High Marshal Kiff Brayde: High Marshal of the Confederacy Defense Force and the Miranda Sector Armada, Task Force Broken Crown is under the leadership of High Marshal Brayde.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Task Force Broken Crown was formed by Kiff Brayde to replace the smaller 186th Siege Line. Formed after the Sith invasion of Pantora and with the upcoming Confederacy invasion of Mandalorian-held Tanaab, Task Force Broken Crown is one of the first operating Confederacy fleets to show off two of the CDF's latests ships-of-the-line; the Thoros-class Artillery Battlecruiser and Saboath II-class Assault Cruiser. Composed to be a versatile yet heavy-hitting fleet, Task Force Broken Crown is only utilized for large-scale battles or invasions, and is composed of six smaller battle lines, all from the CIS Miranda Sector Armada and under the command of High Marshal Brayde. While it has yet to see service, all of its ships and crews have been selected for the distinction in which they have performed service to the Confederacy in the past, making Task Force Broken Crown truly a force to be reckoned with.
In Task Force Broken Crown each battle line, or group, has its own purpose on the battlefield. The 509th Heavy Battle Line serves as the large offensive body of the fleet, filled with ships-of-the-line to directly engage the enemy in ship-to-ship combat. Escort Groups I and II serve as Vanguards in battle, while seperately they can serve as larger patrol forces or even as a planetary garrison. Both Carrier Groups can be positioned alongside the Assault Group or in the rearguard; their 'weapons' so to speak are the countless fighters stored in their bellies, or in other circumstances armor and troops, giving the Carrier Groups a more support-style role. Finally, the Artillery Group serves as a heavy-hitting rearguard, the three Thoros-class Battlecruisers able to cause massive amounts of damage from non-conventional distances; although it is heavy hitting, the rear placement of the Artillery Group gives it a more sort of support role in the overall fleet.
