Tell me a story (Ordo)

"I'll ask Syn or Joshua maybe they know something" She ate silently war would present a problem, how many times had she found herself on a battlefield facing someone she had healed, or befriended because of her healing skills.

There was definite attraction at work here as Rianna looked over at Ordo. She swallowed hard her thoughts drifted to Yokuni, and all they had shared. Her time with his clan on Mandalore. She tried not to sigh but it was obvious things were getting complicated and quickly maybe it was another kind of tension. Maybe. Oh she didn't know.

When he started to talk to her, she looked over, waiting what would he say. Was it...oh god yes, "Air, yes I would love to take a walk" Rianna loved the outside, and she loved walking it helped her think things through it helped her connections to the force and guided her path. yes outside would be the best place for her to be.

He stood and tossed his jacket over his arm. He pulled a credit chip from his pocket and tossed it on the table. His nerves weren't going to take much more of this. He felt like a high school boy worrying over a note in passed in studyhall.

He reached down with a kind smile and cupped his hand to help her up and tossed her medkit over his broad shoulder.

He was enamoured by her beauty and grace but as was his nature said nothing to give it away. His tone, his eyes, his smile they spoke for him. What were words compared to that. He offered an arm because he'd seen it in a holovid once along time ago.

"Shall we Ri'ika?." He said with a soft low voice.

Rianna smiled as she rose up taking his arm she slid her hand through to rest upon his. For some reason at that very moment she felt proud. Why?

He was taller than she, slowly her gaze reached his face. Emotions were clear. How would she react? They walked outside a soft breeze blew gently the whisper kissed their skin as it fluttered by. Rianna looked up so much to see so busy was this place. Coruscant home of technology.

Outside she felt renewed. "It can be so beautiful here don't you think, course not like home but still " They walked along oblivious of others

"Beautiful," he repeated her word as he cast a glance at her profile. The myriad lights cast their hues on to the walking pair as they strolled. The air was cool on his skin and he welcomed the refreshment from the fire that had somehow begun burning deep in his innermost person. She was a divine being to himbas they walked, just as Bria had been all those years ago.

He looked at her and laid his hand over hers as it rested on his arm. He let his rough farmers hand rest on her soft angelic hand.

"Your a good woman." He said not looking at her. He looked at the stars or what her coukd see of them. His big heart was a tangled mess and it would be a hard thing to unravel but Ordo was a simple man and even a simple man knew what the beginings of love were. He looked at her every chace her got. Why did things have to be so complicated? He was full of thoughts and ket one slip.

"Do Jedi marry?" He asked and immediately wanted to recall the words.

'Too late now genius' he thought scolding himself.

She had not seen that he had turned his head looking at her. But she could sense emotions and his filled the force around her. Rianna since joining this temple had taken little time for herself. She had been working to restore the Hall of Healers and establish the supporting medica l corps.

So when he asked her if Jedi married she thought a moment before answering. "I have heard that some do. " She had not met any. " This new order requires control of emotions but allows involvement." Could she control her emotions? If strong as love is could she keep it in check if the one she loved were in danger.

She wasn't sure what to say though her heart thundered, "children I believe are allowed. But you know marriage is difficult no matter what the circumstances"

Ordo nodded his understanding but he couldn't speak. Once again his big Heart was pounding and he could barely breath. What if, what if he loved her? Could things ever be what she deserved? No, he couldn't imagine any life outside of perfection being good enough. She of course would be happy, but was that enough? Ordo was not the kind of man to trifle with a woman, he simply couldn't give anything other than his all. He tried not to feel nervous and he tried not to take to think about her or the tempest feelings she had awakened in him.

What if she saw him in battle. What if she learned of his nonchalant way of dropping into a war zone and giving no thought to survival. Of course after he stopped his search he had little reason to hold on to life. Some days were just drifting by. That was what had brought him here in the first place. He wanted something to live for something to give him purpose. Did the Manda have a hand in this? Was she what he had come here to find? He looked down and shook his head. He really was a mess. He looked up and just decided to pretend he was a Normal man walking with a beautiful woman.

He touched her hand softly and smiled. His face with it's many small white, and pink scars, probably looked terrible to her. She with her ethereal beauty and he with his scarred face and broad shoulders. It was a Beauty and the beast story to Ordo. He hadn't deserved the woman he had loved on Corellia, and left her for a foolish job. He had to stop being like this. it was time. Something had to change. he took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves.

"If Marriage is anything like love, Ri'ika," He began, trying not to let her feel or hear his emotions. "I'd probably stand around confused ninety percent of the time."

Humor, he had always liked humor. It was good for the heart. He wished he were home and wished he had an answer on what to do about his feelings. If he were home on his small farm not far from Keldabe he would light a fire and sing her songs until the sun came up and maybe he would know what to do, but for now he pretended they were just a happy...couple, strolling along with nothing but time.

Rianna held onto his arm lightly, he treated her as if she would break. Was it because she wasn't mandalorian, possibly. She could break, and rather easily. She wondered how many more times she would venture onto the battlefield before getting hurt, and would she hold to her convictions. She would not kill. Well not without cause, someone trying to take her life that would be cause. But then again she had laid her weapon aside that one time. As if sensing, her side hurt.

How to answer him about marriage, hmmm. "Marriage is a side affect to love." They walked slowly down the sidewalks, Coruscant at night everything was lit up beacons everywhere to entice someone inside. Rianna had enough of inside for right now, she thrived out here. "Love makes you" She smiled, "impulsive, light, invincible" She laughed this time. "Everyone should fall in love, its" she paused now thinking on her words.

