprisingly, hadn't been ejected from the Chambers yet, the Harbinger listened intently to the pleas of the Republicans. This was what he had been waiting for. Passion, emotion, sincere pleads for assistance in the saving of their people and the liberation of their territory. It was one thing to be political allies and quite another to save the lives of the innocent and uphold the law of the Light.

"Senator, Grandmaster," the Harbinger respectfully greeted each person of honor as he exited his concealment, "please allow me to propose a compromise." The Jedi Knight strode forward to shed some light upon himself and the mask he wore. He was the Angel of Death. He served the Light, but differently. He was the cleansing light, not the healing light. "Perhaps the Silver Jedi Order shall not devote all of its resources to this cause - a good call, if I may. However, I am willing to step forward with my brothers to protect and serve the Light. The Sith shall not be able to backtrack to us, we shall serve as a separate entity from Republic units, and will complete orders as provided by the Silver Council."

He had been itching for he and his boys to do something more grand and interesting than intelligence observations, hit and run operations, and the like. It was time to see how much these so called One Sith had changed from the last time he'd battled them.

The proceedings did not even leave the landing pad? Not that Garith could see that from space.

A transmission had been sent as Garith ship had drawn closer to the planet. It was the basic information via transmission you would commonly expect from a inbound transport. The IDF code read this. Supremeus-Class Mandalorain Star Yacht the Aay’han Manda of Clan Ordo. One passenger. Jedi Master Garith Darkhold JR, son of Adrianna Organa, Queen of Alderaan. Attachment to diplomatic talks between the Republic and the Silver Jedi.

Once the IDF identification codes were confirmed permission was granted to land at the same platform as the Republic shuttle landed upon.

The shuttle dipped in through the atmosphere a pivoted, turning around as it went to land next to the republic emissary shuttle. Lurching as it landed it finely came to a full stop. Seconds later the back ramp lowered reviling Garith. He did not wear armor. He was just dressed in plain cloths. Blue pants, white t-shirt, tan boots, and a red jacket un zipped. Walking out of the back of the transport he could see people grouped together speaking to one another. One of the people he could see was his sister [member="Faith Balor"]. Naturally he started to walk over.

Trying to follow as she keep an eye upon [member="Zatten Black"] as she listen as she waiting until all seem to have spoken before she herself then cleared her own throat. Before doing so she handed the basket of peaches to Mr. Black before stepping up. Even so she let her eyes float to them all remember what happen back on Empress Teta with Saki.

"As those others have spoken there own mind and place fact upon your feet. How I see that you look like we should be more into the police that we are not nor are we ones to pull all or resources to your battle with the sith that seem to be a thorn in your side that it seem in a way you have created for yourself. We have our own fight with darkness and those under our wings to look after also. May it seem bad to think this way but maybe you need to trim your own then trying to pull others in to defend your planets. I for one know that can have the Silver Cross United can be any where its need in the republic but know that this Medical and Humanity Aid fleet is neutral we came any one in need we help with out taking a stand of who they are we don't judge. "

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Saki looked at the other talking as she moved over towards [member="Maya Whitelight"] and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry about it, the danger of what they want to do it bluster." Saki turned around looking at the ones who were there now mostly the shadow and padawan. "Anyone not on the council clear out now, those from the Republic I can say this. The Council is going to be discussing it but I was at Alderaan both times, I fought both times and I saw the Republic barely trying to defend the world or take it back. Is it bad that it is in the siths hands? Yes it is but bringing a third battle there right now will leave the people with nothing, their homes, their lives have been destroyed."

"I have high doubts the Republic is going to try and retake the world when their greatest play for it was met with another missing master. If you wish to stay here and eat do so but piling on things will not change a decision that the grandmaster isn't here for, it won't sway or rile us up into fighting for you because you allowed your own governments pride and arrogance to drive wedges with the rest of the galaxy. Do not try and act like you are the victim when the Republic has been targeting its own people more then they ever did the threats of the sith. Once Selena wiped their empire from the galaxy however briefly you were quick to brand her a warmonger and cast her down, condemn her to make yourselves feel better. You have caused your own problems and now the consequences of your actions."

Her eyes remained on the others as she motioned with her head for [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and [member="Maya Whitelight"]. "Lets go, help yourself senators to some food and drink , stay out fo the restricted areas and if there is a change we shall inform you."

Oka tracked down this meeting to learn more about being a diplomat. But it turned out it was over very quickly. He came out of hiding with black robes and cloaks with a mask so no identity could be seen. He walked up to the little group and turned to [member="Lok Jorunn"] as he began to speak. "Might you really suggest that, how would it benefit our peace with each other? Oka assumed this was the great Harbringer. Although it would be a good go, how could the trust form with a simple mission? Maybe he was looking at this wrong, maybe it was just a gig for the Shadows or something but that would reveal some things. Either way, he's the boss and silent he would be when he got his answer.

