James nodded. She wanted to distance herself. Probably for the better. He was bad luck when it came to women. He broke their hearts and since Leighlah, they had broken his in return. He, however, could not say he would let her walk off without keeping an eye on her. He cared too much to let what had happened to Kay and Ryn happen to her. They had been like sister and brother to James, and each had been under the torture, captured. Kay he had been able to help rescue, but Ryn he didn't find until it was by far too late.
