CONTENTS
  • Ralltiir Curse: The Raaltiir Curse is a powerful ability, not to be taken lightly. This curse, once released by the user will show an unsatiable need to consume metal and minerals to sustain it's life. If the curse is released and left uncontrolled then it will systhematically seek to consume any and all metal within it's path. It moves like a plague of locust, flying from one source of metal to the next, consuming all it can. Although the curse does not target organic matter, it is still very harmful to most beings in the galaxy. This particular curse was engineered to have a blood-thirsty drive for Mandalorian Iron, causing it to specifically target that specific metal first.
STRENGTHS
  • Methodical: The curse is not a living being, however it is very careful to consume metals in a pattern that will allow it to survive the longest. Although it cannot help but consume Mandalorian Iron with a wicked appetite, it will often ration out other metals so that it can survive.
  • Destruction: This particular curse can eat through the most dense metals in a matter of minutes. Although it has a noticable weakness to Songsteel and will not consume that metal, almost all other metals are at it's mercy. The desner the metal the more it wishes to consume it, yet the desner it is the longer it will take for it to be fully consumed.
  • Harm done: The curse can wrap itself around Armor, much like a swarm of insects. Once it has done so it is difficult to remove and will begin eating at the metal and everything surrounding or connected to it, making it a Mandalorian soldier's worst nightmare.
  • Controlled: The curse can be directly controlled by it's master, [member="Srina Talon"]. Once unleashed she can order it to destroy any source of metal she deems unnecessary, especially ones covering organic matter.
  • Safe at Home: Srina Talon's ring is made of Songsteel, the only metal capable of containing the curse for an extended amount of time. Songsteel is an extremely light and resistant metal, making it the perfect home for the Ralltiir curse.
  • Specifc Weaknesses: There are few non-energy based weapons that can harm this being. As it chews through most metals, only a songsteel sword is capable of causing the beast to dissolve. Projectiles and all other metalic weapons will only be chewed to pieces by the curse.

WEAKNESSES

  • Indiscriminate: If the curse is left unchecked it can continue to ravage all the metal in an area, including those that the user may deem necessary. As it has no actual cognitive thought it cannot discern an enemy target from an ally and will chew through them with equal tenacity.
  • Back Home: While the destruction of this being is extremly difficult, it is rather easy to have the Ralltiir dismissed. A series of well placed blaster shots or the blade of a lightsaber can cause the Force curse to disperse, fleeing back into it's host and staying there until it has built it's strength back up and is ready to attack again. This can take as long as an hour to accomplish, depending on if it's master can devote time to it's restoration.
  • Force Being: Made and forged in the Force, this creation is susceptible to force nullifying objects such as Yslamiri and Void Stones. Not only can it not be unleashed within such fields, if one overtakes the Ralltiir then it will be forced to dissolve back into it's host.
  • Death: Destruction of the Ralltiir's host, Srina Talon's ring, will mean the beast's final release into the world. If it is released into the world and forced to dissolve with no host to flee back into, it will quickly die.
  • Energy Base: Weapons such as blasters and lightsabers have a noticeable effect on the creature. With a number of well-placed shots or a powerful strike of a lightsaber this creature can be dissolved and forced back into it's home. Songsteel blades can also make this being dissolve however it will take considerable effort.

DESCRIPTION
When news of the Assault on Eshan came to The Confederacy there was a unified understanding. Eshan would be freed from the Mandalorian occuptation. With the Vicelord, [member="Darth Metus"], leave the Exarch's of the Confederacy, Adron Malvern and Srina Talon prepared their nation for war. Not unlike the Confederate strike at Copero, this invasion was one that would shake the galaxy. It would show the Confederacy was a nation to be respected and feared. Almost immediately [member="Srina Talon"] began to focus her efforts on the impending invasion while her counterpart saw to his own agenda. Adron Malvern knew of the Mandalorians and their treasured armor, their Beskar'gam. Made from one of the finest metals in the galaxy it was sure to be a tipping point for the battle. So the Exarch sought to tip the scales back even. There was not enough time to forge an arsenal capable of shaking the foundations of the Mandaliorian's resolve. In the end only a single weapon could be forged, a single gift to be given to the Mandalorian Empire.

A silver ring, crafted from the finest Songsteel with a royal jewel on the crown. It was magnificent, adorned with a skull to show the result of it's devestation the ring would appear a fancy bauble. Although the ring was so much more than a fashion piece. It was a weapon of very specific intent. Covering the songsteel band are small runes, invisible to the naked eye, yet they radiate with the power of the Dark Side. By tapping into those runes, those seals, a Sith of considerable skill can release a terrifying curse onto their enemies. Te'Kyr is a common Mandalorian phrase for 'The End' so it seemed appropriate to Adron that the warriors who fell by this weapon understand their fate. When released from this band, the Te'Kyr will appear as a shimmering mass of silver particles several meters wide. It will play and dance around it's master for the briefest moment before taking true form. The form of a Ralltiir Tiger with brilliant blue eyes will appear, floating and protecting it's master. This beast, will hunt and destroy any metal within it's path, and it has a ravenous appetite for Mandalorian Beskar. Able to chew and dissolve Mandalorian iron in a matter of minutes it is a devestating ally.

While the beast is under the command of Srina Talon, it is difficult to control and will want to devour all metals, even those belonging to Srina's allies. While it will never target the person wearing it's ring, it's home, it will eat through all else. However, which a stern mental connection that beast can be safely tamed to heel. Weak to blaster fire and lightsabers, the Ralltiir curse can be easily dismessed for a time, however projectiles and metallic weapons will only be consumed by the beast. With an inability to chew through Songsteel, the Ralltiir curse is housed within the songsteel band and can be transferred into other songsteel hosts for a limited amount of time. {Swords, necklaces, rings...etc.} Since it is unable to chew through songsteel, a songsteel sword is effectively the only metallic weapon that it cannot eat through.

[member="Adron Malvern"],

If you would like to mention using the basis of the unnamed plantlife from Haruun Kal, that were Metal eating fungi, then this will add some context to the basis of this submission.

As well, can you mention metals like Ultrachrome, and metals that are immune/resistant to such metal eating properties are a weakness to it.

Hello!

So the only metal I wanted resistant to this is songsteel, as it was designed to be encased in songsteel. It should still be able to eat through ultrachrome (slowly) since it is not a metal-eating fungus. It is purely a Sith projection of the Dark Side, much like these except slightly weaker and targeted towards metals.