Sadly when he was walking over he realized the meeting was nearly over or was over. Walking over he could make out some of the words [member="Saki"] had mentioned. It was something vaguely about the Republic and how at this time it would not be wise to retake Alderaan as it could do more harm to the people right now. Sound logic and one Garith would hope to hear from a Jedi. All of that he hear Garith was fine with. He was not here to talk about waging war nor was he here for the Republic.

Garith nodded to those who could directly see him as he walked over. [member="Saki"] , [member="Maya Whitelight"] , [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] , @Lok Jorumm , and other Silver Jedi whom where still there. The only two that sort of had their back towards Garith was [member="Faith Balor"] and [member="Alena Beswin"].

“Faith”, calling out to his sister Garith reached out and hugged her. He never had such a issue he would not show affection to any of his siblings in public. With the conclusion of the brief family reunion Garith turn to the mater at hand why he was here. “My apologies for my interruption”, he said to those gathered and knowing he should introduce himself. “Hello, I am Garith and Faith's brother. Walking over I vaguely over heard some of the topic at hand. Just to be up front I’m not here as a representative of the Republic. Nor am I hear to discuss matters that only create more conflict rather then helping us to heal those that need our support. My mother had asked me to come with my sister but sadly I am late. My apologies, I wish that I could have gathered here sooner with all of you. To the matter of why I am here, on be hath of my mother Queen Adrianna of Alderaan and the people of Alderaan. There is refuges stranded off their home world and fleeing as far as they can from the direction of the One Sith. Some have come in your part of the galaxy. My mother was hoping I could speak with someone among the Silver Jedi about how we can help these people suffering. And how we can give them aid until such a time they can return home or settle into a new life away from Alderaan. Is there someone I could speak with who in return could speak with your Council?”

He understood politics can be difficult at times. However right now Garith was more concerned with helping these refuges. Sometimes you just can not do everything by yourself. Sometimes you just had to look to friends for help. Garith was hoping the Silver Jedi could be those friends.

Lok Jorunn patiently awaited a response to his proposal from both parties - Silver Jedi and Republican. Before he could utter another word and add on to his own suggestion of compromise, one of his subordinates fled from his cover in the shadows and approached him with more than a threatening question. The Harbinger knew who he was, he was supposed to know all of his operatives anyways. "Wanting benefits for ourselves is selfish, Snipes," he nearly growled his callsign, "and our job is to destroy the darkness. You of all people should know that. We fight so others don't have to; we wage wars now so that they may not be waged during our childrens' time."

He could be respectful, polite, and tactful when needed but he would absolutely not stand for one of his operatives speaking so out of turn and without given respects to his superiors. Along side Master Hasjo Hallu, Lok had led Sixth Battalion and various portions of other soldiers into battle and had earned their respect on many an occasion. His Silver Shadows were Jedi Knights and Masters just as he was, but they were not subject to the usual serene atmospheres and duties of the normal Jedi life. They weren't the healing light, but rather they were ones that cleansed and destroyed. Discipline was needed just as much as moral strength.

He did not need to berate this man anymore. So, Lok turned to face the newcomer who was obviously younger than he and yet seemed to be even more powerful than himself in the Force. Oh how the world worked. "Master Garith, before you come to us asking for help, what have you yourselves done for your people? I am all for rescuing and protecting, but I will absolutely not risk the lives of many to save a few. If they are coming this way, we can possibly allow them to live in peace among our territory." The Harbinger shifted his weight. "But if we must go into enemy territory to recover them, that is an entirely different situation and shall be left to my superiors."

Blunt, short, simple. Although he wasn't on the Council or was even a Master for that fact, he still held some amount of influence on the Council due to his rank. Hell, he didn't even earn this rank, he just got it because nobody else stepped forward.

"Understood, however, wasn't this meeting for the peace of the two?" he said bowing and stepping back keeping his posture. Oka knew he had said enough and the question wasn't meant to be answered anyways. This must be the Harbinger - he thought. The Silver Jedi has a strong government and the way they responded to the Republic was all they needed to. Everyone can fight for peace, but in the end, the real winner is no one.

I overheard [member="Lok Jorunn"] and [member="Oka Osaa"] as I was walking out of the meeting room...

And of course I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

"It's a trap if I ever saw one. Political maneuver to ensure that the Order and the Sanctum will be the ones to point fingers at when the Sith come roaring down on the Pubs. And I don't trust Kuati much. They double deal too much, and too often."

Oka heard [member="Zatten Black"], a Jedi of the order talk about this being a trap. "Assumptions are only going to make matters worse. As much as I have my doubts about this, we don't make the calls." he said turning to the man. Under his mask, he had a face of disappointment. It was common for slurs but still.

"Oh, don't worry. I won't do anything drastic unless something really bad happens. I'm just saying I don't trust the Senator. But I'm biased, of course. Republic Jedi killed my mother. Because she was my mother."