"Its knowing you're wanted by someone, knowing that you've always got someone to turn to in times of need" She stopped friends, more than friends. Someone you fell in love with made her feel like you could fly, least that was her version of it. She imagined everyone had a version of what they thought love was. she looked over at her companion. "What do you think love is?" She wanted to know his thoughts on it, since they seem to be speculating on the relationships of men and women. Why not just be out with it.

Love he was struck with but as to define it he could use a thousand words and never truly touch on the depths of it. He looked at her. She knew. He was suddenly aware of the force that lay blocked deep in his being and then it was gone.

"Love," his voice deep and thoughtful, "is what gives you shereshoy. You feel you can do anything. You feel that no matter what happens you have someone to turn to and they will understand. There's nothing that feels out of reach when you love and are loved in return."

He was not doing so well here he thought. He could have said more but it would have just been him rambling and never hitting the point.

"Love makes mountains crumble and tempest calm while making you burn and soar one the clouds." His voice was distant in his ears.

He was feeling something like it now and he didn't know what to do about it.

All this talk, and then she realized she was helping him find his love, his Bria if she still lived. A sobering thought. A great calm fell over her her brow furrowed. She had no right. She looked up and smiled pushing her thoughts away. Yes he had searched for her the last eight years, but maybe she had access to information he did not.

"Yes love also means sacrifice" She would sacrifice She had done it before. She felt something inside something hollow aching. How silly she thought. We've only just met. Only just talked. Oh.

She looked down to the ground, " So " without realizing her fingers had tightened on his arm. "If I find any information would you want to travel to check it out. With. Me?" Least she could do.

He felt her sqeeze his arm. Her small hand around his sun beaten skin. He had to wonder what she was thinking and what he was thinking for that matter. She had offered a kind word on the build and a listening ear over a small meal. He needed to remember that. He needed to focus. Maybe after he tried this one more time to find Bria maybe then he could think clearly. He started his counting again to keep his mind busy.

"If you really want to come with me to search." Ordo said fighting the confused emotions that swirled and crashed inside him, "then I'd be glad for the company. Depending on what we find I may need it."

Blunt and simple minded fool. He wasn't strong enough to hold everything in.

"Would you mind if I walked you home?"

Rianna smiled again. She would love it if he walked her home. Such a gentleman, "yes please I would enjoy that very much" She held onto his arm. This was very complicated now. Everything twisted inside her

She couldn't explain it she felt connected. She felt. Emotional.

"And yes I want to be with you. I mean go with you if you'll have me that is" Goddess that sounded all wrong. Or was it a slip of the tongue.
What would more time alone do to them. Was there hurt for them both ahead. She couldn't see it. Maybe she didn't want to.

It was just an excuse to keep up his pretense of them being a normal uncomplicated couple. Which was very far from what he felt and knew. It was complicated and with the danger of becoming more so.

He thought she had said she wanted to be with him! But that couldn't be right his ears were playing tricks on him.

"I would love you...to have you...I mean your welcome to come with me." He hadn't slipped like that for years not since...oh Manda. What was he going to do?

He rubbed her hand on his arm again at a loss for words. He smiled down at her with red and heat in his cheeks.

"Sorry." He said knowingly "I'm not the best conversationalist."

She nodded her acceptance that she would go with him. No matter what they found one way or the other the trip would be interesting, and...well interesting. She felt a heat in her cheeks

Now who was the school girl, the young padawan who would have died for the cute guy to give her a smile. In a single moment, she blushed. "We are a pair that is for certain" She meant alike, similar in actions. "I can talk when it is needed" That was the thing to know when to talk, and when to act.

"I will see if I can find any information out about the shipment, and contact you." She half smiled, "you'll have to tell me how to contact you." She was asking for his number, she almost giggled. They walked toward the temple. Her home, where she looked over, "Will you be staying on your ship tonight?"

She was a wonderful joy to be around. He felt like it was ok to just be himself in her company. He could sing and dance and laugh with her.

As she spoke he hung on her words and fought hard not to show it. He thought he understood what she meant. They seemed to have similarities between them.

He took out a comlink and adjusted it as the got to the temple steps and handed it to her.

"It's direct to my other commlink on my ship and my buy'ce." He blushed like a kid again. "I'm on extended leave my ship is going to be at the temple hanger where I landed before. I'll be there if you need me...to get a hold of me that is..."

He turned to look at her and cupped a hand and lifted her chin so her could look at her.

'Bold Ordo. Say good night, say good night.' His mind said. The rest of him disagreed.

"Night Ri'ika." He said with a kind smile.

She smiled, and then pushed up on her toes, and kissed his cheek, "Night Ord'ika and thank you for a wonderful evening. I'll be in touch soon" And with that she slipped away, and up the stairs, looking back once, and then disappeared into the temple.

She had her work cut out for her, to find the information that could lead them to the one place she didn't want him to go, to Bria.

Ordo's big hand went to the spot she had kissed as she walked away. He smiled as she disappeared into the Temple. His head swam and his heart leapt. He chuckled softly a little confused and full of emotions he couldn't pin down.

He stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked to his ship. He tossed his jacket on his rack and pulled off his shirt. He stood still confused about what he was going to do.

He sat down on the small bed he kept military tight. What would he do with himself if she were here with him on a trip. He moved to the floor ti do his before bed crunches.

"This will be....interesting." he said to himself.
