- Amaranth Focusing Crystal: The Executioner uses a special focusing crystal that allows the weapon to produce immensely powerful projectiles that are ten times as strong as standard energy sources that most weapons use, creating an extremely powerful weapon.
- Anti-Jedi: Due to its design as a particle beam blaster rifle the weapon produces very powerful blaster bolts that explode on contact with solid objects or energy fields, making it unable to be deflected by lightsabers and the perfect weapon to use against lightsaber wielding opponents.
- Deadly: When fired at its normal setting alone the weapon is significantly stronger than most other blaster rifles. Due to its adjustable power settings the weapon has the destructive potential to pierce even the heaviest armor, strike down powerful creatures, kill Jedi, pierce light armored vehicles and even creating holes in ferrocrete making it one of the hardest hitting blaster rifles ever produced.

One of the greatest strengths of the Blackblade Guard is its persistent ability to evolve.
Ever since the very beginning during the early days of the Old Sith Empire it has proven time and time again its ability to learn from experiences and their enemies, to adapt and to come back stronger. It is this singular truth that has helped to turn this legendary, infamously known force into one of the deadliest, most elite combat units in galactic history. As the galaxy finds itself erupted in the flames of war the Blackblade Guard finds itself on many battlefields destroying the enemies of their Zambrano Lords under the banner of the Sith Empire. They learn from every encounter and from these experiences came the newest weapon in their arsenal and the new standard the Executioner.
While the Judicator served as an effective weapon for the Sith-Imperial Legion it wasn't the same for the guard. Due to the intensity of conflicts and the deadly opponents they find themselves against such as heavily armored Mandalorians or lightsaber wielding force wielders, specifically among the Jedi Order it ultimately fell short. Technicians of the Engineering Corps were put to task designing a suitable alternative for the guard to use, and were given whatever funding and assistance they needed in creating something effective.
For the weapon design due to its many advantages and effectiveness especially against lightsaber wielding opponents a particle beam blaster rifle was chosen for the type of weapon. It was through the Sith Emperor and the Shadow Hand's good relationship with the Lady of Secrets Taeli Raaf that they were able to come up with the perfect piece for their new design. The Blackblade Guard Engineering Corps in cooperation with Aurora Industries technicians designed a bleeding edge assault rifle through the use of extremely powerful Amaranth focusing crystals. It became the center and the entire weapon was designed around it using highly durable and heat resistant materials, as well as components that could handle the high energy output of the crystal it began to take shape.
As an army that prided itself on fighting in every environment imaginable the weapon needed to be all purpose and a wide variety of modular features, power settings were introduced. This ensured that no matter what battlefield, what purpose a trooper needed to serve he was prepared. Ever since the beginning the Blackblade Guard closely guarded its weapons and armor against theft or tampering through various methods and this was given a good degree of thought. To this end the weapon was biometrically linked and it could only be used by its owner, when directly interfacing with a suit of Blackblade Combat Armor. A full security system to protect against not only anti-theft but anti-tampering was the last piece introduced. The final product was a new, monstrous weapon usable only by the enhanced giants of the guard and far more effective than other weapons on the market. Due to their reputation as the terrifying Angels of Death for House Zambrano responsible for mass genocide, the destruction of cultures and the extinction of species the weapon was given the nickname the Executioner. The new product was put through extensive testing, easily passing and a final demonstration was given to Highlord Osbasid, Commander of the Blackblade Guard. Osbasid was so impressed by the new design he immediately approved the Executioner for large scale production and named it as the guards new standard.