"I understand, but still, this is a diplomacy. Throwing stuff around isn't needed. She's not the Jedi, she was merely sent here on behalf of the Republic." then he paused and prepared a telekinesis message. It was a whisper to [member="Zatten Black"] through telekinesis. "What goes around comes around my friend."

Well Garith was not expecting the words that came from [member="Lok Jorunn"] or [member="Zatten Black"]. Being a Mandalorian he under stood logistical numbers of troops. Who many troops are un unit. How many non combat personnel you would need for each individual soldier in the field. That is a lot of me and women. It was impossible for one man to know without some sort of document to look at. Then to naturally assume that someone had not lifted a finger to help their own people without knowing the person nor without the ability to have factual information to base a question such as? Before you come asking for help, what have you done yourselves done to help your own people?

Such a statement seemed rather cold and one that Garith did not expect. Garith was not one to dwell on the negativity. Being a natural optimistic when he viewed people he looked to their positive qualities. There was hope here he could see it in those who was talking even if they did not see it themselves. For example the one who addressed Garith by name. He mentioned something Garith was looking for. In fact it was the only thing he came to ask. That if refuges come this way would they be welcome. Garith did not take offense to the man’s words. He just rather pushed the words to the side. It was clear the man was a soldier even though he was a Jedi too. Often the harshness of war puts people on edge.

The Zeltron’s words seemed more dark and based off his own suffering with more then just distrust but with anger as well. Then again the Zeltron would not be here unless he wished to do some good. In both causes Garith would not say much to their behavior. He was not a Master in the Silver Jedi order and it was not his place to correct them. [member="Oka Osaa"] , his words of understanding was welcome.

“I’m sorry for the confusion. I did not come here for conflict. I’m not a member of the Republic. I am a Mandalorian and I was not raised by my mother. I was raised by my father. I will not look to the past and worry about what I may not done in the past. What does mater is what I do now. I did not come here to speak for the Republic.”

“I not here to ask anyone to go into a battle. I’m here officially to speak for my mother. Here is the message. It is regrettable what has happened in the past. In dark times like these it is a time when friends and family should come together. It is in the comfort of each other that healing begins after such losses. It is why we of the House of Organa wish to reach out to the Order of the Silver Jedi. It is not unknown that the Organa family have a connection with the Silver Jedi. My sister Rianna Organa sends her love. Sadly she could not be herself. She to is dealing with direct losses to her and her children. I do send my son in her place and my own. It is not safe for me to travel as I'm constantly being sought out by The One Sith. He brings this message to you. There is refuges from Alderaan that are logically coming your way, they wishing to get further away from The One Sith. I plead to you, please welcome them in and watch out for them. They have suffered much and it brings great pain to me to see or hear them suffer anymore then what they have already. I also request a audience at a later date between the Organa family and the Council of the Silver Jedi. We ask as an extension of friendship and a hope that in these dark times we still have friends. We are not asking anyone to go to war. It just is not feasible at this time to try to take back Alderaan. Much to what the Organa family is thinking can be explained directly to the Silver Jedi Council during a summit. Please think carefully on this. We all need each other in these dark times. If we do not seek peace who will.”

“That is the message from my mother. I to have hope, with the short bit of conversation I have heard here today. We are asking nothing more then for friendship and for help for those refugees that comes into your corner of the galaxy.”

With giving the message Garith turned to Zatten, “I’m sorry to hear about your mother and I’m sorry for the grief it has caused you.” Garith did not say anything else on the matter. He was not the Zeltron’s Master nor was he a member of the Republic Jedi. Garith was truly saddened by the mans loss and the continuation of the man’s pain because he was unable to let go. Garith was certain there was someone within the Silver Jedi that could help this man.

I looked to [member="Oka Osaa"], and nodded.

It will wait, like all things must. Until the time that the trapmaster becomes entangled, and then the prey can feast.

I looked over at [member="Garith Darkhold JR"]. A neutral party. Good. I made sure the councilors couldn't hear us, and then I nodded at him in greeting.

"You weren't here, but I swear I will protect your people, Vod. Until the bitter end, or until the Sith give up on Alderaan. But I will not be the hunter, and then the prey for the Senate. They've done too much to a large number of people that would rather like to see them pay for it."

I let my eyes glow red for a second, and then I regained control over myself.

"The Order may not like it, but there will be a reckoning. I hope very much that you and yours are alive to see it happen. Alderaan will no longer be the battleground for this war."

Faith came out of her fog and finally turned to hug her brother. It was so odd having another brother she smiled though greatful that he was there. She could only listen now as Garith delivered their mother's message.

No one knew what grief it gave her mother that the people of Alderaan suffered, and Saki was quite wrong in the way she had mentioned her mother. But she would not correct her now, but Faith was offended by the Jedi.

She stepped slightly it seemed more and more that the galaxy was turning in on itself but perhaps if they could get some of the refugees some place it would help.
