Private Tea... with Tiland!

Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble

"One cup of tea?" Tiland asked, eyebrows raised in surprise. "How is that even possible." He frowned and knit his eyebrows together. "Sometimes other species are very strange." He gave a small chuckle and refilled his own cup of tea.

"And I suppose my path now is as it has always been- to take care of the people in the Outer Rim, to prepare the next generation of Jedi, and foster the growth of harmony wherever I might be."

"That's a good enough path for any. If you need help, just lemmi know and I'll come by. .. It's the least I can do. Jedi should stick together, even if we're not of the same order."

Tiland tapped his temple one finger. "That is the question though, is it not? Are Jedi defined by the politically recognized Order they belong to? Or are all Jedi part of the same philosophy?"

He shrugged after a moment. "I suppose it is splitting hairs, as it has little practical bearing. I have tried to consider all Jedi part of the same order, regardless of their flag."

"I've seen the attempts for the Jedi to work together, from different orders. A high council, a neutral grounds or neutral group for all to be a part of. It hasn't worked in the past, and I don't think it will work in the future." Even as he spoke, though, he kept the calm smile on his face. No, not calm. Hopeful.

"This new generation though. We can teach them how it doesn't matter what someone's belief is. All people who need our help should get it, in whatever way we can help. As peacekeepers, as artists, as soothesayers. We can still show them there is no wrong way to be a Jedi so long as you're willing to help."

Tiland's eyes twinkled as Kahlil spoke. "Ah, that is precisely the crux of the question. I don't necessarily think in terms of a unified order or creating some sort of neutral ground."

He considered for a moment. "Doctors are doctors, regardless of who they work for. It is more than what name they might wear on their coat. It is... a philosophy and a way of life, an identity that we choose."

"You are correct though, of course, that we can teach the younger Jed differently. It can be quite a challenge to break through several decades of prejudice and grudges, but I think it can be done."
